Decent but Needed More Run Time

Overall thoughts was that it had a great soft dramatic ending. I really felt that last episode was well done and pulled at the heart strings.

On the other hand, Tae Joo needed more development and we don't get it in this short run time. He spends the first half of the show pretty much hetero - sleeping with all the girls and make up making out with the girls, and trying to tell Gook to have dates and telling Guk that it's boring with just the two of them and being the biggest spoiled brat. Like yes, he likes Gook, but it barely seems like a romantic love. It seems more like a bromantic love. And then as soon as Gook gives in to Tae Joo's pestering and pushing and goes on a date, and describes their relationship as "Master/Servant" to a potential girlfriend, Tae Joo is suddenly madly in love with Gook? Gook would be totally valid to call Tae Joo out on treating him like a toy he doesn't want taken away.

Kang Gook however was done very well. I could feel every aching moment of his hidden love. From his very first scene, I could feel that chemistry and yearning. My only 2 issues with Gook is that he's being strung along by Tae Joo, and that he agrees to go on the date with Hye Mi at all when he clearly only has eyes for Tae Joo.

Eh..

The idea of the main plot is pretty interesting but it’s executed in an insanely corny manner. Hits all of the BL tropes you can possibly think of. Half the time they’re doing absolutely nothing and I’d still be embarrassed if someone caught me watching this show. They know that side of their audience and are tapping into it well if you catch my drift.

Should have given these roles to actors that aren’t afraid to actually kiss if that’s what you’re going for. Although I suppose this may have been one of the first Kor BL’s to be released so gotta let them off on that one.

Don’t regret watching but it’s nothing extraordinary.

I don't know were to start honestly. When i first heard about this project i didn't know what to expect. As far as i know this is the first korean BL drama and its not showing on korean mainstream media (i stand to be corrected). I wasn't expecting much to begin with but its better than i initially expected though there is nothing new about the story. Its your typical day to day kdrama cliches more like copy paste. Only difference is this time its rich boy poor boy in a forbidden romance so that makes the story a bit more special, that coming from a Y drama lover not a hetero drama lover 5555
For a start they didn't place the wrong foot forward. They are in the right direction and I hope we will see more productions in the near future. The episodes are very short not that i am complaining but i still wish they added a minute more. I am being a bit greedy 5555.
I gave it an 8 because of 2 reasons. 1 its still ongoing and it can go south in the remaining 2 episodes and also its my first k bl.
Is it worth it...YES. If you are into kdrama and Y drama this drama will give you both worlds. It has your typical eye candy which we have come to associate with kdramas and the boys are doing a good job. I recommend.

Treat it like a short movie. +/- 85 minutes of BL goodness.

It i best not to compare it to other BL dramas or movies from other countries. They are way ahead of South Korea in this aspect. Once I stopped doing that, I enjoyed it more. For a drama/movie that had little to work woth, it gave viewers a lot to enjoy. The acting was spot on; I did feel heartbroken when the separation we saw coming happen.

I am glad their choice of muic sparked feeling when it came down to those intense scenes.

Let us hope South Korea will take this as a challenge to improve on all of this.

Spoilers:

Hye Mi's Mom was my favourite character in the drama, because she represented every BL watcher out there who rooted for our boys. As soon as she saw them together, she knew exactly what was going on and she never stopped believing in their love T_T And when she hugged Kang Gook all on her own, oh, how I wish it was me!!!!!! (♡•♡)

Love Requited

I thought the series was excellent. It drew me in with the storyline and the actors. I enjoyed everything about it, except that it was approximately 80 minutes long in total.
I would definitely watch it again. I do not think we need a part two. Too often a second part ruins it all.
The music was okay. It did not turn me off, but it was not the kind that I felt the need to search for either.
I thought the male actors were excellent choices, but the females were a bit forgettable. That is more of the rule than the exception in this type of series.

There's something so amazing about BL web dramas. They have the tendency to make you feel things even despite their short run times. This is a simple story about two young boys who fall in love. There are no surprises in the plot - there wouldn't be time for any - and the majority of it is focused on the boys' relationship and their interactions. Because of that, this drama has high rewatch value - the plot doesn't matter as much as the characters and I could easily see myself returning to it for the characters alone. Honestly, I was surprised about how well shot this was. Most web dramas don't have very good production values, but this one was damn near cinematic.

