back to review, story are simple and quit fast, but i love it since we don't need to wait too much episode. acting are good, i like both the main actor so much, they have this chemistry specially si de. i guess they make this first season simple to make the story much complicated in the next season, tears and so on. i also i love to see the other couple story i think they are cute, and also the doctor one is still mystery. will surely wait for the next season.

So refreshing !!

I began this show without any expectations but I ended it being very sad: it's already over!! I really really loved WBL, and I'm very surprised because the story is not that new. The theme is about unrequited love, and it is more a BL than a LGBTQ+ show, as it not really and directly tackled the homosexuality question.

BUT (there is a huge BUT), the story was so fresh! I don't know but everything from the cast (Sam and YU chemistry is precious) to the editing, directing, music, colours.... I like everything, except some sides characters. Some were really unnecessary, and I didn't like the doctor. He was very strange, sometimes even kinda creepy... I like the two friends of Shy Yi though. Sam Lin is a good actor, I like his expressions in WBL.

It's only 6 episodes of 30 min so If you want to take a good time, please watch this show, it really deserves it! I'm so excited about season 2 and I'm also little afraid. But based on the end of the ep 6, I don't think there will be a lot of drama, or at least it will still be kind of "light". Even the last scene was at the same time sad but also funny for me aha.

Finally, I love Sam and YU friendship. I'm not the type of fan who like shipping actors together, I don't really like that. Same, I don't like the all "wife" thing. BUT I admit that I really love seeing Sam and YU together (as friends). There are son funny, so natural and they seem to care and like each other a lot.

(I'm very strict with ratings so don't really mind it, the most important thing is this: I liked this show very much, give it a try).

This Drama shows that it doesn’t need a new Story to be outstanding

When you see the real facts, this BL isn’t Unique or Outstanding. We’ve got several Cliches, like the school setting, Enemys to Lover, first straight than gay because of the „One“ and even an indicated Love-Triangle.

But when it comes to acting, chemistry, and atmosphere, this one is almost perfect.
The Tragic of the unrequited Love is painfully noticeable just like the struggles of Zhou Shun Yi, thanks to both main actors who carry the whole Drama with their presence and their charisma.
So all in all I’m so happy that there is a second season announced because I want to see their Love growing and very excited about which way this story evolves.

This was so good!
Some thoughtful writing and even when there was only six episodes I didn't feel like it was rushed or incomplete! It was just the best couple chemistry from the very first scene!!!

I just feel like that ending I don't like it usually when the guy goes away Where Your Eyes Linger and Your Name Engraved both had it and I read it in Call Me By Your Name ages ago and I loved the book so much but the ending left me in a depression hole lol back when there was no thought of a movie so I still haven't gotten over it.

But somehow it felt really frustrating and similar to Call Me when Your Name Engraved did it ffs that movie broke my heart . But in Linger it doesn't feel as heavy because the overall feel of the show is light angst and honestly this one is even lighter angst so I wasn't hurt by the end just a little disappointed.

I generally don't like bittersweet endings ngl so that's probably just me I prefer either Happy Endings or just plain tragedy. Because tragedy is when someone literally dies for another person. That's HEA for the couple right? But Call Me By Your Name and Engraved where one person chickens out or "goes away" leaving someone you're supposed to love STRANDED just isn't love to me.

So yeah back to WBL I think there's a next season and I won't mind if it becomes a regular thing like History

A sweet little story made special by the amazing chemistry between the lead actors. Shou Yi & Shi De’s story is, well, it’s nothing original, really. But thanks to the actors, it feels like something more, they honestly elevate the whole thing.

And then there are the things like Shi De’s mother who’s absolutely amazing. The fact that Shou Yi is half-Japanese and they cast a half-Japanese actor so the blend between his Chinese and Japanese is seamless, when he switches between the languages (mainly when he’s startled or emotional), it doesn’t feel forced. Then there’s the intrigue with Shou Yi’s father, introduced in the last episode as an appetizer for what’s to come in S2. And Shi De’s cousin and his emotional issues - and his lost love...

There’s a lot that works for this drama, considering it’s just 6 barely 30 min. episodes. It’s definitely worth it.

Short, sweet, simply bromance

Actually I was not aware on this Taiwanese drama till I saw someone posted it in Weibo. So I decided to check out the review over here & read most viewers rated highly on this drama. Since it's only 6 episodes with 30 mins per/episode so I just give it a try. Please bear in mind, uni/college dramas is not to my preference so for this drama, I give it an exemption.
True enough this drama did not disappoint me. Why? It's was short, sweet & has simply storyline. Not those lengthy, draggy with repetitive scenes.
I trust most of you have read other reviews on this drama over here so I am not going to repeat it over here.
What capture me most in this drama is how the both ML acted on their roles. It was sooooo captivating & convincing which audiences can feel how both have gone thru & how both felt for each other especially on Gao Shi De role. He has been following or stalking Zhao Shu Yu since they are small around 6 or 7 years old & never give up on trying to be close to Zhao Shu Yu. The development of this story too is decent & well-paced where viewers can see both Gao Shi De & Zhao Shu Yu roles in order to fully understand both.
I like how Gao Shi De secretly whispering to Zhao Shu Yu ear saying that the person that he loves all the time is Zhao Shu Yu & how Zhao Shu Yu reaction after discovering this little secret from Gao Shi De & how he reciprocate the love to Gao Shi De.
I must said this is one of the best bromance or BL drama atm as it's not too cringy but mixture of bitterness, sweetness, sad & happy. It's even better than those normal man & woman relationship in any kdramas or cdramas.
Hopefully the 2nd session is as good as the 1st session as the opening of 2nd session - "WBL - Fighting Mr. 2nd" picks up where the 1st session ended but after 5 years later when both ML are now grown up working adults.
Last & not least this drama has mostly males castings so if you are those who love watching hot or cute guys or boys then this drama you may really consider watching it.

Fresh take on unrequited love

Unrequited love is a very common plot but this series somehow makes the plot very interesting and gives fresh twists to it. The acting is also really good. The character's emotions are very clear even on cases where they aren't speaking. I find myself pausing multiple times because you can see the emotions in the character's faces. The quality shows that this series was well thought of and is a product of hard work. And I love the series OST. It describes the story well, and is also quite addicting to listen to.

It's been a long time since I've been this engrossed in a series. Can't wait for the next episode.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND (SWEET AND SIMPLE)

I highly recommend watching this drama. Though it is only 6 episodes long, the story line is very sweet and beautiful. Both male leads make me believe the characters have this underlying chemistry. If you're looking for something quick to watch yet want to see character development, this is the drama for you. Amazing music is a plus as well. I can't stop singing the theme song. I's really excited to see where We Best Love 2 will take us (in fact, I've already watched the first episode.)

Beautiful secret love story.

EP by EP, my heart skips a beat. The story is not original but this series have their own charms. It's simple, cute and realistic.

The actors are attractive, their chemistry is good and there are lot of cute scenes to be remembered. Confession during sleep scene is cliché but they portrayed it well. And the confession kiss/cry scene is just woow! Their Ost also just really clicked n suited with the romantic/drama ambience.

The only fault that I can point out is the series is too short. Time per Ep and number of Ep does not satisfy me. Thank god there will be 2nd season soon.
