“Trust is like a mirror once broken can't be fixed ever ”
Kim Hee Ae is just amazing in the drama. Literally She portrayed such complex character so flawlessly. And seriously what you can you expect from a
*5 times Baeksang winner*?✨.
She was just outstanding in the drama. Not just her everyone gave awesome performance in the drama.
The drama is written very well. Every character is grey which make these characters so realistic. Sure there's some flaws like it literally feels so lengthy but never so much dragging. There are some things that are very over the top but the jaw dropping twist and turns just makes you totally engaged in the show.
I personally Liked watching it.

Intense rollercoaster of emotions from start to finish
Likes:1. Great performance from the cast especially Joon Young. Poor kid at first i thought he was ungrateful selfish brat but we later realize the trauma he is suffering from and the parents are too angry at each other to realize it. Even til the end for all the talk of protecting him, they were nt able to do so.
2. Powerful scenes that shocked, and terrified me, and sometimes had me yelling expletives while watching the show.
3. Gives an intense look on what happens when a marriage breaks down because of cheating and how different people respond to it. I think the stories are part realistic part over the top.
4. Definitely Tae Oh started this whole mess but i think if Sunwoo had responded more rationally it wouldnt have ended this badly ( but then we wouldnt have this drama to watch)
5. Disnt like Yerim at first but also felt bad for her. I couldnt believe she went back to Je Hyuk but whew!! Sunwoomshould have listened to her from the very start.
Dislikes:
1. Sunwoo had so many chances to break away from Tae oh but she kept coming back to Tae Oh. I think the show should have ended at episode 15.
2. Hated Da Kyung all through out the show because she never once apologized for ruining a family and was even smug about it. She kept looking at Sunwoo like she was the victim and had the nerve to always get angry at her. Didnt feel an ounce of sympathy when her world came crashing down. And why did she get a better ending than Sunwoo?? I guess it is because she made the rational choice of leaving Tae Oh and moving out of Gosan for good.
3. Sunwoo made one bad decision after another but one of the worst is not choosing Dr Kim Yoon Ki!!!
.
Rating: 8.5/10 (rated 9 until middle of ep 15 but had to pull it down after the ending) .

Right from the first episode of this Drama I was hooked. The World of the Married begins, when a seemingly happily married woman Dr Ji Sun Woo begins to find clues of her beloved husband's infidelity. As the story unfolds there more shocking twists and turns. What I loved about this Drama is that so much of what was portrayed is relatable happening i.e Abusive partners, nosey neighbors and work colleagues and over intrusive in-laws.
Di Ji sometimes acted very irrationally, without thinking how it would affect people around her.
Overall I really enjoyed this show and the brilliant acting showcased by the actors.

A great watch!
LIKEThe suspicion, betrayal, lies, manipulation, revenge and fear followed by emotional breakdown, dilemma and suicide.
Finally, the story ended with reflection, letting go, a lot of patience and forgiveness
The first episode left me swearing a lot
What Sun Woo said in front of Tae Oh and Da Kyung's family
When Tae Oh and Sun Woo fought - wow that scene
DISLIKE
What Je Hyuk did and when he changed, Ye Rim was unable to live her life again
The hurt Tae Oh and Sun Woo gave to Joon Young the second time - that was very bad
MUSIC
Not to my liking
REWATCH VALUE
Probably will re-watch if I have the time some day

