Must Watch for ALL BL FANS!!!

This is the BL that set the bar high for all other BLs after it!!

I'll be including a section of things you need to know before watching Love By Chance Season 2, and things you need to know about the world of Love By Chance/P'Mame before watching this series at the bottom of this review.

STORY:

Love By Chance is a light-hearted BL that does use a lot of popular BL troupes, yet it doesn't overwhelm the audience by making everything too obvious. All the couples fit into a troupe, and even the characters fit into a stereotype. That being said, the story is still lovely and all the actors are amazing, especially the leads.

Going back to the troupes, Love By Chance does touch on almost every troupe out there. E.g. coming out to parents, figuring out of your sexuality, sweet couple, lovers to enemies, poor boy and rich boy, terrible exs, rape, etc. When looking at the troupes, there is an underlying darkness that looms the troupes with most series getting very dark with it. For example, coming out or figuring out your sexuality is something that some series spend the whole series on and the plot can also get very heavy. Love By Chance, however, glazes over it very quickly. The series takes a very sweet and innocent approach to all of it that really gives off the vibe that this is a boy's first love. All the lead characters are experiencing their first love and their approach to it is very innocent and cute. They don't over think their issues and just real with it as it comes which makes all the relationships very cute and enjoyable.

However, there is one issue we must address.... Techno and Kengkla's relationship. We can even add Technic in here too!

Everyone who watches Love By Chance have lots of critiques and opinions about this couple. I'm not going to say too much about it until the second season. In this first season, we see a lot of Technic and Kengkla manipulating Techno until the last episode when Kengkla goes overboard and rapes Techno. We really don't see much of the aftermath and Techno's reaction to this, so I'm not going to say too much about it here, other than rape is wrong. I'll write more about their relationship and my thoughts on it in the second season's review.

Ae & Pete

Pete and Ae have the cutest relationship ever! How they get together and navigate their relationship is a definition of ideal first love. They could even be considered couple goals in this season. They had an attraction with each other from the start and they naturally got together. Nothing about this couple felt forced.

At first I was thrown off by how many times Pete had to be saved by Ae since he was literally a damsel in distress and needed to be saved way too many times. I felt like Pete should grow a pair and punch Trump at least once to make it seem realistic, but when we learn that Pete knows more about sex than Ae I gave it a pass. I felt that a typical guy would at least stand up for himself instead of crying all the time, but since Pete seems to be more knowledgeable about sex like a typical man, maybe he's just not confrontational. I also was worried about if they would give Ae a hero complex since he's always saving Pete. I was relieved then they made Ae pure in adult and relationship matters.

Pete and Ae really compliment each other in many ways, so really enjoyed them together. They really are the embodiment of a beautiful first love, so I can not wait to see what will happen to them in the next season.... Is what I want to say, but I've seen the second season, so all I'll say is that I need to read the book so I can understand what is happening between Pete and Ae for the second season. If you haven't seen the second season yet... How do I say this... If you're there to watch Pete and Ae's relationship go read the book first. If you don't you'll be very confused.

Tin & Can

Tin and Can are hilarious. They really have a cat and mouse relationship and they don't know why. Can is just picking a fight with Tin because he simply finds Tin annoying, but he doesn't know why Tin is annoying. Tin on the other hand, is irritated with Can constantly picking a fight with him for no reason, so he just fights back. They don't realize they are getting to know each other better as they fight. They're in each other's throats so often that they can't breathe without each other!

I found Can to be very annoying. He's not naive, he's literally stupid! He has a great heart and is very trusting, but he's stupid. Tin's very smart and he's around people that are trying to deceive him all the time, so I see why he finds Can fascinating. Can is just too stupid to lie and Tin can be himself around Can without being worried about being manipulated. However, I feel like Tin was manipulating Can. He would reveal his life history then claim it's fake to make Can interested in him, but he never really came clean to Can about anything.

