It's a rewatch, like trying to reminisce because I also happened to have forgotten some of the contents of this film, so I decided to re-watch it.
Inoue Mao & Masaki Okada looks so young in here, they are also quite good at building chemistry and doing dramatic scenes, and they're made me crying hu hu hu.
Enough... enough... I think that's all I can type hu hu hu.

This always makes me Cry
No matter how many times I watch this movie it always makes me cry. I love the Casts in this movie, especially Inoue Mao. I have become a very big fan of her after watching this movie. The couple in this movie is very cute. I would really recommend watching this movie once. I have watched this a lot and I still cry each time I see it. The Sound Tracks are perfect. The story is quite different from all the other Japanese School Romance movies that I have seen so far. I really wish that I could have seen the movie a bit earlier. Well, that's it for my review. Love Japanese Love Movies? It is for you
I did not have any idea I was going to watch this movie today. It was at 11:30 pm yesterday I decided to watch it from a recommendation from April Bride(from MDL). Now it is 3:13 am 04.04.24 currently.Being a romance genre lover, I have always been looking for good Japanese love movies or dramas. They are fast paced, extremely good acting, emotional, leaves a message for the viewers. For all these reasons, Japanese movies tops my romantic genre collection.
Now about this movie---
As the name suggests, it is a story of two lovers who were their first love to each other. They were kids when they started to feel love for each other. Again as the plot describes, the male character has a grave disease which gives him an ultimatum to live until age 20. Although we got to guess the ending, but still at our corner of our heart, wanted him to survive. I knew the plot can't be good according to movie production in case he survives, but still the hopes of letting him live more dragged me to feel rollercoaster of emotions alongside Mayu, and all the other characters involved. The father doctor also played a great role. I liked the fact that he allowed her to love the boy even though he was so ill. It shows he was not a heartless person as Takuma thought.
Mayu's emotions and her feelings were indescribable. Her passion for Takuma could make anything possible. We saw the proof. She was playing around but she was capable enough. That's what I couldn't believe when they made the daughter of a doctor so dumb. She was definitely not dumb. She knew what she was upto. Her passion and dedication for her love inspires me to believe in love.
Takuma's feelings although could have been misunderstood at the middle but he also was genuinely in love with her. It's just that his illness sometimes made him doubt about everything. Well it can be possible that his feelings were not described so vividly to make us viewers imagine what we want to, and I would definitely think the positive way. Atleast in movies I can experience the kind of love I could only hope for.
Overall it's a fantastic movie . If you don't like sad endings, maybe you can skip but it isnt something you gonna regret. Give it a try. Happy bingeing!!!

She, with an intention of loving him who has the limited life, promise won't let him go no matter what.
He, who know that his life has a limit, try to let her go because he don't wanna make her sad and cry, because he love her so much.
They both love each other with their own way.
The timeline is different from the manga tough and I'm not finish my reading yet (^_^;) But somehow I prefer the movie, because it's more make sense for me.

This movie made me cry soo much. I loved everything about this movie except for the final scene. I thought it was a little... weird/ creepy? But aside from that, I really loved this movie. I literally bawled my eyes out.

The story is really sad but not like everything is bad. I really loved it, t just touched me, how Mayu and Takuma really love each other and trying to stay togheter. But life just keeps getting in the way. I really recommend watching it if you love story's with tragedy and romance.
They also acted really good, especialy Inoue Mao, she is just amazing.
