An imperfect drama, Making it perfect.

Ah yes, a JTBC drama again. You know it's great quality, and with the casting? Make sure you're in for a ride.

For the story, it's an average plot at least for me. People might even find it below average but it's not bad. It's slow paced yes, some viewers might find it annoying (considering the episodes to be roughly 90 minutes each) but I don't think it was a hindrance to the drama overall.

BUT the scriptwriting was actually really good. It delivers and does the story somewhat a raise.

The acting was the highlight of the drama. Everyone delivers and carries the drama, especially Kim Hee ae who won an award in this drama. Her acting was just to convincing and on point that you actually feel the emotion she feels! She and the other casts even just a supporting role truly did the script justice.

Special mention to Jeon Jin so for slaying Lee Joonyoung's role. Trust me he deserved to be nominated along with Park Haejoon for a Baeksang.

The OST's and the the BGM are really great too! I really love them. Especially Lonely Sailing and Finale. They suit the drama and moods alot. Suspence, sadness, it's all there.

The rewatch value tho, it's not really something you wanna watch again. It's not because its bad it's because— you'll see for yourself.

Overall, I tried to give a both positive and negative view of this drama. I really recommend this, it doesn't just talk about affairs. It talks about what can happen, what the outcome of their actions is. It's a heck of a drama, and that's what's makes it perfect.

BRUTAL VISERAL HONEST

Maybe I reacted to this drama in such an emotional way because our world is on fire right now. But, even if that was a factor this drama was beyond emotional & as a divorced person I could relate to the brutality that comes from being cheated on, used & ultimately cast aside. This drama correctly depicts that no one person comes out innocent no matter who is the cheater. It showed adults at their absolute worst, funny as per usual the children paid the price & the children were the only voice of reason in the drama. It was surreal to see the women make the meals, keep the house & raise the children mostly on their own again so relatable. I would suggest every married person no matter what gender or sexuality watch this drama it should be watched before anyone reacts to the ending of a marriage. It will stay with me for a very long time, no need to re-watch I won't ever forget it. The actors all did their job & I hope they were paid very well.

TLDR: Give it a shot, I think it's definitely worth watching.

From the first episode, I knew I was hooked. It has been so long since I've watched a drama that left me absolutely infuriated and agape at the actions of the characters. I remember multiple occasions where I shot up in bed screaming at my television. With so many predictable drama's these days, the world of the married is refreshingly (albeit dark) unpredictable. I think the unpredictability comes by making each character as "human" and relatable as possible. We as humans make so many different decisions over the course of our lives, and I bet that even the best of us have made bad ones. But as humans we learn and we grow. Ultimately, I think that's what I took away from this drama. I will admit the ending left me a little disappointed. I had hoped for more loose ends to be tied, but I suppose true to the nature of human life, not everything can ever be wrapped neatly in a bow. Life still moves on, and we just continue to live and learn. Long story short, I recommend this drama. Even as someone who is typically a rom-com addict, this one was a good watch.

good storyline

I have never ever seen a boy as dumb as Sun-Woo''s and Tae-Oh's boy Joon-Young? Apart from this, kdrama is worth the watch!?? this drama shows what most married couples experience in real life with cheating and break ups...this drama is heartbreaking, sad but too good that I could not predict what would happen in the next episode and just kept on wanting more.....
Those who are thinking this is typical husband wife fight drama, I think you are mistaken. There's more to this drama.
The friendships were also interesting, there was betrayal there too. Such a riveting drama that I couldn't stop watching. It is definitely a must see.

Loved hating this

Watching this drama made my blood boil. I guess that was the whole reason of this drama was to despise Lee Tae Oh and I wholeheartedly did. Seeing the rollercoaster that was the divorce unfold in this and the many obstacles that Ji Sun Woo had to overcome just to keep her son infuriated me. This drama was very good in its story and the cast were extremely good at keeping you hooked on the storyline.
If there was a fault to this it would be that I would have liked to see some of the side characters storyline come to an end, as there are sooo many questions i have that are left unanswered.
Park Hae Joon does an amazing job at making you want to hate his character and even though Han So Hee is supposedly the bad guy, she makes you feel guilty for hating her characters and the struggles she goes through.
It is a hard drama to watch sometimes but it is a nice break from all the lovey dovey dramas I have been watching recently.
If you are ready to cry your heart out and it to leave you aching, this is for you.