The ending between Tin and Can is sad, yet completely understandable. Tin already knew his feelings and wanted to be in a relationship, but Can was still confused about his sexuality and feelings for Tin. Can was dragging Tin along, so I do get why Tin completely cut him off as a friend, but at the same time Tin should have gave Can some time to think about it. He knows Can is not the sharpest tool in the shed, so instead of playing mind games with Can, he should have been upfront about his feelings from the beginning and given Can some time to think. While I do feel a bit sad that Tin got rejected, and it's heart breaking to watch him scream in the shower, I feel no remorse because he played mind games with the person he shouldn't have played mind games with from the beginning.

Tum & Tar (& Type)

I absolutely hate this couple! They drive me insane!! So much pushing and pulling, and to top it off we're never given the complete story on their relationship and Tar's backstory with Tharn. If you want to understand this couple do watch TharnType the Series then come back to watch this. You'll get a better understanding of Tar's history with everyone. However, since I'm only reviewing this series I won't talk too much about TharnType.

Tum and Tar do a lot of pushing and pulling, and the worst part is we don't really know why. Their relationship is slowly explained to us throughout the season, but we're just left hanging for the most part. It sucks because the whole step-sibling relationship is a big taboo subject for many people since many people see it as incest despite not being related by blood. I feel like because of the incest issue and the fact that being gang-raped is a very dark subject, they just glossed over it. I think it also doesn't help that they don't introduce Tharn at all. They just use Type to talk about their backstory and it's not good enough. We never hear about Tar's issues from Tarn or Tar directly, so we spend the whole series wondering what is going on between them.

I also kind of wish they would have shown more interaction between Tum and Tar because Tum spent more time on screen with Type than he did with Tar... And Tum is supposed to be in love with Tar! I didn't see much love between them. All the time they spend on screen is spent with Type trying to not be their middle man. It doesn't even seem like Tar was in love with Tum too. In general I think Tum and Tar need their own series rather than being a side couple in TharnType and Love By Chance. Tum and Tar's backstory is too interesting and complex to be a side couple in the first place.

Kengka & Techno (& Technic)

Oh, boy! I think I already said most of my piece above, but I'll say it again, Kengka and Technic are manipulating jerks! Technic is the worst brother ever! He sells his brother out to Kengkla for no good reason at all. Kengkla on the other hand isn't too annoying if you look at the fact that he's just in love with Techno and is trying to be noticed by him. If they wanted to make Kengkla come off as the guy for Techno, I think they should have shown how kengkla fell in love with Techno first, instead of showing him being a straight up stalker. His first scene is asking for Techno's picture in exchange for a car. I don't see any good points to Kengkla to make it seem like he's the one for Techno. It's ridiculous. And then you have him teaming up with Technic to manipulate Techno? I can't see jealous Kengkla, only obsessed Kengkla. It's sad because I think that's not how his character is supposed to come off as.

Techno is one of my favorite characters, however his character is inconsistent in this series. At first he seems like a smart and normal guy, but when as the series goes on he gets more air-headed. In the morning after being raped by Kengkla, he acts very out of character. Instead of thinking smartly as he is seen doing when he's with Can, Ae, Type, and Champ, he suddenly makes goofy faces and goes dumb. It's really strange. I can imagine the Techno in TharnType being a better fit for this storyline. In fact, while I love Love By Chance's version of Techno, I think the Techno in TharnType is more of a better fit for this Kengkla we see in this series. I think TharnType's Techno would be more oblivious to Kengkla's feelings, and play along more perfectly to Kengkla and Technic's shenanigans, while the Love By Chance Techno would honestly just go out with Kengkla if Kengkla mustered up the courage to ask him and constantly pestered him about it. What do you think?

Pond & Chaam

Pond and Chaam are really an underrated couple. The only heterosexual couple in this series, they barely get screentime, but they are amazing nevertheless. I love how Pond is initially seen as Ae's horny and annoying friend, but through Chaam we see that he's actually a great guy. I also enjoy how through Pond and Chaam's character we learn not to judge people by their cover. It's a cute mini-storyline and I'm glad the main lead's best friend got a girlfriend because it usually doesn't happen in BLs.