I get the obsession, but the execution left some things to be desired
This show is captivating. While it took a little while to grab me, once it did, I found it hard to stop watching.I put off watching this one for a while because I knew it was a remake of an English show. The plot line is nothing new: Guy cheats on his wife and refuses to take responsibility for the damage he's done. What made this particular take on this story interesting was the choice to have pretty much every adult on the show be guilty of some moral failing. There's Dr. Ji's "friends" who know of the affair and say nothing. There are her friends, the same ones, that plot against her professionally, as well. There's married men who can't stay faithful and married women that shame the women who refuse to tolerate the infidelity. The only women who come out completely clean in this are Min Hyun-seo and the medical director's wife that was cheated on. Everyone else has wronged someone else in some way, purposefully.
There's the politics of the Women's Association to deal with, as infuriating as that was. There was the drama with Dr. Ji trying to help Hyun-seo. While I didn't care for it, the drama with Joon Young's classmates was also a plot. There was a lot going on, so the show was never boring.
Dr. Ji is one the more interesting female protagonists I've seen in a kdrama and that's largely because I didn't understand a lot of the decisions she's made. I found it frustrating how much she continued to be dragged into Tae Oh's mess, but Hyun-seo's explanation makes the most sense. Dr. Ji just couldn't turn her back on him, no matter how abusive and selfish he was, because she pitied him. It made the character of Dr. Kim so much more confusing to me.
Why have a character that follows her (a bit concerning, btw) and constantly shows up to help her when others hurt her? Nothing comes of that. Even if they'd just remained friends, there wasn't enough shown of that to make it seem like this character was properly utilized. We have Joon Young tell Dr. Ji that she should find someone nice, but apparently that wasn't a set up for her and Dr. Kim? We also drop the plot about Joon Young knowing why his parents fought that day before the restraining order. The handling of Joon Young's character was quite confusing at times.
Anyway, this show is entertaining, somewhat like Penthouse. However, unlike Penthouse, I feel like some of the choices were so baffling it was frustrating to watch at times. The things Dr. Ji and Da Kyung let Tae Oh get away with made me doubt their intelligence. It wasn't always pity, it was delusion.

