I loved this movie. It was amazing. The character progression was really good b/c there r so many elements that end up coming together. The love triangle was daring & lots of things were hard to understand in the beginning. B/c of the relationship b/t the 3 main characters it is hard to not be moved by this movie. There is a seceret that comes to light b/t the 3 leads, and it makes things even more difficult for every1 on some lvl. I really enjoyed watching this movie & suggest that others watch it as well. It will make u rethink love & the many ways it can be recieved.

No words can express how I felt after the end of this movie. Sad, mostly. Sad because even though I felt what the ending was going to be, it still could not stop the tears and sadness. Kang Dong Won is an acting genius!! Every time I see one of his movies, I wish so hard that he would do dramas more often. But the privilege of seeing him on the screen is still just that, a privilege. Lee Chung Ah as Han Kyung was delightful. It was awhile before I realized I'd seen her before in a drama but unfortunately, it was not one of my favorites; however, her acting in this was stellar. Jo Han Sun, this was the second time seeing him in a movie but as Hae Won, you could not feel nothing but his love for Han Kyung. There is rumors that they will make this into a drama. After watching this, I don't think the drama would do it justice, nor would I want to see the drama. This drama runs the gamut: from comedy, to action and finally sadness. Expect to see all but also expect to see a well acted movie!!

Not crazy about this one. It has potential but I think the story was a little too rushed. And it ends in a trope that I've now seen in at least 4 dramas or movies so I'm kinda tired of it. Don't read on if you are completely opposed to vague spoilers that don't go into detail.

Sigh. We get it already. Forbidden love = tragic ending. Can we at least have a different kind of tragic ending? This is probably meant to be a tear-jerker but when you can see the ending coming a mile away it's not as effective.

I found the relationship between the two rivals more interesting than the forbidden love angle. It's obvious they used to be friends (you don't fight in tandem with someone like that unless you've done it before and have a rhythm and communication with them, right?), now they're not. Seems like there was more story there that could have been explored.

STORYLINE: 4.3/10
So I spent half the movie bored and confused why Tae Sung and Hae Won had hated each other (which is not even explained) or why Tae Sung kept calling Han Kyung nanu. Even when it was explained how they knew each other; it was just caused me to question whether they still wanted me to carry on assuming whether their relationship was romantic based.

CHARACTERS: 4.8/10 - ACTING: 4.5/10
No offence but the characters in this movie lacked individuality. All three characters felt like previously watched characters with no development or even outstanding acting. #MEDIOCORE

MUSIC: 3/10
I recall one song which was not captivating to note.

LIKED – The potential they could have had if they spent more time and had more originality in the character development.
DISLIKED – That I spent most of the movie confused (one thing after another – beginning to end).

CONCLUSION:
You should watch this drama if you enjoy genres such as ROMANCE – FAMILY – GRIEF – LOVE – CHEATING – HIGH SCHOOL – POINTLESS FLYKICKING – FRIENDSHIP – ILLNESS – FLASHBACKS – HOPE – MELODRAMA - JEALOUSY.

In one word: Whoa!!
If you want a school romance this is it! I absolutely loved it and it brought out strong emotions that movies rarely do for me. And they had bad boys with awesome fight scenes.

Something I really enjoyed about this movie it the fight sequences. I love movies with tough guys but was always really annoyed when one blow would permanently knock an opponent out and the victor walked away without a scratch. Not in this movie! Flesh wounds, blood, and bruises? Present. Intimidating opponents that put up a real fight? Check!

okay so the STORY. I gave a 8. Only because it was kind of generic. But there's nothing wrong with that. Its actually what I was looking for.

ACTING/CAST 10 With such a typical story line the cast made it so real and emotional. They didn't seem forced at all. It was just great. my only complaint is really insignificant but chemistry between the leads could have been stronger.

MUSIC 8 Meaning I didn't really notice it but it didn't make me cringe, so it must have been good, but would normally get a 6. But, the end song was great and really just embodied what I was feeling at that point so it got a 8.

REWATCH 10 It is a movie so its not long and drawn out. If you got two hours and want to see good looking guys fight over a girl and maybe cry a bit, this is for you.

Tae-sung being related already takes him out of the running of being a possible love interest... regardless of his feeling they r blood related and this would be very weird, if they would've ended up together. him being such a tragic character was freaking depressing...

But the major fact is i don't get why they r so infatuated with her. it's not that i'm saying - she ugly, but in order to be thunder-struck the sec u see someone, there should be something special about them, and she is just another girl. what's more, the more we get into the movie the stupider she gets (sorry, but that is a fact) that so called friend calling her - just to show her that she is now dating the guy she had a crush on. that not enough to wake u up to the fact that she aint ur friend? u keep taking her calls and meeting up with her? why?!? unless u love being stepped on ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
then there is that encounter with the bo girl, after understanding she was set up by their "friend" she stands there getting beat, saying she won't forgive them and crying. that not Stupid?!? not to mention that scene in the field where u got cops after ur ass and she standing the bawling her eyes out...

i hate female leads that don't have a backbone, don't need to be kick-ass, but u have to show growth and have to stop being a pushover... otherwise what's there to root for? meeh

After I watched the Our Happy Time or Maundy Thursday where Kang Dong Won was the lead actor. He mesmerized me with his great acting skill.
So after that I checked all his movie then all of it had a good reviews.