OVERALL:

Love By Chance is a great series! It's really cute and fun to watch. I wish they didn't mess it up in Season 2...
Yeah... Don't watch Season 2 unless you are a TinCan fan.....

~~~~~~~~~~ Things to Know Before Watching Love By Chance Season 2 ~~~~~~~~~~
Love By Chance Season 2 is very different from Season 1. Many people skip the second season due to the reasons listed below.
While I think Love By Chance 2 isn't terrible, it is definitely not as good. I would recommend watching it at least once with the following in your mind before watching Season 2. If you go in without knowing the information below, you will be confused.
1. Pete & Ae's Storyline (Time skip and what happens between S1 and S2)
Before watching Season 2, you have to know a few things. First, Perth and Saint, who play Ae and Pete respectively, had a falling out due to Perth's manager. I'm not going to write the whole drama here, so look it up if you want to. It's very sad. Anyways, the long story short is Saint will not be returning to play Pete, so because of that there is a time skip between the first season and second season. Unfortunately things aren't explained well to the audience.
I'll try to summarize what happens during the time skip, but please know that I haven't read the novel too. I'm only writing what other people have said about what happened during the time skip.
After Ae and Pete get together in Love By Chance things are blissful for a while, but unfortunate there are lots of people that want Ae and Pete to break up including Pete's father. He disapproves of their relationship, believing Ae is unsuitable for his son. He wants Pete to come live abroad with him and his new family abroad. Pete’s father starts making life difficult for Pete and his mother until he has no other option but to go with his father. Pete's mom tries to protect Pete and keep him in Thailand, but Pete's father is merciless. Without a choice, Pete signs a contract with his father saying that he will attend university aboard and break up with Ae. It further states that until he graduates from university he will have no contact with Ae. Still in love with Pete, Ae takes care of Pete's mother for 3 years while he's aboard and misses him like crazy. This is where Season 2 picks up.
Also, please note that while Season 2 continues the story of Ae and Pete from that point, it's mostly just Ae's side of the story. There is barely any continuation of their relationship because Saint understandably doesn't want to appear with Perth, so if you want to see how they end, just read the novel... That being said Perth does great acting miserable without Pete, so if you're a Perth fan and want to see his growth as an actor, watch the second season. He's completely different from the happy Ae when Pete's not around.
2. Tin & Can's Storyline (Reset)
Season 1 ends with Tin's confession getting rejected by Can, but in Season 2 they do a restart. Season 2 starts off with Tin and Can not knowing each other despite Ae and Pete already being so far ahead on their relationship. If this sounds confusing... it is.
Basically when you watch Season 2, you need to forget that Tin and Can were in Season 1 and treat them as brand new characters.
Also, they are the only couple to do a reset on their relationship, so all other couples are running on the same timeline as Season 1, but Tin and Can jump back and restart their relationship.
3. Tum & Tar
To fully understand Tum and Tar's storyline you need to watch in this order:
TharnType Season 1 → Love By Chance Season 1 → LBC Season 2
Unfortunately since Tum and Tar don't have their own novel, we don't get to see how Tum fell in love with Tar, or the exact events that happened while Tar was dating Tharn. However, in TharnType, Tar tells us exactly what happened and why things happened. We also get to see the relationship between Tum and Tharn, and why Tum chooses to talk to Type instead of Tharn in Love By Chance.
4. TharnType the Series & Love By Chance the Series
TharnType and Love By Chance are in the same universe. They share the same characters, but most of the characters are played by different actors. Only Kengkla, Pete, and Tin are played by the same actors, but they only make cameos in TharnType. Also because they are played by different actors and since TharnType is a little darker than Love By Chance some character do change personalities based on the series you watch.
Lastly, it doesn't mater which series you watch first, but here is the continuity timeline.
1. TharnType – Tharn, Type, Techno and Tum are all freshmen in university.
2. Love By Chance – Set 3 years after TharnType. Ae, Pete, Tin and Can are freshmen, while Tharn, Type, Techno, and Tum are seniors.
3. Love By Chance 2 – Season 2 is set only a few months after LBC, they are all the same age as before.
4. TharnType 2 – It takes place 7 years after the events of TharnType, so 4 years after the events of LBC. Everyone has graduated university and are all working adults.