I am at a loss for words. I feel like I need medication after watching this show. For my avid followers you know I hate starting anything that isn't already finished: books, movies, shows... ya know. But I have to admit, I'm not sure what it was about this show that sucked me in. When the first episode aired I was like "eh", not even sure how I landed on it or why I stayed on it instead of going to something else. I mean, I'm glad I didn't. The show turned out pretty well..... maybe just not for my sanity.
I have never followed a show so freaking close before and I used to shake my head at those who were always like "I have to be home at such-and-such time because I CAN'T miss my show!!" ..... That ended up being me. So, my apologies. LOL! Y'all have no idea how bad I wanted to do episode by episode reviews but I knew if I did that each episode review wouldn't have much except "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!?!" Don't get me wrong, this show ENDED with me screaming "What the hell was that?!"
Y'all know how Parasite won tons of awards? I wouldn't be shocked if 부부의 세계 won awards. I say this with full confidence because as I followed this show, I also followed news about it and I can honestly say these actors played their parts WAY to well. Lol From one actor getting death threats to one actress being called a whore, slut, homewrecker. You name it. Mind you, these people aren't calling the characters this - they are calling the actors themselves this. Which is so mind blowing to me. But, you know, I can't say anything because ... this show did ruin some actors for me. Lol even ones that I really loved before from previous shows. It's like when I see them, I'll always remember this show instead. Which sucks but is awesome at the same time because that just shows how good of actors they all are. If you can make people who are watching A SCREEN - forget that it is literally just a show, that is bad ass to me. But I also feel bad for the ones having to go through all of this mess right now. Hopefully people will stop and remember "this is just a show."
The storyline is so freaking basic too! I had someone ask me what this show was about and it kinda shook me because of how basic the ACTUAL storyline is but has so much (I really don't know what word I am looking for right now so PLEASE forgive me.) but there is just something there that makes it so much more in depth that it's like it reaches out and grabs you by the head and is like "lol you aren't going anywhere" even when there are times that commercials come on, you don't dare move because you don't want to miss anything.
I have screamed so much watching this show that it is almost embarrassing to admit. I can't remember the last time I was ever actually that angry and wanting justice. I also found myself unbothered by near deaths of some characters. Which is sad and kinda scary. So why am I putting this? Because if anyone reads this before or after the show and they feel that, they'll know they aren't alone. Helps to know you're not the only one.
Of all the characters, can I just put it out there that there is really only ONE likeable character? Go Ye-rim (박선영/Park Sun-young). If you really think about it, she is literally the ONLY innocent character. The one who was done so dirty and STILL maintained being the pure one. She didn't deserve what happened to her one bit and it freaking broke my heart into a million pieces.
As for the rest of the characters, they can kiss my ass. Do you know that by the end of this show I think the one character that annoyed me the most was their son Lee Joon-young (전진서/Jeon Jinseo)
**Side note here, 전진서 is literally just a kid and already under fire because of something he posted online LIKE ANY NORMAL KID WOULD DO!!! Also under fire that he was "smoking and drinking".... he kid is 13/15. Are.... are you kidding me? For one, I'm sure that is total bullshit and even if it's not, while I don't support that - do people not remember what it was like being a teenager? Holy hell teen years are so unnecessary Lol why must ANY of us have to go through that mess? So what I say is his CHARACTER, not him as a person**
When I say he was the most annoying, I do realize he was just a teenager. I remember what it was like. It was hell. You're trying to sort through your own mess, Lord knows what it does to someone to have to deal with being a yo-yo for adults to fight over. Its messed up. BUT... there were some parts in this show where all he really needed to do was sit the hell down and let the grownups do their thing.. but he decided to be a little asshole and cause MORE drama, even though it could have been handled quickly. And the sassing his mama all the time made me mad as hell. My mama would whoop my butt if I did half of what he did. Lol Close to the end I really started liking him again though... Only for it to end with me wanting to throttle him. DUDE! How can you do that to your mom?! I know you're upset, but did you have to do that?! FOR THAT LONG?! What... just.... UGH!!!! WHAT THE HELL?!?!
Don't get me wrong, I hate dang near all the characters. But the show was so good. Yet.... made me feel like I needed a xanax or something to just calm the hell down (I don't mean that in getting high, I mean like actually calming anxiety down medical meaning) I would still recommend this show. HAHA!! I don't know! OMG I don't know why I like it so much. It's like a freaking train wreck that you just can't look away from! All I can say is if you start if, I really hope you don't plan on sleeping anytime soon because you WILL get invested in it. I really hope you do. Even if the ending was anticlimactic. I feel like it could have ended so much better. It just built and built and built, it was driving me insane and then they just offered that little tibbit and I was sitting there looking at the screen like "oh hell no. That's all!?" so yeah, prepare for that Lol
I'm sure there is so much more I could talk about - but I feel like if I don't stop now, I really will keep going. Like for the friend that asked "What is it about?" I could have left it at "Cheating ass men and the women who fight like hell to keep their family together" but nooooo I had to keep going. Pretty sure I went on so long that they were probably thinking "I'm sorry I asked. Please shut up now." XD
Which I'm sure my readers are thinking the same. Lol But if you happen to watch this show, please let me know what you think!!
**Also, yes I know this is based off of Dr Foster, no I don't plan on watching that one. I think this one was enough for me. Lol**

The World of the Married is a train-wreck that you can't look away from. A show all about how society views women in all aspects, especially divorced women, and how far a woman will go to protect her life, family, and pride. How much does one have to give until they are fully loved? Some men cheat and once a cheater, always a cheater.A lot of characters in this show are not likable at all. The only person I found rooting for was Ji Sun Woo, who is played by the incredible Kim Hee Ae. She does a fantastic job of portraying all the emotions of a woman who had been betrayed. She gave her life, money, and love to a man who discarded her and she will do anything to keep his choices from ruining her and her son's life. I only found myself drawn to 2 other characters: Go Ye Rim and Min Hyun So. I felt that they were some of the most real characters in an ocean of sharks that are out to backstab, lie, and do anything to ruin each other.
Most of the episodes and most of the plot will have your blood-boiling and screaming at most of the characters. They are selfish, fake, and will do anything for themselves which kept most of my interest. They will do anything to get ahead of you, even if that means tearing you down while you're already at your worst. Set in a town where everyone knows everyone, it's easy for your business to spread like wildfire amongst the high class.
The one complaint I did have with the show is I felt a lot of the moments drug on a little too long for the effect or just to fill in the space of the episode and I found myself skipping a lot to get to the dialogue. Towards the middle of the show, it gets a little predictable and towards the end I felt that it had went on too far. The whole last episode was making up for time missed and you get the actual plot for not even the last half.
It's dramatic and nobody comes out unharmed in any way. They all hurt each other in wild ways all while calling each other "friends."