Especially the Temptation of Wolves, I'm so curious about this movie and then I watched it. I must say from the start it was predictable love story of teenagers but as the story continued. I admitted that was wrong :( Its about love story between Han-kyung, the country side girl. The two most popular guys in their schools Hae-won (Kang-Shin High School ) and Tae-sung (Sung-Kwon High). They both fell in love in one girl. But the twist of the story Han-Kyung and Tae-Sung are both related to each other (brother and sister). And Han-Kyung and Hae-Won became a couple. Hae-won jealous about Han-kyung sister-brother relationship to Tae-sung.
Actually, I hoped Kang Dong Won ( Tae-Sung) and Han-kyung in the story became a couple because they had a strong love chemistry to each other. ( My Idiot Idea Only hahahahha :D Its far from reality! )
But the sad part was in the end of the film that everyone should prepared for a box of tissue if you want to watch this great movie beacuse I really cried like I was part of the scenario.
This movie won a lot of awards. Thumbs up!

There is absolutely nothing I didn't like about this gritty little romantic drama. I LOVED IT. It's not sweet or cute although the Actors are very young. I feel the subject matter is mature enough to hold the interest of all ages. how should I describe it.....
A short BIT OF FILM GRAFFITI. ?

I admit I was completely taken off guard by this drama. Not your typical love triangle but I've come upon this premise before. Two High School Gang leading boys in opposing Gangs. One new girl from out of town. Add 1 huge twist and a tragic circumstance and you've got A DRAMA WELL WORTH THE TIME.
It's very BOLD BUT WARM. There's DEPTH too. Nostalgia formed a lump in my throat really.

While I appreciate the acting, I think this movie has a few flaws. For one (and this isn't the fault of the movie) the synopsis definitely does not prepare one in advance. I thought I was going to watch a sappy, soppy love triangle. Boy, was I wrong... After the initial build-up from the first 50 minutes, you're thrown 4-5 curveballs within the span of an hour - things that shouldn't have been resolved easily, yet somehow managed to be. Put simply, there was too much plot for so little screen-time. The plotline could work for a show, maybe, but some might consider it drawn-out if it was given multiple episodes. I don't know what to say other than that there's a dark overtone throughout the movie and some cringe-worthy, early 2000's fashion. The main male lead is handsome, though! Lastly, do not watch this if you're looking for something upbeat; I'm going to have to watch something happy and lighthearted now to bring my mood back up...

"Romance" is a Very Teen Drama 101 Story

[Written/Watched Sep 28, 2019 on Letterboxd. Expanded 1/21/2021]

"Romance of Their Own" (unironically named "The Temptation of Wolves") is your usual bottom of the barrel (K-Drama) romantic fare for teens. (I have no doubts I would've loved this at fifteen or sixteen!)

Where the usual melodrama of a K-Drama would bring something to the table, the levels of saccharine high school antics that's played fatalistically straight here is a problem.

"Romance" isn't without its points. It's sense of humor (at times) is great, the schoolboy brawls can get brutal, but never fail to be entertaining. But the played-straight cool guy antics of the dudes (that would seem begin in a manga) fails to endear me to either male character. On top of that there's never been anything interesting about watching an indecisive teenage girl flip-flop over which jerk she wants be with in the end.

Soap operatic plot twists better suited for a television drama renders one of the characters ineligible in a story beat that just doesn't land the way the story thinks it should (you will roll your eyes). Teenage boys reducing girls to an object in an effort to determine who the best man is in the end, is irksome, and does nothing to add depth to the love triangle that dominates the film.

They grab her by the wrist, make decisions for despite her protest, and use other girls in an effort to make her jealous.. Other times they basically just abduct her in a show of manliness. It's all very nauseating, and I spent what little of the movie I watched (before I dropped it), wanting to whack both boys over the head with a bat.

This movie was amazing. Yes, it had the potential to be a drama because the story line was complex... but I think that the twist would have become extremely disturbing in a drama format. The cast was superb, believable to the last line. The music was spot on and the song for the end credits was slightly haunting, and makes me want to go download it.

No matter much I love Korean movies and dramas there is always a moment where I say to myself, here is the cliche that caused the K-Drama Spoof genre on You Tube. It didn't happen this time. I remained enthralled from beginning to end. I know that we are not supposed to post spoilers, but I need to give a warning... keep your tissues and a cold drink handy to soothe your throat. Tears are a given.

With So much emotions the story of movie end. Shown the strong bondation among family inspite of children of step mother and step father ,this do not put affect on children bondation ,they trust each other ,believe each other, protect each other and love each other ...Yes there is love triangle and it getting feel bad when both the character have the genuine feeling towards the female character and because of it they both got jealous. But movie didn't shown how the first lead actor fall in love with her ,though there is a love at first sight but such scene didn't shown which showed that he fall for her because of this and that .Second lead fall for her because he was her past relative ....Everything is good in this movie but I hate sad ending .....
