One of the best I’ve ever seen!!!

Amazing, amazing movie!!!!

Relationship/BL Factor:
The actors are beautiful and their acting is very believable! They have a lot of chemistry between them, so when they fall in love, you truly are rooting for them to be together. There are some great romantic scenes that feel earned, realistic and domestic. Nothing feels forced, awkward or out of place. You 100% believe that they are a loving young couple.

Plot:
Wow!!!! This was so unexpected!! Instead of being the usual (and kinda boring ^^”) high school BL or mushy BL, the main character is an assassin! The plot is very interesting! And there’s a major plot twist that is very satisfying!!!
The story is also kind of dark compared to regular movies and I really loved that!

The ending:
Spoilers, of course!
But it has a happy ending, which for me is a must!!!

Overall, the best BL I have seen yet! I cannot recommend this enough!

A really unique, beautifully written story.

To be brutally honest, when I started this drama, I thought the misunderstanding would be the main focus of the entire drama and it would just drag on, but it blew me away! A simple, yet complex and melodramatic story. Plus, that ending was so smooth.
The actors convey the characters' emotions perfectly. You can actually, physically feel their emotional struggles. Plus, it has some very intense scenes, if you get what I mean... ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Overall, a very unique and heartfelt series. Definitely recommended!

It was alright.

I’m not going to lie I was very confused in the beginning, I wasn’t sure which character was which but after a few scenes I was able to figure it out.

The pacing is very fast and the relationship between Chisoo and Gitae is very, very rushed. The transition between scenes could have been smoother and less jarring.

The acting was alright, it wasn’t my favorite by any means but it wasn’t terrible either. Though the first spicy scene did make me laugh from how realistic and awkward it was. I will say I did enjoy the relationship between Chisoo and Gitae. I wouldn't say I loved them because I didn't. Their relationship felt too fast for me to ship them wholeheartedly.

With how fast the pacing is and how short the episodes are you don’t really know enough about their backstories to understand certain things, at least I didn’t; for example Chisoo’s nightmare where he woke up screaming left me a bit confused. And the ending is very open ended you can decide what happens next yourself.

I’ve watched this BL drama at least 3 times over the year. Of all the BL’S I’ve watched, this and only two others have interested me enough to watch multiple times. The other two are You Make Me Dance, and To My Star . Like the other two, the acting was excellent between the ML’s, and the stories of all three were very believable. I think when the actors connect with each other in a non awkward way, it really makes watching it so much more enjoyable. This drama was suspenseful, well written, well acted, great plot, and an easy short watch, just like the other two I mentioned. Believe me, worth the watch!

Something Different and Great!

When's the last time the South Korean BL market made something like this? An Assassin love story!? I honestly can't think of another example. This series/film is a great example of what could be. I genuinely Love it. It was made in 2017, by a more indie studio and it came out so well. In the years since it's release Korean BL has been mostly consisted of one too many University or Office Romance stories And while many of them are good I have to admit it's plagued by only those. While Thailand and Taiwan for example branch out into other genres like Mafia and Assassin storylines, Korea is usually stuck in the same area of 2 University students, or 2 Office workers or even another common one, Cooking Romance. That's not to belittle them. I just wish they'd branch out more.
This film is a great watch. The action scenes are really nice to see. The lead actors Actually have Chemistry & Intimacy during their romance scenes which is still something we struggle to see with many Korean BL actors who feel like they genuinely don't want to be kissing their costars. If you're like me and enjoy seeing things with action and spice then this is for you.

love the plot line of this movie with taking in lgbt, orphange children, underground gangsters or hitman
yes they pretty much exist in our society we just need to aware of them. homosexual people needs to come out according to their own pace in front of society when ever they feel like. in this we see what was outcome of chisoo when he got to know he is gay school students bully him and that harrasment can make any like anyone to go into wrong directions and taking big unthinkable decisions. gi tae another hand got good suporting hand as his sister who totally accepted for who he are .
i love how this story covers all aspects of dark side which we tend to ignore or donot want to bring in front of our society people .as if it conterversial to talk
acting of both main leads are so good , romance diidnt look cliche for me as its run time is for n hour only so it can be face pace for character development.
action scenes and fist fight with knife are so cool.
background was so calm and pale.
desecent movie overall for bl lovers.
not extreme sex scenes jut smooches and kissings which r pretty normal in every dramas

This is a short Korean drama about two hired assassins working for opposing mobsters. The drama brings the two young assassins together, Flying Dagger and Wild Dog, in a way that will lead to unexpected results amidst a great deal of violence and betrayal. Will they fall in love and overcome the multiple obstacles their relationship will trigger; or will they remain loyal to their gangster bosses and kill each other? In a world of skewed morals the strangest outcomes are possible.