love by chance is easily the best bl series i've ever watched. from the start you instantly fall in love with the characters and the couples as they come to be.
there are four main couples in the series. pete x ae, tin x can, tum x tar and kla x no. each couple is very different and has their own backstory. although the series mainly focuses around ae and pete, i do believe tum x tar and kla x no deserved more screen time, as viewers fell in love with the relationships between the characters, yet they didn't get much story to themselves.
the only thing i would complain about this series is the ending. its understandable though, as they were expecting to make a season 2 but now they're not so sure if that will happen. otherwise i can't stress enough how badly i wanted tin and can's ending to have continued.
that's barely in their control. otherwise, it has an incredible story and a loveable cast. if you're like me you'll stop every 5 minutes to breathe as you watch each episode.
For me this is the sad, but happy series if y’all looking for cute and adorable bl series i recommend y’all to watch this
I actually don’t know what to say about this series ???? it’s a bit sad and frustrating, but at the same time i like how Ae and pete ended up together well i’m a bit sad for tin and can.???? I’ve been watching BL series/movie for almost 3yrs and all i can say is this is the best bl series i’ve ever watched????????
Ae and pete are the cutest couple ever
ae is the possessive type and also (a freakin’ horny person)????
While Pete is the timid, cute, handsome, and kind type , well y’all can say that I’m biased person , well if you focus in the story you’ll see how much pain pete get through.
and i was a bit shocked when they aired the ep 7 ???? also 9,10,11 and 12!!! how they can make it so real???? i’m just happy they ended up together
Tin and Can- this couple are like the spicy, sweet and talkactive, slow headed
Tin is the spicy person because of bein’ hot headed, but sweet at the same time because he cares for Can also to pete, but one thing I don’t like is he forced himself to others to like him ???? sad but that’s the fact. I don’t like it because he’s hurting himself.
Can is the Slow headed and talkative type of person because of bein’ slow headed person he hurts Tin so bad, but i like Can, how he cares for tin he helped tin he showed tin how happy is life is?? but sad they didn’t end up in this series.
Tum/Tar couple this type of couple could be happen in the future the one is inlove, but the other one is pretending not to know because he thinks he don’t deserve to be loved, but after the confession i found it really hard because of their situations????
Kla/techno this couple are like ‘one night stand’ only because one of them is drunk, but the other one is forcing himself to the other one, well in this earth we’re living this could happen????
I am looking forward to the novel?? i hope they finished it by now ???? but translating it to english might be hard, but i’m still waitinggg~~~ fighting
Personal Opinions
I have been watching Chinese and Korean Dramas for a while but only recently got into Thai ones. I have watched 'TharnType', both seasons and 'Don't say no' before watching this so I know it could have impacted the way I watched this. However I do have some views on it.
Firstly (i don't know which was filmed first TharnType or this, but this was was out a year earlier) seeing different actors in the different series has always been a big turn off for me regarding dramas, and seeing the characters I saw in TharnType played by different actors threw me out of the experience a lot. In my opinion if you can't get the same actors then they should have cut the character out completely, especially as he wasn't a main part of the show. It just made it odd.
Secondly the main leads. Don't get me wrong i'm not talking about the actors, they were great, im talking about the characters. Pete was written too good for the majority of the show, the guy literally had no bottom line. With most people they get pushed around, beaten and hurt have some point where enough is enough, pete never had that which made him a bit unbelievable. Ae as well seemed to go from 'stranger' to 'straight friend' to 'jealous friend without a clue why' to 'maybe im gay' to 'I love you' in the blink of an eye.......the steps that took the guys from 1 - 10 where so quick it was almost not noticeable. Again the actors were great, it was just some of the choices for the characters that could have been improved for me.
Ae's friend and dorm mate pond was just annoying, the man seemed to have no self awareness whatsoever, although at times he seemed to see things others didn't. Some of the other characters where the same, going on the annoying side of the 'funny' spectrum.
