A Breathtaking 10/10 Fantasy Romance Where Allure Turns Deadly and Betrayal Cuts Deep
The premiere of Flower Boy is a stunning visual experience from ONE31, blending fantasy romance with a modern corporate world in a way that feels both fresh and cinematic.Pearl and Peak reunite here, and their chemistry feels stronger than ever. There is an ease and intensity between them that immediately pulls you in.
The story begins in modern Bangkok, where a vice president is struggling to save his failing perfume empire. His search for something rare and extraordinary leads him to the legend of a mysterious flower tribe whose people carry a natural fragrance unlike anything else. That journey takes Scent (Pearl) deep into the mountains, and from that moment on, everything changes.
Once inside the Mudan tribe, the atmosphere completely shifts. The series becomes immersive in a way that feels thoughtful and detailed. From the traditional clothing to the wooden homes and the untouched rhythm of life, every element is beautifully crafted. The scenery is especially breathtaking, moving from dense forest to cascading waterfalls, making each scene feel almost dreamlike.
At the center of it all is Gaysorn, portrayed by Pearl, who is fragile, captivating, and impossible to look away from. His presence alone carries so much emotion.
The connection between Gaysorn and Scent is immediate and magnetic, creating a strong emotional pull from their very first meeting. The contrast between a man from the modern world and someone who has never experienced it adds an extra layer of depth to their relationship.
Even the names feel intentional. In Thai, Gaysorn means pollen or the pistil of a flower, symbolizing beauty and new life, which fits his character perfectly. Scent complements that meaning, tying directly into the way he is drawn to Gaysorn.
What makes this series work so well is how it blends corporate ambition, nature driven mystery, and a sense of forbidden romance, all wrapped in a rich fantasy setting that feels both intimate and expansive.
The only real downside is its length. With just eight episodees, it already feels like there is not enough time to fully explore everything the story is building.
Episode one is a breathtaking start, emotional, stylish, and beautifully crafted.
A stunning first episode that leaves you wanting more, 10/10

Worth Watching a million times over.
I was already so impressed by LITM. To think it was their debut ship and both of them nailed their roles as Sasin and Saenkaew so beautifully. Such amazing actors. Then came Flower Boy. Omg! such a treat to the eyes. It is so beautiful and their chemistry just got better. I am so digging Pearl as a red flag. And Peek's eyes, just the eyes are doing all the talking. The story is also so unique. Loving every bits of it. I am so grateful they gave us a second show within one year. Something so beautiful to witness again. Love them so much their bond is so precious. My only complaint is why only 8 episodes. Please give me more episodes or tell me there is a third series coming so I can keep holding on. One of the most unique Bl's I have seen so far. PEARLPEEK fighting! SCENTGAYSORN fighting! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜Was this review helpful to you?

Enchanted, but with a twist.
STOP inserting blatant product placements inbetween emotionaly intense scenes!!Remenecnt of early 2000's romantic dramas with a touch of fantasy. Innocent & naive MC untouched by the evils of civilized society meets crude and calculating ML who is the embodiment of everything wrong with capitalism, who is not inherently evil & has the potential to redeem himself.
Their relationship starts with manipulation and lies from the ML who is very conveniently named scent (not complaining). They fall in love, it's cute and they have great chemistry, but it only takes about 2 months, which is a bit unrealistic. I love PearlPeak since Love in the Moonlight. They look excellent together, and peak fits the character of Gaysorn very well.
The making & screenplay is okay. There are some editing mistakes. The ost is lovely. As i said, the blatant ads are jarring, especially during emotional scenes. These things does not prevent it from being enjoyable. It is worth watching.

It's good but needs more depth
I do feel the story could have some depth to it but considering it's 8eps and soo much on the plate I get it. I liked it but i feel it could have been better, a little more redemption, a little more depth. I did cry a little but i feel they could have made me brawl like LITML. There are things that kinda feel incomplete for me rn.- Like they showed the mom being with gaysorn all that time as a butterfly so does that mean mom bought scent to gaysorn? Which is fine but why scent? Not like she met him as a kid and liked him or something (a back story would hv helped
- mata being able to talk to souls, she said she could do it if it was a muda person and they had a belonging of theirs. Busaba's necklace was with gaysorn the whole time and her soul too. Why didn't she talk
- I feel they could have added something to Mekhin like make him a surprise villian or Tawan's end game cz initially i thought it would be MekhinRay but that doesn't look like it's gonna happen and Mekhin liking gaysorn again that is also being left incomplete cz we hv 1 more episode
- they could have added a stronger intent behind ray helping gaysorn. Probably use his affection towards his mom or else his hatred towards scent... make scent a bit more negative someone who just uses people and used ray too
- a bit more on the part where scent falls for gaysorn instead of that timeskip with flashes of what happened etc.
- bussaba going back after 4 years when phukin told her he'd leave after her..no matter how late he would be 2 years would be max before she assumed he was dead. Especially when he warned her about kusuma
- i am still curious how phukin extracted the scent from busaba. Cz he extracted 3 bottles of it while scent could barely get 1. He obviously didn't torture her.
I'd say it's a 9 for me rn I'd give it a 10 if they made this a 12 ep drama with more depth.