TWOTM
Actually wasn't my intention to start this, but because it was causing such a buzz, i decided to start on Episode 1 and boy i was hooked. The story itself is very fast paced, and totally unpredictable? Every episode was packed with information and even greater plot twists. The actors in this drama was very talented, and the filming and music directing was done perfectly to draw viewers into the world. I personally liked that the drama didn't follow the English counterpart ending because i would have been so angry if that happened!!
Definitely a drama worth watching but ok i do agree there are some parts that are abit makjang. But still it was overall enjoyable :) it's worth the hype imo

can we forgive a good father but a bad husband?
The world of the married is as makjang as it gets full of love, obsession, and revenge. it stars Kim Hee Ae, Park Hae Joon, and Han So Hee. Fun fact Kim Hee Ae won best actress in the star studded best actress on television in the 56th Baeksang Arts Awards. We follow a picture perfect family who has everything they could ever want and living the dream life but a cheating husband turns everything around. The show was captivating and had my heart pumped out throughout, like seriously. We get the reveal at episode 1 if that doesn't hype you up, I do not know what will. it tried to push the limit, maybe even too much. I have quite the conflicting feelings and thoughts about this drama, so let's start the review.
The Good
Screenplay
props for the writers this was for me the best part, it was what made emotional scenes more impactful and at times needed to replay and pause to gather myself.
Acting
Kim Hee Ae showed everyone why she's a veteran actress. she showed the nuances and conflicting thoughts of Sun Woo without being too exaggerated. furthermore we saw the stages of a divorce through her eyes, I'd think no other one could have played the character as well. Park Hae Joon first lead role is surely memorable. Tae Oh the husband that is boastful, cannot be contented, think's too highly of himself, and overall a bad husband. Han So Hee was a breakout start after this, deserved. Da Kyung was not the typical evil family breaker, I actually thought besides that she was a great person. furthermore she loved her parents and was kind to others however actually manipulative. we see this later on, how good she is with words in a bad way.
Music
I loved the soundtrack for this drama, it was a perfect balance between thrill and calm. it enhanced the experience while watching and made it more gripping, however some we're too overused. I heard songs that we're great that was played like 2 to 3 times and this one song that plays like 5 times each episode, which gets irritating. other than that I would have given the music a 10.
Story/Plot
We have seen sooo much cheating partner drama's throughout the years, specially in the kdramaland. which explains the low ratings at first, because it felt like another typical watch. but what saved that from going down that road was the plot and how things we're executed.
Cinematography
it was shot well and utilized techniques that let's us envision and live like the crumbling world of our main character. furthermore it got me emotionally and physically attached to some characters.
Premise
it was tackled well, it was trying to tell us that the decisions we make, creates our future. to add that is not forgetting the one's that love you the most.
Social Issues
this was a key point of the series, it made the show a realistic one and something we all can learn from.
some that are mentioned is as follows:
-gender inequality
-prejudice to single moms
-pressure to stay fit
-marriage and divorce(how it affects the casualties)
Favorite Scene
it has to be from Da Kyung accusing Jun Yeong to Jun Yeong eventually hugging his mom. I felt soooo much emotions in this scene. disappointment, shock, sad, angry, happy, etc. it reveals the true nature of Da Kyung and gives Jun Yeong a realization that the only one that truly loved him, was his mom. contradicting my title, it was also a realization to me that TAEOH WAS NOT A GOOD FATHER. but honestly that came out of nowhere, since tae oh was becoming likeable and regretful the past few episodes but I guess the show wanted him to be the main antagonist. Jun Yeong was the biggest casualty and the only character I was emotionally Invested in this series, the others had me not caring for them after latter episodes.
Ending
I was dumbfounded by the ending, it was unexpected. furthermore I wasn't sure where to put it but decided I wanted to put it here in the good parts. I was expecting a murder suicide, Da Kyung and Tae oh staying together or even Sun Woo taking Tae Oh back, but that is where I am wrong. this drama took a different approach for bad or good, an open ended one. if thinking too highly of yourself and ego is what sparked our drama the conclusion should be thinking lightly of yourself and humility.
The Bad
the Da Kyung and Jun Yeong scenes
this had too much scenes in the last episodes which leads me to my next problem, but more on that later. any interactions with them were so uncomfortable and unwatchable, like why were there so many? Jun Yeong literally is either just standing/sitting while Da Kyung endlessly talks, and at best he answers with a "yes" and that's it which is frustrating watching over and over and over. if it wanted to make us feel the struggles of Jun Yeong then okay but it had me off the show in a lot of times.
Progression
if only we had proper progression, this would have been perfect already, then we could have avoided 1 and any other filler scenes. the series could either have been shorter or build the plot better. Ep1 reveal is only best if you can keep the same intensity throughout, however it does not. it became so slow in the end and tried forcing so much not needed scenes and characters that does not even get a proper ending.
************************************************************************************************************************
Overall
this is a must watch if you like revenge driven dramas. just when you think you know what is gonna happen, it turns the tables around and gives you a massive plot twist. furthermore it tackles and shows social messages exaggerately but that can still apply in real life, however this is a dark series and a lack of someone to support can be too much to some.