The character Tin was just a bully, although one with a sad backstory. Although the two side couples of Tum/Tar and Kla?techno where absolutely toxic. One had an elder brother trying to force himself on him while another had a younger brother who openly took part in his assault. They could have made these storylines work if they had put time into them but it was almost like 'ok that happened now move on' with no follow up on the impact it would have had on the characters at all.
I would still re-watch the show (excluding episode 14) because over all the actors did a great job and it was well shot. I just personally think the characters could have used a bit more thought in certain areas, however it didn't detract too much from the pleasure of the show overall.
Watch Only For Ae and Pete
Love By Chance left me with mixed feelings. As someone who generally dislikes school BLs for various reasons, the setting and some characters grated on my nerves. However, I couldn't help but fall for Perth and Saint's portrayal of Ae and Pete. Especially considering Perth's talent as a child actor, I was amazed by his skills at just 17 years old, though I had reservations about his young age when starring in the series.
The story revolves around Pete, a wealthy and timid university student trying to conceal his homosexuality, and Ae, a kind-hearted boy who accidentally hits Pete with his bike. Ae steps in to protect Pete from those seeking to take advantage of his wealth, leading to an intense closeness between them, with Ae developing feelings for Pete beyond friendship. However, Pete tries to ignore his own feelings for Ae to spare him from potential ridicule. Despite this, Pete falls deeper in love with Ae, who initially wasn't aware of his own attraction to men until he met Pete.
The way Ae's feelings for Pete gradually develop is beautifully portrayed, and their journey from friendship to romance feels genuine and touching. The scene where Pete comes out to his mother is particularly emotional and resonated with me deeply.
Yet, I found it puzzling that while Ae and Pete's story was well-developed, the side characters seemed to be stereotypical and messy tropes, which detracted from the overall experience.
To add to my mixed feelings, Perth's ex-manager's actions behind the scenes caused disruptions that ultimately affected the series' ending, leaving me dissatisfied.
In conclusion, Love By Chance is worth watching if you're drawn to the beautifully portrayed relationship between Ae and Pete. However, if you're seeking a well-rounded BL with equally strong supporting characters, you may find yourself disappointed.
N O S P O I L E R S
Let me start this by saying it took me almost three months to watch episode 14 and the extended version but I simply could not accept the fact that it was over. So I kept following the actors and the news and all that jazz without watching the final episodes... Now that I did and cried my eyes out the whole afternoon I can confidently say this is my favorite bl series of all time, and one of my favorite dramas in general. I remember when I started watching BL dramas this last summer and finding out about this one and anxiously waiting for it to air because I found the whole idea so cool and I had great hopes. I was not disappointed. It was the first drama I watched while it was airing. I would DIE waiting for the next episode every week!! Remember when we didn't have an episode for 2 weeks???? I HAD A CONSTANT NOSEBLEED FROM P A I N. I would watch half the episode on Friday, without subs. Then the subbed version on Saturday or Sunday. And rewatch it during the week. I had never experienced anything like this!!! And I don't even care if people say it's not a perfect series -because I know it's not- but it means so much to me. It will forever have a special place in my heart. Imagine they miraculously decide to make a second season!!! God, please let me live until then! If you're thinking wether you should watch it, do yourself a favour and WATCH IT. You won't regret it.
S P O I L E R S
I dont even know how to start... oh well, here we go:
PLOT AND CHARACTERS/CAST/ACTING- The plot was very simple yet charming? I wish there were more episodes so that we could spend more time with each couple because two of them were so rushed... but still, I liked the concept and I appreciate the fact that it wasn't pretentious and that it broke so many stereotypes!! The cast was STUNNNNNING. They just looked good together. My eyes were blessed!! I instantly followed all of them on Instagram and Twitter and fansites and update sites... I love them so much. The acting wasn't always perfect. But we have to remember this was the first work for many of them, or at least, the first big role. I think they did well despise that. I wasn't clingy to watch so that was a relief! Now let's talk about each couple:
AePete: God. Bless. These. Two. They were literally made for each other!! Seriously, if we ignored the extreme jealousy, Ae was literally a perfect character. Pete was so sweet. I fell for them in the first episode! My heart hurts with how much I love these two together. The actors did an amazing job. Their chemistry is surreal. I just want to see more of them *cries in every language I know*. THEIR FIRST KISS HAD ME SCREAMING AND CRYING FOR THE WHOLE WEEKEND ARE YOU KIDDING ME I WAS SOBBING. Okay, Beatrice, call me down, you look like a mentally ill obsessive fan (I'm starting to think I'm exactly that!). Perth is an exceptional actor and Saint did well too!! I could feel he was Pete, 100%. The coming out scene... applause. Could we ask for a more perfect couple? The extended version had that little compilation of AePete moments... my eyes still hurt from crying. Seriously.
TinCan: It's a very close tie between this couple and AePete but I have to admit that TinCan won my heart ever since episode 4 or 5. Something about their characters is so appealing to me. Tin was my favorite because he was so complex. The last episode, specially the extended version, made me cry. Real tears. Like I was him, and I was feeling what he was feeling. He felt abandoned by everyone and I think that is probably the worst feeling that someone can have. Mean did such an exceptional job with this character. We could truly feel how he developed throughout the series, even though TinCan didn't have as much screen time as AePete. Plan did a good job in making us love Can. He has quite of an annoying personality but he's very lovely too???? He also grew a lot during the series. And Plan's acting kept getting better and better. I want a whole series dedicated to this couple. I don't care if it doesn't make sense, I just like seeing them together. Mean is so beautiful I would give my soul to him, and I wish I was joking. Plan is so cute. The both of them as TinCan is a perfect match. Ahhhhh I might cry just thinking that we won't have a second season. By the way, the actress that played Can's mother, wasn't she the lady Plan's character in Make it Right had a crush on? ........Please tell me I'm wrong.
KlaNo: Okay, Mark is gorgeous. Jesus Christ, he's an angel. But I did see the problem with this couple. Kengkla abused P'No and no one can change my mind. Techno didn't seem that upset when he woke up but it still doesn't make it okay. I wish we had had more scenes with them so that they could develop an actual relationship and then both of them had agreed to have sex. Without one of them being passed out drunk. Yes, they're very cute but Kengkla telling P'No he has taken advantage of him (when it was the opposite) and then making him feel forced to be his boyfriend... NO NO NO. But again, I'm sure that in the novel it was different. Oh well, WE NEED SEASON 2!!!!!
TumTar- I have to admit that they were the couple that least excited me. But I did warm up to them towards the end. I could understand why Tar felt the way he did and I have to say Tum is a gentleman. Their last scene made me cry as well. The airport scene... ahhh, they're so cute together, even as brothers. Unlike many people, I didn't feel bothered by the fact that they were step-brothers. It's not incest because they don't share blood. They did grow up together which makes it a little weird but it didn't bother me as much as, idk, it should have? We need a second season. I'm sorry I'm repeating myself but w e n e e d m o r e.
Okay, I'm done with this part. Ouf!
Music- Probably the first drama that I didn't want to skip the intro even though I was excited to watch the episode. I find the music incredible!! It fit the mood of the show soooo well. It was rather touching at times even. Ah, the nostalgia.
Rewatch: Oh, believe me, I'll rewatch this countless times until we get our very well deserved season 2. Which may be never. That's it. I've watched the first 5 episodes at least 5 times each already. I'm not obsessed at all.
I had never suffered this much with a drama not having a second season!!! Even with YandaiXie!! Wait, the ending kind of reminds me of TinCan now that I think of it..............the couple has a similar dynamic.......you know what, I want to cry again.
I remember sharing the official links on twitter and youtube so that people would watch through those so that we could get lots of views and make sure we'd get another season. Ah, I'm not salty AT ALL. Disappointed but not surprised. Maybe a miracle will happen and we'll get season 2 one day. Yeah. Let's wait for it while sitting down because we'll get tired if we wait while standing (Portuguese proverb, I'm sorry, it seemed appropriate).
I love this show so so so much and I'll remember this feeling forever.
WISH THIS LOVE COULD BE FOREVER AND EVER AND EVER
Entertaining
This is one of the most entertains BLs. The story line is not complex but deals with issues facing members of the gay community. It also deals with the issue of a straight person becoming attracted to a gay person. I think the series handles these