Flower Boy, it pleases my literary atavisms.
Flowers Boy contains elements that please my atavistic tastes in literature: the encounter between civilization and barbarism (although someone from the city isn't exactly civilized), the myth of the noble savage (who trades gold for glass beads), and, of course, the instinctive attraction of scent (for some reason they don't describe it as pheromones 🤔). The actors are on par with their previous work, Love in the Moonlight, although they distance themselves from the character of their former roles. If they maintain the pace and consistency of the plot twists, I think it will be one of those series that you'll want to rewatch. Incidentally, we'll have to see how Scent redeems itself from the damage it's been doing. Was this review helpful to you?

Episode 4 Review
Sent is beginning to love Gaysorn not as a source of fragrance, but as a person he wants to protect.EP.4 revealed the tragic past behind the perfume company, while jealousy and human cruelty slowly invade Gaysorn’s innocent world.
One31 dramas often revolve around karma, and this story feels like “the sins of the father are visited upon the children.”
The love between Sent and Gaysorn is becoming deeply tied to the dark history of their parents’ generation.

relationship built on manipulation/lies
Overall: the writers made Scent near irredeemable for a romantic lead part. 8 episodes about 45 minutes each. Airing on GagaOOLala https://www.gagaoolala.com/en/videos/6944/flower-boy-2026-e01 (not in Thailand, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Macau)Content Warnings: manipulation, past death/murder, non con kiss, non con sex*, non con touching/manhandling
What I Liked
- unique premise
- countryside setting for part of it
- visuals
- Pearl & Peak
- neutral on Ray, he didn't mean to have the effect it did when he pushed Gaysorn and he and his boyfriend did want to help Gaysorn learn the truth (though was was with the boyfriend taking those secretive pictures of Gaysorn in episode 6?)
Room For Improvement
- *Gaysorn was very traumatized and not in his normal head space, he also did not have all of the information about Scent/Scent's intentions (taking the post sex pillowcase was so yuck), the first 5 episodes did not show romance, just manipulation of someone extremely naive/innocent
- the underwater non con kiss was not sweet
- Scent couldn't think why Gaysorn would be upset and leave him in ep 6...use your brain Scent, what were you doing that was extremely hurtful to your supposed soulmate...
- should have left it at 1 CGI butterfly
Thoughts on Grey Characters/Their Romantic Relationships
Sometimes these characters and their dynamic work for me and other times they don't. Here are the factors that I'm thinking about.
1. was there a realistic reason why the character/s acted the way they did in the past/present - (kind of, Scent thinks he'll save his father's life though he never visits him so his undying love rings hollow)
2. were both characters grey or was one squeaky clean (Gaysorn is the most naive/innocent character ever while Scent has a playboy reputation and was very manipulative)
3. what was the duration/severity of the harmful behavior - (finally in episode 6 Gaysorn learned the truth (not from Scent who I think would never had told him the truth), that was way too long for the manipulation to go on with only 2 episodes left
4. was there some kind of apology/amend making (in episode 6 there were a few I'm sorrys and drunk crying)
5. was there character growth (TBD)
6. do I believe that the characters will stay together in a happy romantic relationship (TBD)

A strong start with natural chemistry
For a first episode, this was a really strong start. the pacing felt quick, but it kept me engaged the whole time and left me wanting more.what really stands out is the chemistry between pearlpeak. it feels natural and effortless, not forced, which makes their scenes easy to get invested in. there’s a comfort there that translates well on screen and makes their interactions feel genuine. visually, it’s also very pleasing, and the overall tone has a nice atmosphere. if this is the level from episode one, i’m definitely looking forward to what’s next.

Perfect casts
"I’m absolutely hooked on Flower Boy! The premise of a cold-hearted businessman meeting someone from a 'rare flower tribe' is so unique and refreshing. The chemistry between the leads is electric right from the start. I love how the show balances the high-stakes corporate world with the mystical, soft vibes of the flower tribe. It’s visually stunning and emotionally gripping. If you’re looking for a drama that gives you all the feels, this is it!"Was this review helpful to you?