Ok, so this is going to be my first review since I loved it so much. I didn't get bored even for a second throughout the drama because it was so much interesting and the acting is soo good to bring tears in emotional scenes. its a combination of a lot of emotions sadness, loneliness, happiness, feeling of betrayal, anger, I felt everything when I watched it. The ending is satisfying since that's what Tae Oh deserves and that ending makes us believe that the situation is obvious in real life because if they get together and gives a happy ending, it becomes an unreal situation cuz its hard for anyone to forgive at any point if anything like that happens in real life. I highly recommend this for any k drama fan and the drama deserved those ratings.

After all the drama plots I have seen (from many countries) I was very curious about this show that kept receiving the highest ratings of any Korean drama. I was glad I waited until the final show aired because it was so intense that I quickly binged it in two days.

I think the part that makes it stand out the most is the fact that after every show kept having more and more unbelievable endings /cliffhangers the NEXT show would top it again! They were not always the usual drama plots used by most screenwriters. Much of the show addressed the stereotypes and the beautiful aspects of marriage. I think the surprise was the honest way it dealt with the possible toxic aspect of breakups and betrayals.

The ONLY aspect of this show that did bother me was the way that the FL, an accomplished physician with a great reputation and well thought of by her peers, slowly sinks into a more desperate and single minded version of herself.

Each couple in the show displays various aspects of male /female expectations and miscommunications. They each offer various lessons on why it's important to be honest and upfront in a relationship vs. making assumptions and reading situations incorrectly.

I think the only person I truly felt sorry for is the psychiatrist that takes an interest in the FL and was the only example of an emotionally healthy adult who kept showing up intentionally and randomly and saving the day. He is one of the main reasons that would make watching a second season worthwhile.

TWOTM definitely is over the top and other articles have mentioned that certain episodes may trigger individuals with past psychiatric /abusive relationship/stalker/trauma issues. I can see how some scenes DEFINITELY could negatively affect someone that experienced any of those. Please be careful if you think this could be you.

Just yesterday this show received various nominations for the quality and abundance of great acting and production value. If you want to experience one of the wildest emotional rides ever watch this great adult drama.

The drama you will see the selfishness, greediness, ambitious, unfaithfulness, unrespectful, infidelity everything the craziest thing you ever want.
The world of the married it was a scary world, I could not imagine living of this kind of world full of craziness and psychological battle of immaturity specially on the character "Tae Oh" the husband being unfaithful to his wife. The wife (Sun Wo) I don't know if she was being selfish to his son just to gain the revenge for her husband using the son. For both husband and wife they creating a world of selfishness, greediness, revenge to each other. Honestly, in divorce no one who's the winner because the most thing affected is the children. This is what happen to the son (Joon Young), battle of parents it just like a Ping pong ball. Joon Young was confused everything what he see don't know if it is right or wrong.

Honestly, I seen so many drama same plot story this the most craziness, tiring, excitement to watch. I admit I was tired because my tears could not hold on especially everytime the son was the most affected. He blamed his self on the failure on the divorce of his parents. Never ending fighting, revenge on each other. If I put myself on the world they have I don't know If I could still breath on this kind of life. No remorse on each other, revenge is not best way of fighting of what you are holding on for your right. The love has been faded on the decision to both couple.

Forgiveness doesn't mean your failure, does not mean you are defeated on the battle. Its was a stressful life. It was a Psychology battle...never ending story.

It was worth it to watch so many moral values to think. If this is life that I want just to win the battle. In this drama no one has to win. Marriage its a respect, faithful, loyalty, vow , forgiveness and love.

“Trust is like a mirror once broken can't be fixed ever ”

Kim Hee Ae is just amazing in the drama. Literally She portrayed such complex character so flawlessly. And seriously what you can you expect from a

*5 times Baeksang winner*?✨.

She was just outstanding in the drama. Not just her everyone gave awesome performance in the drama.

The drama is written very well. Every character is grey which make these characters so realistic. Sure there's some flaws like it literally feels so lengthy but never so much dragging. There are some things that are very over the top but the jaw dropping twist and turns just makes you totally engaged in the show.

I personally Liked watching it.