The story is very cogent... with a number of necessary flashbacks - all of them tying in nicely without disrupting the main story. The editing is a little loose, with a few jumps between scenes which may have been the result of censorship but which definitely left a hole in an otherwise easy flowing movie.

The acting is very good on average; the two main characters play their parts well, even to the point of inspiring trust in the unsuspecting viewers. Though I must make special mention of the villainous character, Black Rose, played by Kim Mying Hwan. He plays his part exceedingly well... the viewer will grow to hate him.

Sound and music works well for a movie of this sort with plenty of ominous soundtracks and with regards to its rewatch value, the movie is indeed interesting enough to watch again in a few years.

So I know this will have a happy ending before watching it.

With that, expectations were set. What I did not anticipate was the plot.

I don't trivialise the problems gay people have in our society today. However, it's also good to watch a film that doesn't revolve confusion, acceptance, tolerance, homophobia or hate crimes or tragedy. This film is more of an action film, but with gay characters. Them being gay is not the centre of the plot, which is a nice change.

The actors were great and scenes are realistic enough.

So I give this a 10/10 rating.

Wow - another Strongberry film for me to love. This one was excellent, and I already want to watch it a second and third time.

The story is handled well, though I think it definitely could be fleshed out more in some places. That being said, they had a limited amount of time to work through the story and make sure all of the essential elements were there so I don't think it's a dealbreaker in the slightest. I'm more than happy with how the story unfolded.

As for the cast, they were phenomenal. Tak Woo Suk and Yeon Seung Ho did an amazing job in their roles. I'm a fan of Tak Woo Suk's now and I definitely want to see him in more projects; he's so handsome and his acting was incredible. Yeon Seung Ho's performance was also great and their chemistry was top notch.

The relationship between Chisoo and Gitae is so well done. I loved how they started and I was really glad they got a happy ending despite all of the mess in the middle. Chisoo especially deserves nothing but happiness, and I'm so glad that he got a family with Gitae and Gitae's sister. I just imagine that he's somewhere living a quiet life with Gitae and that makes me happy for them both. Even though it was a short film, I grew attached to their characters immediately.

I'll definitely be rewatching this time and time again. And as I said in my other Strongberry film reviews -- please support them legally. Don't watch their projects on YouTube. $10 for a film isn't that bad considering most DVDs are $20+ these days. You're supporting an independent company that's working hard to create quality queer films in South Korea. They deserve the support!

So worth it

I'd come across Long Time No See in Tumblr posts. People had really liked it for its authenticity and dedication of the cast. Much praise was given to the leads for showing two men falling in love for the sake of being in love. Much more praise was dedicated to the writer/director for making a film that concentrates on its gay leads being intimate, having a relationship, and not spending too much on outside concerns. It took me a bit to locate this film, but it was so so so worth it.

As other have said it's just unfortunate that this story is so short. I would have absolutely enjoyed watching a full series dedicated to the relationship Chisoo and Gitae.

Short but sweet and definitely worth watching.
Long Time No See was more like a movie rather than a TV series but it was really well done. You don’t get to learn a lot about the characters but what you do get to learn will make you feel for them. The actors do a great job conveying emotion and the main actors have great chemistry. Also, you will love the sister/mom!
The biggest and most amazing part of this show is the ending. Who doesn’t love a happy ending?!
This will be a quick watch but you’ll finish it with a smile on your face.

Short but SO GOOD.

The story short. So I'll keep short too.
It was good.
That's it.
No but honestly. The acting was great, the chemistry omg. Chef kisses. I just wished most bls would be this daring. WOAH! anyways, good job everybody y'all did that. But if you are a beginner when it comes to BLs, let me tell you, most bls wont even try to do something similar cause everybody is afraid. Most stories are about college and some topics that are mishandled. But anyways, the crew behind this bl. Y'all exceeded. Puuur.
