My March Recommendation movie
Watched this for my Recommendation Challenge from 𝑮𝒓𝒖𝒎𝒑𝒚 𝑾𝒊𝒕𝒄𝒉. Let’s talk movie…Jin-seok moves into a new home with his family, including his idolized older brother, Yoo-seok. One rainy night, Jin-seok witnesses Yoo-seok being kidnapped by a group of men. After 19 days of silence, Yoo-seok suddenly returns home, but he has no memory of the abduction.
As the days pass, Jin-seok begins to notice strange inconsistencies in his brother’s behavior. The once-kind and perfect Yoo-seok now seems like a different person entirely. At the same time, Jin-seok starts hearing mysterious scratching sounds coming from a locked room in their new house—a room the previous owner warned them never to enter.
Plagued by auditory hallucinations and mounting paranoia, Jin-seok begins to shadow his brother, only to uncover a dark truth that challenges his own sanity and the reality of his family.
From this moment on, the story spirals into a series of psychological twists, revealing that the kidnapping and the "new" house are all part of a much larger, tragic mystery involving a forgotten past.
That's pretty much the story without giving anymore spoilers.
Overall this movie really is not to my taste. At first I thought this was a horror movie, and if not for the challenge's sake, I already dropped it from the first 10-15 minutes.
Later it also bothered me with the plot twist & the ending. I really hope for something better for the ending.
But apart from all of that… This movie is a really good one. It got all the right vibe for thriller, the good acting from all the important actor/ess

the plot twist
One of the BEST movies I’ve seen so far, the plot twists are everything I would recommend this to anyone who loves horror or psychological thriller movies the pure fear and adrenaline when watching this show is one of the most deepest feelings i ever gotten. at first it seemed weird from the beginning but as you keep watching you might get your thoughts right at first but it gets better if you actually pay attention to the details from the beginning. I enjoyed watching this movie a lot and would definitely rewatch it all day this has to be my favorite thriller of all timeWas this review helpful to you?

Very Suspenseful
This story shifted in so many directions as the movie played out. It was a great concept, but a bit confusing at times. What you think is going on after the first 30 or so minutes changes to a completely different direction. Once you realize what is happening ... it changes direction again. Over all it was a well written and extremely well acted thriller.Ha Neul not only gives a fantastic performance, but his appearance dramatically changes with the current situation and time frame. It adds so much to the story.
Don't be too quick to stop watching the movie at the end, there's once scene left with the end credits that really makes you think about what you just witnessed with this group of people. It's a chilling and powerful end to a horrible situation for everyone involved!!

Amazing story with POWERFUL ACTOR!
First of all, a round of applause for KANG HA NEUL!If a movie has to be good then actors must do a good job too only then a movie can be better, well you can say this is one of the reasons why this movie is good!
Another reason is the powerpack suspense of the movie, well if you have watched many movies then I can say you can guess in advance some points but not all, IT'S RECOMMENDED TO ALL SUSPENSE LOVERS!
EMOTIONAL TOUCH you can only feel when you are quite connected till the end, everyone was pitiable and everyone was quite scary.

SUCH A GOOD TRHILLER
Forgotten is one of those Korean thrillers that grabs you from the first scene and doesn’t let go until the final reveal. The whole movie feels like a giant maze — every time you think you understand what’s going on, it flips on you again.I loved how tense and unsettling the atmosphere was. You can feel that something is “off” the entire time, especially after the brother comes back from his 19-day disappearance acting like a completely different person. It’s creepy in a quiet, psychological way, not a jump-scare way.
And the plot twist? Absolutely wild. It hits hard emotionally too, because the story suddenly recontextualizes everything you’ve been watching. I finished the movie just sitting there like, “Wait… what did I just watch?” in the best way possible.
It’s smart, tight, emotional, and extremely well-acted. If you like thrillers that make your brain spin while also punching you in the feelings, Forgotten is definitely worth it.

