Fate will always find its way to you
SUCH A CUTE DRAMA, ESP THE FL!Eventhough this was only 6 eps long, it managed to show us so much without over or under doing anything. It showed us sweet high school love, the pressure of providing and protecting your loved ones, gambling, and fate.
Ml is so handsome?? and fl is SO ADORABLE?, and they look amazing together. Their chemistry and playing high schoolers in love is so authentic and real. They showed us how external pressures can make it hard to love (ml initial hesitancy), but also how loving can make life easier and worth living another day for. Also, the amount of kisses they had caught me off guard?, like there was prolly more in these 6 23 minute episodes than in the ususal 16 hour long episodes.
We need more fl's like this fl in kdramas. Strong AND feminine! Being one doesnt mean you automatically can't be the other, which a lot of kdrama writers seem to assume.
I admire how understanding, loving, caring, and most importantly, unjudging (is that a word??) She is. She doesnt act like some spoilt brat who is above the ml, but rather as an equal individual who just has it better than most others, but she doesnt let that affect how she presents herself, and how she treats others, which i respect so much.
I also LOVE how she tells the sml straight to his face that she doesn't like him at all, like YOU GO GURLL!?
Likewise, i have so much respect for the ml. He takes responsibility over his family when he is still in high school without complaint, even if it means putting himself and his wants and needs aside. I also LOVE how he doesnt back down to the FUCKING POS sml
P.S. Reading back over this review, ive barely said anything abt the actual drama and what its about, and more abt why i like the characters, but oh well, who cares
All in all, this short drama is DEFINITELY worth your time (recommended binge watch)?

I guess you can call it fate
Under the gun is nothing out of the ordinary, just a short series with romance retold once again.Cha Se-Young is your typical "rich" FL, from a good home and not much drama at her house other than match making mother. Bonus points because she is not a brat, doesn't flex her wealth and is actually nice and proactive. Whilst our ML, Go Gun, is rough around the edges due to life but is also a decent human being who was forced to grow up too soon. The meet up is as destined and they eventually bond and date. Even though it's short there aren't as many plot hole that make you disinterested nor a heavy focus on side plots that don't add to the story but we do have a healthy amount of coincidences and clichés (as expected). Bonus points for cute height differences, how they always support each other (mostly FL but still) and proper communication between the two most of the time. Even when there's disputes they are quickly resolved and everything goes back to normal. It's a cute romance with one or two tear jerking scenes, and adults not acting like adults most of the time.
It's a story of how life can be mean at times but with the right people on your side you can hold on just to live another day. And if you are lucky enough, get through it, and live to tell the story. There's good chemistry between the leads, although I must say I wasn't a fan of everything especially how they initially got together because she practically did to him what SML did to her successfully but I digress. Notice how I didn't say much about the SML? Well he is a plot device, and that's about it. It's a decent watch to get out of a slump or if you want a quick watch.

Good Enough
Korean mini series '' Under The Gun '' is a school romance - melodrama. The drama has a strong start, with introducing the characters and establishing the romantic relationship and the love triangle. Those characters were, actually, quite interesting and the actors and actresses did a good job handling them and giving us solid performances.
Unfortunately, the drama suffered from its length. Hence, everything happened fast and the development was unsteady. Especially when it came to the romance, it felt like the main girl was forcing the relationship on the guy, as she was following him around like a puppy. Also, the whole rivalry could have been handled better.
So, overall, four out of ten.

VERY short and VERY Sweet
I gave this Drama 10 because it was a great example of the truth of the saying that less is more. The core story of ANY KDrama romance is very simple and could be told in very little time. In as little time as 6 23 minute episodes, actually. This Drama hit every button - RIDICULOUSLY cute and VERY pretty FL, withdrawn and damaged ML (but NOT tsundere, thank goodness), redemption arc and lots of great kiss scenes. What else does a romance Drama need?

Consigliato? Direi proprio di sì.
