Okay, I really really liked this drama from the very beginning, but DAYUM! What a horrible ending. I am so freaking disappointed!!! I expected a much better ending. Heck that wasn't even an ending at all. What the heck happened? It felt like it was rushed. They drama was going so well but the ending just totally ruined the whole thing. *sigh*

As many others, I was excited to watch this drama since it was Gong Yoo's return to the drama scene and I'm also a big fan of Lee Min Jung. Unfortunately though, Big didn't live up to its hype. I honestly felt a bit disappointed, especially with the ending. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the drama, but it could've been way better than what it actually was.

The story itself started off really well. It was entertaining, it kept me interested in the relationships between Gil Da Ran, Kang Kyung Joon, and the mysterious Seo Yoon Jae, and it was really funny as well with much thanks to Baek Sung Hyun. But as the story progressed, I felt that it started to lose its way as there were many filler scenes that could've been used for more plot or character development. They also kept going back and forth with the "to love or not to love" dilemma between the main characters which made the story drag a bit. Although this is common for romantic dramas, this case was pretty excessive and became a repetitive occurrence which started to get old after awhile.

The cast lineup was great. For having a script with a story that somewhat lost its way, Gong Yoo and Lee Min Jung played their parts perfectly. Baek Sung Hyun also shined in his role as Da Ran's brother. He's actually one of the reasons I kept watching this drama since he always provided epic comic relief to all the drama going on. As for Shin Won Ho, despite being one of the main characters in the story, he barely got a chance to act at all, so if you're going to watch this because of him, I'd either pass on this one or just watch the first few episodes. In the time he was actually shown, he was great. If he had more opportunities to act in this drama, it probably would've been way more entertaining. And lastly, Suzy. I'm a fan of hers, but her acting wasn't noteworthy nor was it horrible either.

As for it's rewatch value, I doubt I'd watch it again. If I did though, I'd probably only watch the first few episodes because that was the best part in my opinion. The last two episodes were pretty disappointing and the end itself wasn't great either. It wasn't the worst I've seen, but it definitely left me wondering what the heck happened. There were many questions left unanswered because they decided to resolve the hyped climax within the last 10 minutes of the final episode. Why they didn't make better use of the last two episodes [or even more] for better closure to the story is beyond me. They had so many opportunities to make this story shine, but instead they let it run out of steam right midway into the drama.

I'd only recommend this if you have nothing else to watch. There are definitely some cute and hilarious moments that I enjoyed though and the chemistry between Gong Yoo and Lee Min Jung was great, so I'd say take a shot if you want to see it =]

Okay... this show is a BIG mess from beginning to end but it really saddens me that people keep downgrading this lot. Alright, we can all agree that ending was a total fuck up but you shouldn`t base your opinion on that alone. BIG had great potential and it should`ve been a longer show, only long enough to explore everything properly. Things happened too fast and there are countless spots on the drama but I ate it within 2 days or so. And at the right moment I finished it, I felt like rewatching it and that`s why I gave RV a 10. It was top entertaining and funny, the music was amusing, the acting - Gong Yoo really caught my heart with his comic abilities - and the lead character is very appealing imo. She`s not uptight like usual, she`s sensitive and caring and has some sense of humor for goodness` sake. She had me - when she cried, I felt like crying. If she was amused, so was I. They were so dense those two that everything else kinda faded to grey imo. Woooo... this is completely biased I`m afraid but why the hell not- this show had me weeping and screaming like a teenage fangirl and, to me, that`s what matters.
I would recommend this to everyone not for how great the plot is or how terrific is the ending but simply for how amusing the show really was.
BIG, saranghae! T-T

As every1 will tell u, Gong Yoo carried this drama b/c he is that AMAZING as an actor. I gave the acting a 10 just for his performance. He has 2 be 1 of the most amazing actors ever. This drama would have been better if the other main actors had actually done something that resembled acting.

I watched this for Gong Yoo & his amazing acting. The rest was just extra!

