The story of the lil bro trying to chase the older sister ((not blood related)
Seriously someone should update the summary of this drama,..Female lead studies psychology and contemplates whether to do grad school. Male lead is 6 years younger than the female lead. The female lead was always there to take care of him. He has always had a crush on his "sister". He;s obviously a little more naughty and playful , while the. female lead is more calm and collected. The dad always tries to set her up with dates. In order to stop the dad from setting more dates the male lead claims the female lead is pregnant! lol starting their fake romance!
Although their relationship is super cute! like you could totally feel the love of the male lead for his sister..... They kinda have a weird relationship. Weird in the sense... is like i thought they were together, wait they actually arent,,,, they have miscommunication, break up, get back together. They get their marriage license... yet the male lead still proposes to her. It just seems like a back and forth chasing...Like the female lead likes him but i dont even know when they were offically together.
The story development is a little lacking in the sense that it just goes back and forth between the leads. I didnt feel much character development from the female lead or male lead. Also they made it mysterious as to why the male lead eats candy /sweet he gets an allergic reaction They dont really explain or elaborate on it.
She starts her own dessert shop after...And it wasn't successfully initially. Joey chua is cute in here but her personality is to wishy washy.... Can't believe the actor is born in 2000.
I definitely would not rewatch... but for first timers its decent.

Sweet Lil Bro
The blurb made me started with too high expectation for this series. Older woman with younger man story is actually not my cup of tea, but the summarize from MDL really got me captivated, that's how I started to watch this. IMHO, the blurb actually should be edited a bit for adjustment.Those who had watched "LS" and love the older woman romance maybe could like this, coz imo this one has more vibes of sister and little brother, I think the reason is The Sweetest Secret has better maturity level in each character. Not like others, I don't think this series has bad scene transition editing or badly dubbed. I don't even can tell it's dubbed at first place, I only keep thinking the FL's voice kinda sounds like someone (I think her voice similiar to JJY's voice in RfY? ^^"); and for the transition, I have several current watch which worse and annoying, lol. The soundtrack in this series also quite suit itself.
The story at first bringing the realistic one which the woman who almost 30 always forced to be married real soon, what a society ha ha. I started for that issue and keep watching for ZYR (he's shining here, really), his hair and clothes better here compare to FiYS, lol :D. In addition, the tune of his voice just felt so right and expressive. Btw, I feel so sad for Lin Ran, he can't consume any glucose (so he won't be able to eat fruit also, right? I just can't imagine) :(.
Hmm, although they act well, (the kiss kiss scene) I don't really got the chemistry and love in it (possibly only me who felt that way). After all, I'm happy to meet XKX here, yeeha! XD. Ji Han probably appeared with the best characters ever happened in c-drama, she is so nice and so kind, what a sweet girl. Anddd, LR is definitely a sweet young boyfie. Girlsss, you knowww, when a boy trying to give up in their hobby just for you .... Believe me, it's part of him showing how much he loves you. <3
This series is quite a fluffy one. Honestly, for me, it's quite boring and the story arrangement is quite a mess, that I won't ever rewatch it again, but it may different for others. Ah, another bad for this series, I believe the watchers can literally feel how low budget it is :(. However--once again, for who like the older woman younger man romance, you may give this a try, maybe unlike me, you'd love it.

was expecting too much when i saw this drama
i found this drama bcs i recently got into zhou yiran, so i wanted to watch his dramas and this is the first drama i watched him as a main character. the story was just .. meh. i predicted some of the scenarios and it turned out to be true in what's in my mind. when you see the description you'll have a hint already on how is it gonna end. the casts r great, they act well. it's just the plot the gives it off. actually rooted more with the FL's best friend's love story with JZC. i like them more than the main leads, i'm sorry, yiran T__T hope they'll get casted both again but with a good storyWas this review helpful to you?
Better other dramas out there
Don’t waste your time w this one. The storyline is sloppy, the production is bad, the romance is weird. Nothing wrong with the older woman younger man theme, just the way their relationship developed, lack of communication, no clear definition of when they got together and how they progressed etc..Many plots in the storyline were weird and ridiculous. Many things didn’t make sense. I mainly watched this for Zhou Yiran who plays the ML Lin Ran. I’ve liked him since Falling into your smile :) Hopefully he gets better roles next time.
I basically watched the entire drama at 1.5x speed :) and skipped episodes 11-18! Didn’t miss much because I could understand the break up they had in ep19.
If you like the older woman theme- the better ones are like My Fated Boy. That one also is like a younger brother that grew up together.

I give this drama an 8 in part because I did finish it and lately I can’t seem to find a drama that keeps my interest long enough to actually finish (without the help of the fast forward button). But I liked this one. The production was terrible and editing was pretty bad too. The story was confusing and parts of it made absolutely no sense. But despite ALL that, I liked the CP! I’ve watched my share of older girl/younger guy dramas and it’s always hit or miss. Either the older FL acts like a 13 year old in a relationship and .is too desperate to get married or the younger ML just doesn’t have that extra “something” to convince me that an older woman would be interested in him. This drama, at least for me, met that formula. ML had that handsome boyish charm and extra “something” and FL was beautiful and exactly who she portrayed herself to be… a normal 28 year old. She wasn’t any different at work or at home which I SOO appreciated. I can’t handle the independent strong business woman who turns into an insecure and weak mess when she’s in a relationship.At the end of the day, this is a decent drama to watch when you’re between dramas but you really have to accept it for what it is… a low budget production with lots of flaws, but a sweet romance between the CP’s.

The Sweetest Not So Secret..
The story revolves around TWW and LR who grew up together, but LR initially was secretly in love with TWW. They initially have a fake relationship to help TWW get her certificate/diploma to get her to enroll to PH D program. But LR keep on pushing until TWW became his real girlfriend.Honestly, I am not much invested in TWW and LR, alhtough what I liked most in their story was that it was a realistic portrayal of how a relationship works when one is older and the other is younger.
I am much more interested in the story of LX and JZC, the FLs best friend and the businessman who once thought TWW was the ideal woman for him. His rationality and way of measuring up people by adding or deducting points, is kinda funny. LX is a complex woman with a past and is easily misunderstood. This is a classic opposites do attract.
Then lastly we have JH and GZ, JH was in once infatuated with LR but she's very open minded and understands her affection will neer be reciprocated and decided to move on and be happy, her as a friend to LR is better than nothing.
The crazy guy DZ us literally cray cray with his delusions and crazy mom, though, they added spice to the story. The classmate who worked part time for TWW is a classic nutcase too, since LR didn't like her, she wanted to ruin everyone else. She got what she deserved.
The acting is so-so. Plotwise it's a good story. Not much fluff but the realistic approach is nice.
OST is fit for the series but not much remarkable if you ask me.

not even yiran could save this one…
ok so i was rlly excitef to watch this because i love zhou yiran and the main lead girl is rlly pretty so caught my eye but its just .. a messthe plot is all over the place, bad dubbing, the editing is messy and as much as i wanted to give it a chance i couldnt bring myself to ? i hope the leads get a better opportunity because theyre both good actors..
i did only watch 2 full eps but that was enough for me to give up,, id rather spend my time watching something good instead haha .. also the description here makes it seem good but it rlly isnt imo