Starting few minutes were good but aftr tht idk wut to say
🚨****SPOILER ALERT****🚨Ok so i have hersd alot of good reviews bout this movie ppl say to this day they r traumatised or there r so many plot twist there were only 2 and werent tht major i mean whn there was whole suspense abt tht room i was like ok bro is prlly gonna be kept there and tortured or smthng but it was genuinely rlly fun whn tht whole suspemse was going on and whn his brother got kidnapped i was like oh sht and whn he came back home all chill i was like thts not his brother everythng was soo good till he heard his mom sayin all this sht to his brother on the call tht he is able to walk and sht i was like ok uk like prlly the brother will do sm sht to him keep him in tht room since no one goes there but boom the mom was acting weird everyones cover flew open and they werent his famile he was in hypnosis of him being brought back in time to re winess his crime and all wtv ye it was sht tbh i mean i expected like more plot twists to come but no legit the last plot twist was i wldnt call tht a plot twist but wtv tht the ml was a killer the movie wld have still been better if:
1) tht the fake family acc made him refresh or make him forget the night he killed his brothers family the fake brothers but it wasn acc him who killed him but the fake brother himself and make it look like he was the culprit and get him killed or smthng like tht and in the ending the ml recalls tht night but i was too late and dies
2) Tht his brother was abducted and a guy came acting like his brother and thn whn the ml caught him tht he was not acc his brother so he abducts the ml and thn he tortures him in tht no entering oom and thn he makes him forget all those things he witnessed and the only thing he remebers is tht he was tortued but wont remeber where who and why and thn tht guy pretending to be his brother acts as is he found the ml and lives with the family as the brother
Tbh ig i watched alot of mystery thriller movies so i knew wut was gonna hpn but trst me im dum whn it comes to guessing the next scene but whn the mothers cover blew i was able to guess the whole plot but obvsly many ppl might like it and many wont its all on u whether u wanna watch it or not

Good story, exciting, creepy
There were so many good plot twists that I never would have guessed. The story is so exciting and often creepy. I think Kang na heul makes great movies, he's a good actor.But the ending wasn't quite so good. It was an open ending with many questions, but it couldn't have been turned into a happy ending obv.
If the ending had been a little more exciting, or if the open ending had been better, Like in the kmovie " Wall to Wall", I would have given the film even more stars.
But still good acting skills and exciting

beautifull tragic masterpiece
i swear i didnt see that comin... first time something like this actually hit me this hardAt first it felt like a normal suspense thriller… but slowly it turns into something way deeper n by the end its not just about mystery anymore.. morelike emotional destruction
What makes it hit harder is how you start understanding both sides.. it doesnt felt like simple hero vs villain but like two people who are connected in a very messed up.. painful way.
The ending scenes in the hospital… esp involving both leads… that literally moved me
The way things are revealed gradually makes you rethink the whole story again in your head... like youre trying to process what just happened even after it ends
Acting is totally insane... both leads carried the intensity perfectly till the very end.. TBH i have never seen a movie like this before.. its disturbing, emotional n brilliantly twisted
Definitely one of those films that stays in mind after watching

the penthouse of crime genres
I really can't think of a good rating for the writing, the 1st time I watched it I really thought it had alot of twists and progress that it was amazing, but during my rewatch that point was the weakest link. it just looked like a combination of 4 or so movies. too many things happened to the point that one would think "is this originality or is this The Penthouse"1st we had the brother's kidnapping, then he returns and he's being suspiciously unlike himself and that was the engaging part until the police station scene where we realize it's not 1997 and he's not 21
I think that's the point where most movies would've stopped, one bug plot twist is enough, but no we get another twist which is the ml is a murder suspect and we reach the 2nd big plot twist, it was an accidental murder.
but then they added another big twist that the husband planned the murder, but again worse twist the "brother" is the son and then they just end it with the biggest twist of all, THEY ALL COMMIT SUICIDE....................... wow just wow... I really see that as a cheap writing move, the writer couldn't think of "redemption" so they just killed off their main characters...
also at some points I was like, that song is so unfitting and annoying so again the "ost" was horrible as well
so why did I give this a 10? becasue at the time of my 1st watch it felt original and I loved the acting xD
