This is a heartwarming story about a city girl who goes to the country. While adjusting to the country, she having too deal with a stubborn teacher, her annoying mother, an old crush and her grandfather. It was an amazing storyline, the music was great, songs that i knew aswell as a heartwarming storyline to go with it. I found that the ending was just what you would hope for in any korean t-show. It warms your heart and makes you cry. If your into romantic ever afters then this is defently something for you.

I've seen lots of dramas but this has to be my all time fav. Its defently worth watching and rewatching. Nothing like a warm heartfelt drama. You would almost think its real. Something all us girls dream bout. Im so so envious of her -sigh-

The Quickie: There are dramas that make you want to eat ramen or drink beer. This drama made me crave grapes and watermelon. It's the warm and fuzzy type. No complicated storyline. No craziness. Some would say boring but I liked the characters enough to go all the way. If I were to describe this drama in one word it would be this: cozy.

Everyone and their dog knows who the actress Yoon Eun Hye is. Usually, I love her. She has a vulnerability and depth that most actresses have trouble showing on screen. In this drama she plays a (spoiled) city girl Lee Ji Hyun whom I did NOT like. Lee Ji Hyun ends up loosing everything in one day. Once a clothing designer, now an unwilling farm worker. Her last few days in Seoul are the beginning of her turbulent relationship with Jang Taek Gi (played by lesser known actor Oh Man Suk). Because of her accusations Jang Taek Gi lands in jail for the night. The two reunite on the vineyard Lee Ji Hyun has to spend the year working. Guess who her teacher is?

The two characters are typical. Lee Ji Hyun is the city girl who doesn't know the first thing about working the land or the rewards of a simpler life. She just wants some coffee and sleep. Beneath all that laziness is a compassionate person. Or so we are told.

Jang Taek Gi is the hardworking, quietly affectionate rural man with a surprising layer underneath all the dirt. He creeps into your heart slowly. Their love is a slow burn. Something that builds slowly and steadily throughout the grape harvest. Too bad she's dating the second male lead (Kim Gyung Min played by Kim Gyung Min).

The story is Lee Ji Hyun's. We watch as she struggles to make her family happy, keep her dreams alive, and find love. Is love with the doctor and a secure future or with the infuriating but sweet friend working the vineyard with her? I liked that before they were lovers, they were friends. Awkward friends, but friends nonetheless.

This drama was free of drama, instead trucking along like life does. The acting is excellent. The supporting cast just as important as the main characters. The village's dynamic is like a family. They did a wonderful job of making life at the vineyard come alive on the screen. It's a character driven performance that is best viewed when you feel like falling in love slowly with lots of laughs along the way.

This drama evokes the same feeling of wrapping up in a cozy blanket with some hot chocolate. It has a wonderfully sweet, fluffy aura about it that I don't recall in very many dramas, and I loved it.

The story is not too complicated-- city girl moves to farm for whatever reason, clashes with country boy at first but then learns to run a vineyard and they fall in love. However, the atmosphere really was so sweet and peaceful for the most part-- some might say it was boring, but I found it relaxing, and it allowed for more focus on character moments and developments.

Which, by the way, were very well played by the leads. Both YEH and OMS were excellent in their roles. YEH could be slightly annoying at times, but in a way that I found relatable -- I think most people would get a little whiny if they suddenly had to spend their entire day out working in a hot vineyard, right? And most of the time, I found her to be quite sweet and cute. OMS was just perfect in this role-- right on the nose as a low key, nice guy who is adorably earnest and hardworking. I totally fell for him in this role :) The supporting cast was nice, too, in the sense that it really felt like the entire village was a family. The other two leads were a bit annoying at times, but they were nowhere near as bad as many dramas.

The music was fun at times ( I think mid-2000s dramas have a very distinctive music style) and some of the songs were very pretty, which added to the peaceful, romantic feel of the drama.

I don't hardly EVER rematch dramas because I find that the annoying parts ( obnoxious second leads, stupids cliches or plot devices, etc) outweigh the cute moments. However, this drama was really light on those annoying bits, and heavy on the sweet, so I will likely watch this again someday.

I really recommend this drama if you like cute, sweet romances and are looking for a more relaxed drama! It was really very lovely, and I hope you won't be disappointed.

A friend of mine recently said that sometimes a drama can just creep up on you. Never has that been more true than with The Vineyard Man. I struggled so much trying to watch this drama, I dropped it twice without being able to get through the first episode. I honestly couldn't imagine that I would ever enjoy it, even as I was watching it. But as with Secret Garden, I am so glad I was willing to give this show a third chance.