Intense rollercoaster of emotions from start to finish

Likes:
1. Great performance from the cast especially Joon Young. Poor kid at first i thought he was ungrateful selfish brat but we later realize the trauma he is suffering from and the parents are too angry at each other to realize it. Even til the end for all the talk of protecting him, they were nt able to do so.
2. Powerful scenes that shocked, and terrified me, and sometimes had me yelling expletives while watching the show.
3. Gives an intense look on what happens when a marriage breaks down because of cheating and how different people respond to it. I think the stories are part realistic part over the top.
4. Definitely Tae Oh started this whole mess but i think if Sunwoo had responded more rationally it wouldnt have ended this badly ( but then we wouldnt have this drama to watch)
5. Disnt like Yerim at first but also felt bad for her. I couldnt believe she went back to Je Hyuk but whew!! Sunwoomshould have listened to her from the very start.

Dislikes:
1. Sunwoo had so many chances to break away from Tae oh but she kept coming back to Tae Oh. I think the show should have ended at episode 15.
2. Hated Da Kyung all through out the show because she never once apologized for ruining a family and was even smug about it. She kept looking at Sunwoo like she was the victim and had the nerve to always get angry at her. Didnt feel an ounce of sympathy when her world came crashing down. And why did she get a better ending than Sunwoo?? I guess it is because she made the rational choice of leaving Tae Oh and moving out of Gosan for good.
3. Sunwoo made one bad decision after another but one of the worst is not choosing Dr Kim Yoon Ki!!!
.
Rating: 8.5/10 (rated 9 until middle of ep 15 but had to pull it down after the ending) .

Right from the first episode of this Drama I was hooked. The World of the Married begins, when a seemingly happily married woman Dr Ji Sun Woo begins to find clues of her beloved husband's infidelity. As the story unfolds there more shocking twists and turns.

What I loved about this Drama is that so much of what was portrayed is relatable happening i.e Abusive partners, nosey neighbors and work colleagues and over intrusive in-laws.

Di Ji sometimes acted very irrationally, without thinking how it would affect people around her.

Overall I really enjoyed this show and the brilliant acting showcased by the actors.

I get the obsession, but the execution left some things to be desired

This show is captivating. While it took a little while to grab me, once it did, I found it hard to stop watching.

I put off watching this one for a while because I knew it was a remake of an English show. The plot line is nothing new: Guy cheats on his wife and refuses to take responsibility for the damage he's done. What made this particular take on this story interesting was the choice to have pretty much every adult on the show be guilty of some moral failing. There's Dr. Ji's "friends" who know of the affair and say nothing. There are her friends, the same ones, that plot against her professionally, as well. There's married men who can't stay faithful and married women that shame the women who refuse to tolerate the infidelity. The only women who come out completely clean in this are Min Hyun-seo and the medical director's wife that was cheated on. Everyone else has wronged someone else in some way, purposefully.

There's the politics of the Women's Association to deal with, as infuriating as that was. There was the drama with Dr. Ji trying to help Hyun-seo. While I didn't care for it, the drama with Joon Young's classmates was also a plot. There was a lot going on, so the show was never boring.

Dr. Ji is one the more interesting female protagonists I've seen in a kdrama and that's largely because I didn't understand a lot of the decisions she's made. I found it frustrating how much she continued to be dragged into Tae Oh's mess, but Hyun-seo's explanation makes the most sense. Dr. Ji just couldn't turn her back on him, no matter how abusive and selfish he was, because she pitied him. It made the character of Dr. Kim so much more confusing to me.

Why have a character that follows her (a bit concerning, btw) and constantly shows up to help her when others hurt her? Nothing comes of that. Even if they'd just remained friends, there wasn't enough shown of that to make it seem like this character was properly utilized. We have Joon Young tell Dr. Ji that she should find someone nice, but apparently that wasn't a set up for her and Dr. Kim? We also drop the plot about Joon Young knowing why his parents fought that day before the restraining order. The handling of Joon Young's character was quite confusing at times.

Anyway, this show is entertaining, somewhat like Penthouse. However, unlike Penthouse, I feel like some of the choices were so baffling it was frustrating to watch at times. The things Dr. Ji and Da Kyung let Tae Oh get away with made me doubt their intelligence. It wasn't always pity, it was delusion.