Don't sleep on this one. It's short and sweet and will put a smile on your face!

I seldom do reviews like this but when I do, it means something. This show is a masterpiece, it's like a full-length film divided into 8 parts, but each part both satisfies and leaves you craving for more at the same time, if you know what I mean. Each episode offered us 'moments' that lingers, like how their eyes linger to each other ^^. Their chemistry is skyrocketing as the story progresses, and the growth for each character, as well as their feelings for each other, is very palpable. This show deserves all the praise its getting. We are hoping for another season of this web series, or a full-length series for Tae Joo and Gukkie, and a movie. HAHAHA, can't blame a fan for trying, eh?

I love this so much! Nobody does dramas quite like Korea. K dramas are in a league of their own and while the episodes are pretty short, "Where Your Eyes Linger" lives up to all your expectations! I mean it when I say that this show does in 90mins what some shows can't do in 2 seasons. The story is sweet and full of all the drama you want, but also has plenty of funny and sweet moments thrown in, to temper said drama. The main actors have incredible chemistry, that really pulls you into their story and has you falling in love with them by the end of the first episode. Honestly, it's so so so good, even the name is perfect! My only critic is that I wish the episodes were longer lol

I was so excited when I first heard about the show because I love kdramas and, as a member of the lgbt+ community, I love seeing queer stories being told. I know this isn't the first Korean bl, but it is (one of) the first times we're getting to see it in mainstream media, and I really hope it's not a one time thing!

The acting was stunning, although the story was a bit cliche. It did not take away though from the raw emotion that these two expressed so elegantly. Unfortunately, the episodes and series were much too short to properly give viewers a strong foundation for this story to rest on. In addition, the characters did feel a bit underdeveloped. Still, I must give this show a perfect 10 because it was a masterpiece within miniseries. It is difficult to get people on board and evoke empathy within your viewers in such a short period, but ALL of the cast made this seem easy. The music selection was also deeply in sync with each moment. I absolutely loved it enough to say that it truly deserved more.

I won't say much to this, but it is really really really well done.
Since I can't come up with negatives, I won't be using my usual review format.
This series the acting, the music and the story is really well done.
The actions of the characters are relatable and its just so touching.
Especially the dialogue flows really well between our two main characters.
It really hooks one from the first episode to the last.

The setting is also pretty and yes I know the setting is placed in school, but its really not a cliche.
Both actors are really handsome and even if I dont think that should be a deciding criterium, it is really nice to look at.

My recommendation : Watch it :) Support it.

They made a Korean BL series with a healty relationship, likeable characters with a lot of chemistry and good acting? That also had a happy ending? Will miracles never end?

When I first saw it's gonna be master- servent type of relationship I was like not again! I hate those relationships cuz one partner has more power then the other and treats the other partner so badly but somehow in the end they are in love. Its not a healty relationship at all. That why this drama surprised me. It may have a master- servant type of relationship but that's not the feeling I got. Like they were so much more and they saw each other as equals, there was respect.
Sure the plot was a bit predictable but it still was enjoyable and beautiful. I had to wait so many years to get this kind of good drama. It was worth it.
Can we now make one with 30 min ep? Or 16 ep? I hope there will be more fantastic dramas with healty relationships like this, in the future with all my heart!

Korea rarely makes BL dramas, furthermore a BL drama that has a happy ending. Although Fantagio Entertainment said that this drama is just "bromance", anyone who has eyes can clearly see that the couple is more than just bromance. (Fantagio, you clown) This just highlights the Korean's mindset towards LGBTQ+ community/ couples/ people.

I really enjoy the drama. The story did not include too much angsty scenes which can cause the drama to be draggy. At the same time, the story did not include too little angsty scenes for the drama to be boring. The story may be a little bit slow to some viewers, but the drama managed to showcase the thoughts and self-doubts of the characters on their way of becoming a couple that is not widely accepted in the society. It portrays a realistic approach and problems in relationships.

I like how at the ending of each episode, there will be different songs played. And all of the songs have nice melodies too. I can see my future self rewatching the drama countless of times. Even though the drama consists of only 8 episodes (it may be insufficient episodes for some viewers), I am able to finish this drama when I am having a break on school days.