This show is far from perfect, some episodes drag, and they definitely took their sweet time advancing the romantic story line. They spent way WAY too much time on the love triangle aspect of the show. As you get into the second half, it's like they just can't stop beating the dead horse as they tried too hard to extract every bit of drama and frustration that a love triangle can bring.

The characters were all pretty phenomenal, especially Jang Taek Gi. Seriously, he may have taken the spot as my number one drama hero fantasy boyfriend :p He was so incredibly sweet and caring, even if he could be dense at times. Lee Ji Hyun was so stinking irritating in the first 8 or 9 episodes, she is what made this drama so hard to get through! She was just a spoiled brat, and I hated listening to her whine. I know that that was the point, she is supposed to undergo a transformation, but she was just so unlikable in the beginning, it was grating. The secondary characters were a joy to watch, too. The villagers were all funny, I especially loved Taek Gi's best friend. His voice cracked me up. The only character I wasn't too fond of was the granduncle, which is weird because I have loved that actor in everything else I have seen him in.

I, of course, don't want to get too spoilery, but I will say the last episode was the best of the whole series, hands down. There wasn't too much romance by way of kissing or any other kind of PDA, but there was plenty of sweet scenes to keep you going :)

Bottom line, there are some things I would have changed, but all in all this was well worth the effort of slogging through the parts that dragged on. If you find yourself getting bored in the first few episodes, I would really recommend reading some recaps to get you through them. If you are looking for something fun, sweet, and pretty funny then this is what you are looking for! If you can make it through the boring, you will definitely be rewarded by the sweet and irresistible!

I wasn’t originally interested in watching this just because the farming theme really wasn’t appealing. And although I like Eun Hye Unni I also didn’t know who the male lead was so I didn’t bother with it, that is until I saw Whats Up and got introduced to Oh Man Suk…

Story: The first couple episodes were really funny but once they do get to the vineyard, it kind of becomes repetitive because all they do is fight while learning to farm on the vineyard. I would have also liked to see a bit more romantic development earlier on instead of their whole relationship being squished into the last episode. I will say that it did have one of the best endings ive seen that will surely make anyone leave the drama with a smile.

Acting/Cast: If you never heard of Oh Man Suk (watch Whats Up! Now) don’t not give this a try like I did for a while. He is an underrated actor. I loved his pairing with Eun Hye(who everyone knows is a great actress). They had the perfect chemistry and they were just too cute together especially at the end. As for supporting, I really didn’t notice them.

Music: I liked it for the drama, very funky and hip for that time.

Rewatch: I wasn’t that into the story so I probably wont be watching this again but I think some people might want to.

Overall this is a light must watch for the OTP.

Slapstick comedy! Light. Romantic. Innocent. Warm-fuzzy feeling.

The Vineyard Man is the drama that I watched right after Crash Landing On You, that makes this a big thing. While the cinematography, acting, and video quality was nowhere to be compared to the phenomenal CLOY, this drama has its own charms.

Reasons to watch:
• If you want to laugh out loud!
• If you are in for a cozy and feel good romcom
• If you want to get away from the Seoul setting and want to go something natural and organic
• If you hate Cho Cheol Gang in CLOY! He's the best thing in this drama. Yes, he's playing the male lead and he's charming.
• Nice songs!
• Oh Man Seok (you might fall in love with this provincial farm boy after this)
• If you are looking for a drama that will satisfy your HAPPY ENDING imagination.

Things to consider:
• If you hate love triangles to the core, then, this will irritate you. However, despite those scenes, the romance and friendship of the two leads remain something that I root for until the end.
• If you are looking for a mature love story with strong themes, this is not it. It has its shared of deep content, but the inner conflict of the characters are presented in a humorous manner.
• The female lead is the typical female lead that is subject to hate by some kdrama viewers, but, her character will grow and it's one of the drama's main message.
• If you are no fan of slapstick comedy.
• The acting and directing is not its best especially of the supporting male lead. But, note that this drama is created with 2006 and actors are still new. Despite them being not that good in today's standards, Oh Man Seok was charming, so did, Yoon Eun Hye and the village people.

So, that's it. I hope that you will try The Vineyard Man because it was unique and charming on its own, especially if you are a fan of romcom.

Where to watch? Dramacool.

i really liked .. but
what i dislike the fashion at this time LOL
this was really amusing heartwarming and fluffy

it's about how u can develop your character well if you got the right chance with the right person
and what caught my attention the most was the smooth natural development for their feelings
was really realistic and nice

but as usual the end was really weak
and the writer skipped many things didn't explain

i kind of liking the songs in this drama somehow it reminds me with nice memories
