The first thing you'll notice when you read the synopsis, Is this another time travel story? yes they do time travel in this movie, but that is not even what this movie is about. "Seize the moment" and "having no regrets" these are the things this film taught its viewers, how important proper talk in every relationship, how small talk can change people's hearts. Drink your coffee before it gets cold, very fascinating indeed.

The pacing is episodic or better seasonal, kind off similar to movies such as "Little Forrest". There's a time skip between each story or between time travels of characters. The movie felt it would be better as a series than movie at first like other movies with episodic structure but as I continue to watch I realized the pacing is just perfect this time.

Though this movie has its praise it also has negatives. The characters at first half is much better than Arimura Kasumi's character, not blaming the actress but the way her character is written, it's boring to be exact. It just get worst at the middle when the focus shifts to her romance with Ryosuke (Ito Kentaro), this time I blame the actor, he's just to green to play such roles, didn't get the emotion his character suppose to give, just imagine Takeru Sato in that character.

The acting by the supporting casts was superb though, Matsushige Yutaka & Yoshida Yu were such scene stealers. I didn't cry watching this movie but their scenes are the one that almost gave me teary eye. Thanks to them for their spectacular performance that those 2 scenes almost carried the whole show. Even Hayashi Kento did well at the beginning. The movie is simple, almost one location, but there are brief moments when it shows great cinematography.

This is another thought provoking Japanese movie that will give many lessons in life. If you like movies such as "If Cats Disappeared From the World" there's a high chance you'll like this movie too. I'm not saying it's as good or as emotional but it would be worth your time.

"Time is cruel. If we are slacking, now and future will be the past right away."
my favorite quote in the movie

Must watch

Overall
Such a beautiful movie with some heart-wrenching moments. I loved the story and would recommend it to anyone

Story
The multiple stories were in this movie amazing. The weakest one of them was one to get you used to the mechanics of the world but after that, the rest are great stories that are powerful and impactful. I honestly didn't check to so how many minutes was left once during the movie and that is usually rare in my case. I will say that the time travel rules set at the beginning seem to be broken once during the movie but honestly, I can overlook that and enjoy the movie.

Acting/Cast
The actors were really good. Arimura Kasumi's acting made me feel in the third act and was so powerful. It's the first time I see her acting but I liked it. Ito Kentaro I had already seen in some other drama so I knew he was a good actor and he didn't disappoint.

Rewatch Value
I think that this has a very high rewatch value. The stories were amazing and I definitely want to rewatch. Also it nice to see how constant they are with details in the background that then are emphasized and made part of the story.

[WARNING: the rating and review I give have the possibility to be subjective due to my preference for the genres, scenes or casts]

It's sweet, beautiful and heartwarming. Typical of the Japanese movie if I may say (^_^)

At first I thought that I will watch a lot of people trying to back to their past. I assume that's the point of this movie, to use any opportunity to fix the past. I didn't expect they will offer the bigger and deeper story than that. I love how each individu interact with one another and how that interaction make them like one big family. I like how the interaction grow from the start until the end of their experience going back to the past.

Another thing I didn't expect is the romance story between Kazu and Shintani (^_^) (I love when he steal a kiss from Kazu, BTW XD) I thought Ito Kentaro will be just a cameo. It's always a pleasure for me when the movie/drama I watch break my assumption (^o^)

This movie is not only talk about time-travel, which what I love about this movie is rule number 2, you still can't change the present, but the future is yours to be decide. Past is the place where we can see our flaws and make a difference for our future. This movie also talk about all kind of love. Love for your partner, love for your sister, love for your spouse, love for your parents, love for your child ... and any kind of action you could make to show your love and make the other party happy.

The story just really warms your heart as it tackles the various relationships of people: with their sibling, their partner, the friend they have feelings for, and their parents. Each character have different issues that made them go back in time. Some of them have regrets, untold feelings, or things they want to find out but can't connect to the other person anymore. However, due to the rule that whatever you do in the past won't affect the present, these issues were not solved by time traveling. Instead, the characters had to pick themselves up from the present and continue their lives from there. Only this time with more understanding and courage.

The movie tells the viewers that we can't change the past and we should not spend our present regretting over it. Because it's the present that determines how our future would be like and whether the misery of the past was worth it. Another lesson is depicted through the line "drink your coffee before it gets cold," which basically says that do whatever it is you need to do before it's too late. Live in the present while it lasts.

I loved the movie for the stories and lessons. It was able to make me cry and fall in love without being too heavy or overwhelming. Although some of the aspects of time travel may not make sense sometimes, it's not much of a big deal if you won't let it get in the way of appreciating what the movie wants to show. Watch out for the old couple because they sure are my favorite!!! The way the old man smiles at his wife every time she gets happy looking at the fusion of coffee and milk just gets me every time ugh.

PS. Ito Kentaro is so cute and his character is just lovely. I already lowkey liked him before, but I officially have a crush on him now!!!

Time travel story

I really liked this movie, I like that there's different stories and all. I liked the way they did the time travel in the movie and the story behind the cafe.

However, my only critique it's regarding the adaptation. While I understand that not everything needs to be exactly like the book, there were certain elements from the book that I preferred over the movie's interpretation. I think that there were a few changes that felt unnecessary too, but the movie also did some good modifications

Overall, despite that, I still really enjoyed the movie. It captured the essence of the story and delivered a compelling and emotional experience and I also really liked the ending.

the best concept of time traveling

One heart warming movie about time traveling. For me this is the best concept of time traveling. You can only visit without doing much, everything happen is happen and you can't change it. What you can do, only know what's your mistake & correct it in your own timeline.

What I don't too like is actually the story of Tokita Kazu herself. Although a little bit make more sense, but I think they kinda stretch it to fit the story. But her story also really interesting, how they take the future to help with present time.... Haha...

Overall this heart warming story about how we should seize the time before we left with something to regret.....
