I loved the actors in this series they really showed their emotions well and I know some of them are newbie actors so I’m proud of them?.
Now onto the review. I loved the plot of this story I will say it moved kind of fast so if you don’t like fast plots I don’t recommend this drama but it will make you feel many emotions.
This drama has a VERY sad ending for one of the couples I cried for a while but I don’t regret watching it at all.
The music was great I loved the OST it was amazing.
I would rewatch some episodes but I’m not sure the whole thing but then again I’m not the type of person to even rewatch movies.
All the actors have very close relationships on and off screen they really made me love them they seem really close with each other and I love that I think that’s another reason to love this show. I really loved this series as a whole and if you are willing to cry your eyes out but at the same time warm you heart I definitely recommend this.

I am fascinated with the story line of this B/L series. How beautifully put together. It touched my heart and I cried a lot! It shows the true feeling of every human being on this earth that deserves a chance to love, regardless of any physical differences. My heart went out to every protagonist of the story. It was a sweet way to start the feelings for each other. Each character was appealing to the eye. Gorgeous men, of course. At first, I was afraid it was going to be one of the American gay stories who spent most of the time talking in the bed and talking nonsense. It was an unpredictable ending, it broke my heart and I could not stop crying. Loved it!!!

Could have been a 10 if it had a different ending

This is definitely a good Drama, however it did kind of feel like the ending didn’t fit the rest.

Actors: I liked the the choices for the actors and their acting. The only thing I didn’t like as much was how dangerously skinny one of them was and maybe that one of the other characters seemed to change into a completely different person when he was horny.

Plot:
I really liked the side couple and their story. For the main couple: This started out as a really cute Highschool romance. I loved how one character found out about his feelings, his change in behaviour afterwards. It all fit quite well. I really liked how he handled his feelings and decided to go after his love interest. My problem here would be that we didn’t really get to see how the other characters feelings started developing. A little more of that would have been nice.
Their relationship itself was quite cute and I liked how the obstacles they got thrown in the way played out.
I didn’t have a problem with there being a focus on sex for a few episodes, since to me this is a natural part of a relationship that should be dealt with, especially with high schoolers. However one of the characters did seem a little too keen on the whole thing.. that made it a little weird on some parts.

All in all the story leading up to the end was a really nice story of first love.

However the end just really really felt off and not satisfying at all.
Sure life sometimes makes unexpected turns. But from the perspective of a Drama watcher, who was not prepared for this at all, it just really felt off.
The last episode was just really weird all the way through. To me there would have been many other ways to keep the ending but make it better, or give it an entirely different ending that would have fit the feeling of the rest of the story better.

In the end this was a good Drama with a kind of unfitting ending.

One of he worst ending I have ever seen

Until the last episode, the series was going great, the characters were trying to peace everything but the last episode was a big turning point in the whole series.
One of the leads dying was a bad ending but also, the final episode was completely illogical. It's like the pieces that the characters were trying to join had a blast.
Wouldnt recommend this series, not just because of the bad ending but because of the illogical stuff in the story.
One more missing thing from this series is the story of side characters, it was like just a glance was shown of some of the side characters while they had an important role in the story.

My First

This one will always have a special place in my heart because it's the first BL I ever watched (surprised I watched more after lol). I highly recommend it, this series is so well done, and while there are a few gaps in the characterization, it's so soft and sweet you can forgive it.

The intimate scenes omg...blush, but worth it.

The side couple I did like, it's a nice contrast to the main couple.

My advice however is not to read the comments as you watch (spoilers abound) but so good. I will rewatch when I get up the courage too, and while I won't spoil anything for you, prepare your heart for this one.

This drama made me feel all the emotions to be experienced in real life. Happiness, sadness, loneliness, love, friendship and hate... to be honest its deserved a better end . I would really like to remember with good senses but now it only hurts my heart. All actors in the series performed extremely well Especially Wayne’s crying scenes made me cry too. They loved each other so good and soft... maybe not soft all the time but when you watching their parts you feel that love. At the end he had learned how to be loved and how to love, all this time he was always alone, but now there was someone who loved and cared for him. It is very painful for him to be worthy of such an end while he has had everything he has starved, sleepless, worked for. Unfortunately I'm having difficulty gathering my words and my English can do that much. Finally I want to say that no one can replace Yuxigu... I will never forget him because he taught me so much things

SPOILERS

I dont know if anyone is gonna read this review but i wanted to do my part as a BL watcher and give a little bit of details to someone like me who checks the rating and review comments of a drama before i watch it.

This is one of the few BL series that make me confuse regarding the question “should i recommend it or not?”
I dont know what to say. Honestly, they balanced sadness, anger, happiness all into one series somehow. Besides the ending, this drama will make you feel every emotion in the book while watching it (and at the end make you feel like you died inside btw)
Its a beautiful couple portrayed by 2 extremely talented actors. The story? I ll try not to say too much about it because its very complex and id keep writing about it forever.

I wanna adress the ending a little bit, i ll try not to spoil it too much but judging by how famous this BL series is, you probably already heard of it. Its one of the saddest endings i have ever seen and i found myself trying to get myself to believe that they re lying and that didnt actually happen. I cried so much you dont even know.

With this being said, enjoy watching this series be sure to have tissues next to you at all times!!

The story I will never forget

This is an excellent series and a must watch for anyone who loves good content. The story, acting, direction, music all too good. Specially Wayne, his acting was so on spot and relatable. All the supporting casts, including Wayne's sister played their part very well.
The story is the hero of the series. The final monologue by Wayne was so true and touching. I have lost my sister when she was 18. She has remained at that age and time, did not change. Where as me and everyone else have moved on. I have carried that pain with me wherever I have gone and so does Wayne. Yes as viewers we do not want to be reminded of the harsh reality we face eaveryday. We look for escape in what we watch. But once in a while a realistic vision of what can and does go wrong can be given. This series does that. I do not know if any other series will ever top this one for me. A very well made and acted production. Congratulations to the team!