One of my favorite kdrama so far, but I was so desappointing by the two last episodes. A shame. Gong Yoo is so great ( many top less scene at the beginning ! )and all the other actors are really good too. A lot of smiles and a little bit of tears. Awkward moments and misunderstandings as in every kdrama :)

i cant even, how do i start. i almost dropped this like a bad habit. lemmie get to the good parts first GONG YOO SHI this man is overly talented. he was my favorite out of soo many shows av seen. he acted two people in one and i could see the difference that was BRILLIANT. suzy was just a natural bad evil girl in like all her shows. da rans family was pretty entertaining. so lets get to the main point here, wtf was this about. da ran needed to be recasted coz that was just horrible. she tried her best in some parts but her childishness couldnt save me. i think its her actual facial expressions that dint help so she was unreal. i dint/dont even care to remember the rest of the plot. i was just disappointed but not as bad as some others. thanks to gong yo i finished

I loved this drama, the acting was amazing, the storyline was interesting, the romance was cute, and most of the time it kept me laughing.
But if they were to remake it(which is so sad.. they should have just done it in the first place if you ask me) they would definitely need better planning.
Some of the last episodes were mostly wasted because they went in circles over the same problem. Realistic, because it takes us awhile to figure out how to solve our problems, but crappy because you don't want to watch your favorite character smash their head against a brick wall over and over again in multiple episodes.
This ridiculous circling was easy for me to ignore at first, but even I lost my patience with it.
What's worse, it didn't leave enough time in the last episode to give the drama the ending it deserved. Don't get me wrong; I've seen worse, but it was lacking.
Another thing that really bothered me throughout the whole drama was that Shin Won-Ho, the guy who plays Kang Kyung Joon, hardly had a part at all. You think being one of the three main characters would give him some space to act, but no. He spent almost all 16 episodes in a coma. Very frustrating to have such a cute guy not have his turn.
Then again, if he did, I'd probably cry because I wanted to see Gong Yoo more ;) hehe

I'm a huge Hong Sisters fan since a very long time. Everytime they come up with a new project, I'm in heaven.
But I'm must admit, I'm slightly disappointed with "Big" .

All the ingredients for a good drama were there though: Good casting, an interesting plot, the name "Hong Sisters" on the script... But with "Big", they put had a new one which ruin everything: BORINGNESS . I found it hard to continue a drama where nothing is progressing. Any of the characters have capture my heart yet and to be really honest, Gil Da Ran annoys me. After 10 episodes, I still can't find the purpose of this drama and the excitment the other Hong dramas has provided me. Where is it leading ? I have no idea and episode after episode, I find it hard to continue.

GONG YOO SAVED THIS SHOW

I've been wanting to watch this for so long and now that I have watched this, it is not what I expected. For me the overall-ness of this show is absurd like how can a woman that's head over heels to a successful doctor suddenly gets confused falling on a teen ager? like yeah it is given that this show is a fantasy drama but in some point I can't really understand what the writer is wanting to tell the us in this drama.
If I am head over heels to a person I will never get confused for an annoying teen ager, you know what I am saying?? My suggestion for this drama is that maybe it is better if they did not made it a body switch thing, but it is better if they have just made the Doctor became childish after the accident and had an amnesia .. just like what happened to the story on the Kdrama the Good bad mother, there will be no confusion i guess and the story is much better.
Just like what I have said in the headline, Gong Yoo saved this show coz he is so adorable here and the acting is really giving. I also love Suzy here, she is a spoiled brat princess but still has a good heart she is so adorable here and innocent and blunt.
over all the story doesn't make sense, only the comedy parts and the two kids in the hospital, Gil Darans brother and the school Dean, also Darans friend and the PE Teacher all of them is adorable, well every character is adorable and funny only the story is what I didn't like
I thank God I am able to finish it up to the end

This show is not that good but I like it for some reason lol

This show had some pretty cringe and sometimes crazy moments. Overall, I really liked the story. I havent watche dit in years but for some reason I would rewatch it. It's not a bad show but it certainly isnt the best lol. Like some parts were just strange, but honstly, I think the reason I really like the show, its because of some of the funny scenes. I really liked them. I would say tp watch this show whenever youre super bored or need something to play in the background. In the end its not that bad. Although it was weird an 18 year old was kind of dating a adult woman lmfaoooo!

I ADORED their acting and I would totally add this drama to my favorites if not for the ending. I was disappointed and I'd been waiting for an additional episode to clear my messed up thoughts. But all in all I enjoyed it.

If you must watch, stop after episode 15 and then make up your own ending

Like, what the heck? This was actually a pretty good drama but by episode 14 when Kang Kyung Joon and Seo Yoon Jae had not yet switched back that the ending was going to be trash. There just wasn’t enough time left to wrap it up. I felt bad for everyone involved the entire show, especially SYJ because we never got to find out how he really felt about Gil Da Ran. I never got the closure I needed from the drama. SYJ’s character was just tossed to the side as if he was a non-factor. If I could, I would unwatch episode 16 and just imagine a better ending in which both KKJ and SYJ returned to their respective bodies and life went on. KKJ and GDR would not have looked good together and gave Mary Kay Letourneau vibes. Also, fact that KKJ and SYJ are brothers is even more messed up but there was just no good way to end this drama. Idk. Ugh.