delicate topics in a very respectful way. There are some behavior that is questionable but at the same time very realistic. The focus was on Ae and Pete but the side couples were appealing too. I do question the inclusion of the female student who has a crush on Ae. She’s in college but doesn’t seem to have a clue about Ae and Pete. I just hope BLs will not feel obligated to include a
lovesick female . I have no problem with having females but show them as intelligent and not so needy. Kudos to the writers and the entire
production team.
I simply loved the main characters... At first I was a little Disconcerted by so many pairings.. But in the end i loved them too... For me the
Best character- Pond
Best acting - Pete
Best boyfriend- Ae
Funniest character - can
And for those people like me, who generally felt a little strange because Thai bl stories avoid kiss scenes, this one is different.. It has many sweet and some passionate kisses... So that's one more point in favor of this show
Hopefully there will be a second season..... I'll miss them a lot otherwise...
This is for anyone who wants to just relax and enjoy some fluffy-puppy love... Totally loved it
balanace of sweet, steamy and emotional well done.
I watched this series before and i rewatched it again to review it, this is what i think...
This is written in sequence to how i was watching it.... yes im the one who watched while taking notes and making comments. Lol.....
Anywhooo on to the review .....
Starting off with a classic case of "I'm afraid you're gonna hate me" the other goes "Hate you?! How many times should i say I don't. Fine I'm gonna love you!"
Antagonists (Tin) show up like the avengers. Literally like "Antagonism ! Assemble!"
The tension is killing me, it's perfect. Super drawing and intense. Overwhelming sweet that you cant get enough of.
Like how assddkfklskslsldjksla.
Bath montage is nothing short of amazing showing a wholesome bond and relationship between Ae and Pete.
Ep7 let me just say Ae gives the best kabedon I've ever seen!!!!!!
I love how Can and Ae can throw a freaking punch its amazing and well executed, even the emotion behind it.
I love Pete's mom, she is just the sweetest soul supporter of her son like (^-^)
I love Tins Characters development, it keeps the arrogant snobbiness but makes him change from an antagonist to a protagonist (Bad turned good) without breaking his character's core. Tin is the most emotinally honest charater in this whole series. Props to him for that.
When Can said "one more time please" amd for that moment opened up to Tin it was GLORIOUS!!!!
Been going on about so many charaters except for Tar and Tum because i feel their story is quite disconnected from the main one a lot, that'sthe down side and why i I wouldn't give it a full 10. I feel like its just an add on and not necessarily needed for the main plot so it seemed out of place. Would've suggested they make a separate series focused on Tar and Tum (which i think they did if I'm not mistaken) and just focused on the main plot. Unlike Tin and Can's story they (Tar and Tum) don't really have an strong connection with the main plot so it's standing out of place like a sore thumb.
I don't know what to say about Kal and Oh i honestly think it was an all too simple take advantage taken out of someone and the subject of the joke doesn't even mind cause he's hella dense so everything was left hanging like that so I've literally got nothing to say cause it just felt so left in the air, connected but disconnected to the main plot. But still more more connected than Tar and Tum who decided to be dealing with experience and trauma in a series based on confusion and first love.
I don't like how Tin and Can ended up because i was really hoping for a good eneding between them. I was hopeful for them. Why producer, do you not give them a happy ending. I hope to see them in season 2 and i hope its a different situation this time and they can actually progress with their relationship. As for Ae and Pete i have no complaints.
All in all the series was a mix of sweet, steamy and emotional all well balanced and wrapped into one.
A series well done.♡♡♡
I have nothing much to say, just that if you're hesitant to watch it THEN THIS IS YOUR SIGN. Go watch it! NOW~! You definitely won't regret!!! Ae and Pete is my ideal BL couple :> If you're stressed and doesn't want to watch something to further-trigger you, this one is for youuuuu~ Personally I don't like watching depressing stuff, I'm sad enough with my life >o< ANNND that's whyyyy I LOVE THIS soooo much.
Story is 9.5/10
It's cute and fluffy~ i love that it didn't stress me much watching it, I also like the pacing and dialogues. They served sweet scenes instead of devastating ones, which is exactly what I am looking for. but I kind of expected a better ending.
Cast/Acting/Character is a PERFECT 10/10
WHAT ELSE IS THERE TO SAAAAAY? Ae and Pete is soooooo PERFECT, PERIOD. Acting is on point, I felt everything~ Their chemistry penetrates from my heart right into every single bone in my body. I almost forgot they were acting >o< lol.
Watch Value is also 10/10