All in all a enjoyable Show, but not a masterpiece at all.

First of all, i was spoilered about the Fact that this has a tragical ending, i didn’t know what happening in the end but i wasn`t that shocked as when i thougt that this could have a happy ending.

The First Part of my Review will deal with the Episodes 1-18 and in the end i will say something to the last two episodes

There is Light and Shadow here, some parts of the Show are very pleasuring and other parts are boring or annoying.

Here are the positve Parts:
The Story about a High School Rookie who falls in love with a A+Student works well, even it is not that new.
Especially in the beginning, when Xiang Hao tries to court Yu Xi Go and makes his life in this way even worser than better is funny and sad at the same time.
Also the Cast is pleasuring, especially Yu Xi Go who looks like a hungry Puppey suits very well in his Role of a hard working student.
When it come to terms and they get together the chemistry is good and the cute, silly Flirting is a pleasure to watch.
(My Key.Scene is the Dogplay in the Restaurant which was funny and still cute)
Also the second Main couple is nice to watch, but the age gap is implausible. They look not that different for me and the gap between the real actors isn’t that great.
To be mentioned are also the NSFW-Scenes which are very intensive for BL-Series. Only the finale encountering of Xiang Hao and Yu Xi Go was a little bit disappointing.

But it wasn’t all that good, here are the Things that doesn’t work for me:
The Fact that it comes to a „I’m not gay, i love only you.“ Storyline-is one of the mood killer in modern BL-Series for me, C’mon we’ve got 2020!
Except the Boy gang all other support Roles are annoying or unimpressive, especially the Parents and the Ex-Girlfriend of Xiang Hao wasn’t that good.

So all in all it was enjoyable Show, very light and nice but nothing to remember....
but than came it to the last Episodes.

My first Thought was, okay....this was unexpected. I needed some time to see if the ending makes the Show better or worser.
My Opinion: Both!
On the one Hand It’s more memorable in this way and when it comes to another season i’m more courios to see what happened.
On the Other Hand, what was the Screendirector thinking when he made it to this way?!
Did anyone say to him“we need more drama“ and he said „okay fine let’s kill some of our main Characters.“
All in all it doesn’t make sense to end it that way.
If their were more Impact in middle of the Show and less drama in the end, it would be definetely a better show.
But if you like just end it on Episode 18, which also works as a happy end for the series.

This series was good and all, but what ya'll not gonna do is finally have xi gu be happy and all that but in the end kill him off just to make your point on "Making your days count". I get you can't always have a happy ending, that doesn't mean you should kill off someone that just got their happy ending. After living a life focused on studying and working, he finally finds something else that is important to him, but again the writers thought it would be smart to kill him. Besides this though, the series was great, loved the side couple, production value was great, that's also the thing though, the whole story was great which eventually made me obsessed only to have a sad ending. Good series though...I guess

I feel like this is yet another drama where forgetting the ending ever happened greatly improves the entire story.

Here's the thing - I love tragedy. I love something that makes me cry and feel things. Tragedy often shapes people and I think it's important for fiction to reflect that reality - not everything happens the way we want it to.

That being said, I think the LGBTQ community has dealt with enough. Considering gay marriage is legal in Taiwan (and in a lot of places all over the world), I would've rather seen a happy ending come out of this series. Especially because Xiang Hao Ting and Yu Xi Gu fought so hard to be together. I admire Xiang Hao Ting's unwavering love for Yu Xi Gu; his parents didn't accept it and he didn't care. He still fought to be with the man he loved. To have that taken away because of an accident...something about it just doesn't sit right with me. I usually love a tragic ending, but this one I didn't.

The acting in this show is incredible. Xiang before Yu's death is an entirely different person, and I think Wayne Song's acting is unmatched by any other actor in the show. His tears are believable; his anguish is, too. He really brought everything he has to bring Xiang to life for us and for that, I don't think I can give this show less than 7/10. But I think I would've rather seen a happy Xiang to the end. He played Xiang so well - bubbly, carefree, kind. He was like a giant puppy. The duality is respectable, but the entire last episode felt like the ending to another series.

I still have a lot of mixed emotions about it. Enjoying tragic endings doesn't mean all of them get a free pass. This one should've ended so much happier. I knew the ending was coming because I'd been spoiled long before watching it, but it still hit me because the two of them were so pure throughout the whole series. And it was so well written - things didn't move too quickly, and each character had adequate time to let us get to know them.

As for the side couple, I really loved them. I'm glad they got a happier ending at least. Lu Zhi Gang getting to go home meant a lot. I also really like that they're still together and happy. But I felt awful for Xiang when he had to listen to Sun talk about it... I think no matter how much time has passed, it's hard to be happy when someone else is living the life you'd imagined for yourself. No matter if that person is a brother/sister. It can be heartbreaking.

All the same - I'll continue to watch HIStory productions. Their past stories were fantastic and this was no exception. I just think the ending ruined it a little for me. But the casting was perfection and the story itself was great, too. I look forward to whatever they do next.

so i lied ...

I did not watch the final episode and I am not planning to in the immediate future.
I knew something was off from the moment they were all happy in their appartement and there was still one full episode to go.
Then at the end, he needs to go out for salt, he smiles, its slo-mo

Enough said...
I dont want to know the ending, it can end with happily ever after right here thank you very much

I don't know why some writers like tormenting their audiences like this. This went from my favorite HIStory to one I'll never ever complete