WAIT A MINUTE! WOW!
I just finished watching episode 1, and I literally have one word for it ----> WOW! If you are interested in watching an action full melodrama full of twist and turns from beginning to end, you should definitely watch this. After the first 40 minutes of episode 1, the story picks up rather quickly. One of the two con that I have is the behavior of the female and male lead, son! If I were 15 and I saw my father cheat on my mother, I would try to consider and protect my mother feelings (the victim). Instead it seemed like the son was only trying to protect his father, the cheater! Something is weird about episode 6, while the acting is good, it seems as if something is missing (like things escalated quickly without giving us an explanation). I also thought that the end of episode 6 was too dramatic, and the music didn't help. Two years passed by, what did she think would happen? Duh, marriage, delivery of the baby, and stability for their new family. The end of episode 12 is not realistic because of the words, not the actions. The second con, is the lack of accountability that the second female lead had (the one who slept with a married man).
This drama could have had 13 episodes, instead of 16.

Watch this drama why...because you won't regret it
I've watched this drama since it had come out but I didn't get to do a review on it so here's my thoughts on this drama.I was very skeptical at first to watch this drama when it had first made my presents.
Then I gave it a try because many thought it was a great series so I did too.
Turns out this is a very interesting drama to watch.Every second you watch it the more you want to know. It's a very eye opening as well.I couldn't sleep for days because all I could think about is what will happen next.
I was very annoyed at times ,and angry. This is the very first drama I've ever watched that was this intense for a very real life/world experience .Most times i wanted to punch the screen and other times I was sitting there with a grin on my face smiling. It was new and loved it.I'm sure you'll love it too if you watch it.I was very much satisfied with the ending.Overall if you're looking for a drama not like the others with a strong female lead that will do anything to get what she wants ,a male lead who is not such a gentleman as he is suppose to be then this is definitely the drama for you.No spoilers in this review but all I can say is watch this drama and if you like it then I will recommend other ones as this one.

Never believed that a show can affect my daily life negatively
I have quite the diverse taste in shows, this one was so highly recommended, but sadly, apart from the excellent acting, it was just a combination of everything I cannot sit through. I pushed through for a few episodes, wanting to see what must be the reason behind so many people liking it. None for me.All I got from this show was a spike in anxiety and negativity in my own life, thanks to the irritating, constant suspense music, the unrealistic bouquet of back-to-back moments of injustice and 0, absolutely 0 (at least semi-)adequate communication from (again) at least one or two characters in the whole show.
I wouldn't mind watching a story that is more of a psychological thriller, but the world-building simply isn't believable if it's not balanced out with some humane, lighter sides of the characters. A world with such an unhealthy communication amongst ALL 15 or more characters simply seems impossible to exist to this extent. For this reason it felt more fantasy-like than Star Wars. And on top of that, the low vibes of it, slithered into my daily life.
Dropping it gladly.