I'd definitely rewatch this series over a hundred times more~ Until I get tired of it!!! *I'm on my 15th rewatch btw >o<
In contrast to other Thai series from a school environment, there is a noticeable shift in this one, both in the plot line (like the small Thai Cuatro Lunas or Skam) and in the fact that the biggest "sex" is no longer just the final shy kiss in the fifteenth part.
The more colorful stories of the individual couples develop mainly in the later episodes, but the fate of the couple Ae (Tanapon Sukhunpantanasan) and Pete (Suppapong Udomkaewkanjana) accompanies the viewer throughout the series, which are the civilian names of the young actors, from which we can only break the tongue, and I mention them because these the two main characters are not listed in the Cast in Details section. Above all, the character of Ae is written very beautifully and even more beautifully and tenderly played by the seventeen-year-old, likeable and athletic Tanapon, as he gradually realizes everything about himself and conquers the fragile Prince Pete step by step.
I see a beautiful Thai woman for the first time, because otherwise Thai students are usually depicted as toothy, bespectacled or lilliputian schoolgirls, so I'm not even surprised that the overall tone of such series is such that the viewer thinks that 90% of Thais are into boys. Even the character of rich Tino, another footballer Can and some others are well written.
In my opinion, probably the best Thai series from a school setting in 2019 so far, and I definitely recommend it to romantic souls who understand and don't mind tougher Asian conversational acting...
At first I saw a music video of this series before I started watching but was glad to had found another good Thai series with multiple couples with their love story to show. Not everyone is on the same page with what I have to say about this series or might agree with, but I really did felt the warmth of happiness to see each characters in the series developing their love story. (SPOILER ALERT)Starting off with Tin and Can, like everyone else said about their relationship, that it went from enemies to lovers. It did seem they went from enemies to lovers and had their sweet and sour moments, but unfortunately it didn't turned out well than I had expected (I thought they were finally starting to accept one another but guess not because of Can's thoughts and feeling of being in a real relationship with Tin, made their ending in a cliffhanger). Next couple (not really, yet) is Kengkla and Techno, which was really short in terms of having them appear in other episodes. It started out as Kengkla and Techno's little brother, Technic (or Nic) scheming a way to get Techno to be with Kengkla with is funny because Technic is selling off his brother to Kengkla in exchange for girls he likes in college and his car key. Like it only took Techno to be drunk twice getting home with Kengkla in his bedroom the second time. Literally their last scene ends with those two waking up the next morning and Kengkla asking Techno to be his boyfriend and he'll promise to be a good boyfriend taking "responsibility" since he did it with him the first time. Another short scene of the next couple, we have Tum and Tar's story. The reason why I said story instead of relationship is not because even though their step- brothers and Tum loves Tar but Tar has philophobia, fear of falling in love, because he was raped in the past. After being assaulted by Tum because he told him that P'Tharn wasn't coming back to him and wanting to know why he's hiding a secret from him, Tar manage to tell him everything even though he already planned to go back to France despite of what happened between him and Tum. There wasn't really love involve with those two, but rather a sigh of relief to know that in the end, Tar still cared about Tum before I guess he leaves to France or decided to stay back a little more when they hugged each other in the end. The last but not least couple and the number one reason why I love this couple so much and made me cry emotionally in the end, Pete and Ae. Yes they started out as strangers who accidentally bumped into each other and from there on developed more as a "taking care of you after I felt bad running over you with my bicycle" thing, into being friends, but soon develop love for each other. Seriously, Pete and Ae's relationship is something else that really made me love the series more than other series I've watched so far with minor forks in their road and sweet and sour moments that made them a deeper bond and feelings for one another. I really can't express how much I really did enjoy and loved watching this series but felt sad upon hearing news from the director of the series that there won't be season 2 , which was why I didn't finish the last episode until I really had the courage to finally finish the series and will always keep Love by Chance in my heart :)) (sorry my review is long but thanks for reading up this far)
