Cuteness overload!
It's Simple :
Super Duper Adorable, Cute & Sweet, Warm, Fun, Weird, Light-Hearted.
Off-course imaginable only in a cute manga setting,
..Although..the female lead; her simple hearted foolishness withdraws us from thinking seriously about stuff, which we probably should have, she is a simple girl who just does what her heart tells her to do.
The male lead is too noble to comment on, he is like a Buddha out of a manga Hero, ..should I say Manga Buddha?!(no offense intended) hmmm ..he is too young & innocent, brave, wise, skilled, disciplined, respected, good hearted, beautiful (yes beautiful!), and handsome yet strong willed; all around Hero and Crush Worthy .. off-course totally drool worthy as well but oh, he is too young :D Yap ! he is Perfect, so we have to forgive our simple minded heroine for all her falling head over heals can't stay away from him attitude! <3

......the criticisms for the story are simply wiped out in my mind by its sheer straightforward foolish simplicity and all encompassing hilarious weirdness (characteristic of Jdorama manga adaptations I have watched previously) which somehow makes it refreshing and oh so sweet..weird, foolish, sweet ...and totally adorable. its not possible to talk more about this without going into some plot details so I will skip all that.
Spoiler.. ............Its as if the writer is saying; 'keeping it simple , the parents simply are that understanding and letting go', not going into their own pain and concerns, off-course with a son that genius, anything is possible in the future, right!! (I suppose they thought like that?! .......there! had to get that out of my system haha)

This is NOT a serious drama though, so let go off "we wouldn't actually necessarily support this in this way in real life. " when going ahead to watch this, but you probably won't regret having done that.

Only one thing remains at last; The chemistry of both the cutesy leads, is 'Cute & Adorable', yet Warm, Sweet ..heartwarming and pulls you in, cheering for them hard, despite everything, even intense in a way..something that is very sweet about it, is also very intense.
The setting is..quite creative & fresh, it looks like its been done before but its cool & different in a way. Its is actually a pretty creative storyline, in its light heartedness.

Spoiler_ish.........Not only does she herself falls in love in a decisive yet uncomplicated way in an instant, She pulls his heart in and makes it all mush for her, before he knows what hit him, simply by her sincere innocent unconditional love for him. not to mention he is totally intrigued by her before even realizing who or what she is.

One track mind simple sweet love and romance are centre-points of this, in a weird foolish Warm way. Its just fun, cute and lovable. "Love can conquer all" in a simple, creative, light-hearted way.
Loved It!

Did I say Super Duper Adorable, Cute & Sweet enough?!! Yap!
probably..no, definitely gonna re-watch again when subs for last few episodes come up

(I had to edit this twice, after loosing what I wrote earlier, so, apologies if its repetitive or not to the point appropriately )Also, thanks to MyDramaList Article "Love is the air, Jdrama style" that recommended this, I would probably have missed this if not for that

This is one of those super underrated, extra cute dramas. If you are looking for something sweet, funny not too ridiculous I would say this is the one.
The story is simple, very simple, nothing too serious with enough funny scenes in, The gramps has to be my favorite out of many.

Also the best part of the story? The super cute, sweet couple. If I had to explain this couple sweet is the best word. I saw the two of them acted before in Sakarada Reset too but not as the main. I wish they have more films together.

Unfortunately it's only subbed uptil the 8th episode. The others I had to watch raw so basically since my Japanese knowledge only goes as far as "Arigato Goazaimas " only one can imagine how much I actually understood the last bit of the story but I hung on for the sake of the cute couple, You wouldn't regret watching this at all.

Also good news : There's a TV special that has been confirmed so patiently waiting for it <3

Just plain kyun!

It's the perfect mix of time-slip and historic romance that I've been searching for! The kyun-kyun moments in between each major event don't fail to get me as light-headed as Yui. I was looking for a short show to spend my free time at my workplace but ended up getting lost in the show and losing focus in my work ^^;

Now, on to why I loved the show. First, the chemistry. The chemistry between Yui (Yuina) and Wakagimi (Kentaro) was perfect from the very first time they set eyes on each other. Soft interactions replied with soft moments, and passionate interactions replied with strong moments. Perfect OTP of the year for me. Next, the story line, I personally love myself a good show with cute romance and historical comedy (really can't find many of these around). Time slip's seem to be quite the rage recently too, and that helps out a lot more in building the character gap that you see in Yui. It's just adorable to watch her change from a cute otome to a dedicated guard. Lastly, the characters. What can I say, Yuina is cute; and cuteness is justice.

Give this show a chance if you like 1) time-slip rom-coms, 2) strong girls who are cute, and 3) cute girls.

I started watching Ashi Girl with fervor as soon as I ran across it. The premise was unique and fun for a Japanese drama, where we do not usually see a wide array of historical-fusion as we do with Korean and Chinese dramas. The characters were loveable and the story sucked me right in.

However, as the drama progressed, some plot points/character attributes began to bother me—most upfront was Yui’s almost instant infatuation with Wakagimi. I get it, he’s really cool. But in the beginning she didn’t really know that and spent such a short amount of time with him for her to suddenly exert so much effort to be with him…even to the point of being willing to risk her life for him. It was a little extreme, though more understandable as she got to know him more.

Wakagimi himself was somewhat of a flat character to me. There were moments when we saw some dimension to him but overall by the end I still didn’t feel like I knew him at all beyond “cool and caring leader.”

I will say Yui shocked me in the end as well with her decision. I won’t say what it was as you can read the comments for that spoiler if you choose but the way it was portrayed seemed really unrealistic to me. She didn’t even cry or seem emotional at all about the choice she made, which in and of itself didn’t frustrate me so much as her response to it.

Also, and I will spoil this because damn if I’m not pissed: we never get a kiss! WTF. There are a couple of close calls (where they “almost” kiss but then get interrupted) but then the show never went through with it. If you’re not going to give us a kiss…why bother teasing us with almost-kisses?? *fumes*

Overall I was left feeling like it was a good, fun watch that ultimately and unfortunately wasted a lot of good potential. Whomp whomp.

Adorable ❤

If you love series that are straight forward without much drama this is for you. The story itself is not that realistic so don't expect too much. But the female lead is so adorable and she had captured her character (without being too cheesy) perfectly for me. And the male lead actually did really great too as he portrayed his character as noble, elegant, and wise without being too stiff.

All in all the characters are really great I just hope there was at least main couple centric episode.

Viagem no Tempo Muito Longa

Aqui vou eu em mais um drama de viagem no tempo... Bom, Ashi Girl começa muito bem, a primeira metade do drama é divertida, levinha e bonitinha. O problema que encontrei foi na segunda metade do drama.

A partir do episódio 6 a história fica maçante, forçada e desinteressante.
