I picked that drama by accident really... and I did not regret I watch it! It's not only funny, but the characters are totally lovable! For those who are not married - eye opener, for married people - confirmation that is what marriage usually is anyway and watching this drama is best of the best entertainments I have seen this year! Because I loved this drama so much for many reasons and watched it all within 48 hrs I gave it 10 stars. That was a huge surprise for me to give such a high rating, but his show has surprised me in many good ways! Totally lovable series!

unconventional love story

main line; it's an awkward rom-com. I liked the way the FML's story just chew every conventional love story's feature and just hang it upside down in a freaky show manner. nothing will go smoothly in this drama, but in the end everything will fall into place. that's this unbelievable balance that gives the show it's taste.

if you are a girl you'll definitely have SML syndrome. I loved the story, but never understood why she fell for the MML. the SML is soo better! he is cuter, kinder, more respectful and tender. even if nothing is said on his background, there is no way his family is worse than the MML's one. but, what can you do if the FML's heart chose wrong...?

the general atmosphere is a comic show. even if some difficult things happen, everything is handled in a funny/awkward way, and you will laugh a lot.

when to watch: it's suitable for everyone, watch it if you need to relax.

The actors did the best with what they had

If you love silly goofy romances, this drama is for you. I do not. When I wanted to rewatch a fluffy drama, I remembered this drama as being pretty good so I sat down to rewatch it. Disappointingly, I had to skip through half this drama the second time.

For the good: the main couple are very cute together. I think the last scene is so romantic, I may rewatch just that part many times. Mamamoo's song in this drama makes me happy whenever it pops up. Jangmi's arc with the mother-in-law is also very interesting, and it takes up a lot of the show. The actors work hard on the script they've got.

Now for the bad:
- Jangmi the main female lead is ultra clingy and let's everyone walk over her. This created so many of the "comedic" moments in the show that I did not think was funny at all. They just made me sad. We're also supposed to believe that she's a very considerate girl but there are many times where that is inconsistent like when she just takes over the male lead's home.
- Jangmi's friend is a manipulative friend and girlfriend who literally took advantage of a guy and manipulated everyone to pity her. But we're supposed to laugh because the guy is a silly dude so it's all okay right??
- We're supposed to root for the second male lead even though he dismissed Jangmi multiple times due to his ambitions or pride.

Overall, would only rewatch again for certain parts. Would only recommend if you're looking for something to pass the time.

At first the story was really interesting. The plot was well executed. But after almost 10 episodes it started getting really boring. The lead actress was really veryyyy annoying!!! She just got on my nerves. Other than her everyone else was good. Overall it's an ok ok drama. Not really my cup of tea.
The music was good.
The male lead did a really good job.
This was one of the worst kdramas I have ever watched. So if you like stories where the man keeps on confessing the woman but she tries to restrain herself from confessing then this one's for you and if not then don't waste your time on this.

For me MND is one of those light romantic comedy with a heart shows our there. But i would say this is different as it offers a fresh and raw views of dating relationship. The two leads are just so convincing with off the chart chemistry that i almost ship them in real life! Yes, there are cliches here but you can just slide them and would not affect the total result of the drama!

This is warm, with so much fun and laughter but i am warning you you would need box of tissues as there are crying scenes towards the end of the shows!

Two thumbs up for the other supporting characters esp the mother of Gong kitae, such an award winning performance for a mother and martyred wife character!

It is a summer romcom hence the very light wardrobes and wow those legs of Han groo is a plus!

This is the kind of drama you know exactly what you'll get when you read the title. That's not necessarily a bad thing. It's the kind of drama I'm often in the mood for but it's also not going to blow any minds. The characters are....interesting. I really love Joo Jang Mi. She can get annoying if naive optimism isn't for you but she was kind of refreshing. Even in depressing parts of the show she found a way to be positive. She never felt like she lost who she was. I also really like Han Yeo Reum, too, and not just because he's in 2am. He was an interesting character with an interesting dynamic. I do think he ended up being used mostly as a plot device rather than being truly fleshed out. The last two or three episodes REALLY do this. It made them not as enjoyable. The rest of the characters were okay in my opinion. Gong Ki Tae is kind of a stereotypical drama male lead so I wasn't too drawn in by him. I did think Yeon Woo Jin and Han Groo had great chemistry which made the romance between Gi Tae and Jang Mi more believable. I think there was pretty good character growth over all too for the rest of the characters. But I found myself wanting to (and sometimes actually) skipping scenes with the side characters. The plot was honestly as generic as they come. Fake marriage/dating has been a troupe since people started writing romance for entertainment. It's fun, but there was nothing ground breaking about this version of it. The music was great! I found a lot of the songs stuck in my head so I'll probably buy the soundtrack. They didn't really get annoying either which is always a huge plus. I ended up starting this drama months ago and just recently picked it back up to finish so I ended up rewatching/skimming the episodes I had already watched so I wasn't completely lost. This does not hold up to a rewatch at all. It probably won't be a drama I'll ever revisit. But it was fun and cute and fluffy. And who doesn't need that sometimes.

Ugh, I was so frustrated watching the first 10 episodes. I skipped through many parts when the main female lead was acting in such stupid ways and making stupid decisions. The main male lead killed me too, with his reserved attitude. I liked the last 5-6 episodes because there was so much less drama and there were some really nice and touching scenes and the leads also, finally, spent some quality time together. I hated some of the characters, and I loved some. All in all, so frustrating. The reason why I'm still giving it a solid grade is the background story of their families and how well some characters develop throughout the drama. But if I were to grade the drama episode 1 do 10, I probably wouldn't have given it more than 5 stars. I'm probably never going to rewatch it, tho.

I honestly did not expect to enjoy this show so much! The leads are not my type when it comes to physical appearances but in this show, I found both of them, especially Yeon Woo Jin, attractive. His expressions were adorable, his outfits were interestingly well-put together and there's just something about his baby face that made me want to see more of him. I love the supporting cast as well - they did a great job holding their own. The second male lead was an interesting character - until now I cannot decide if I like or dislike the character's personality in the show.

Even the plot was nothing new, the show was fun, and the comedy kept things interesting. A few bits were just too slapstick for me but overall, I was laughing out loud a lot! Sometimes, I feel like slapping the characters because they let pride and ego get in the way too much, when a simple conversation could have resolved issues easily. Of course I should remember that it's typical of most drama shows to create as much drama as possible so I need to stifle my irritation.

The music was fitting for every scene and I immediately saved the playlist! Whoever made the selection should get a bonus!

I would rewatch certain scenes, not the whole thing but that's because I seldom re-watch shows. There's too many to explore.

Overall, I highly recommend this show - it's fun, great chemistry between the leads and the supporting cast, and the ending left a great sense of satisfaction!

Interesting and entertaining

8.5/10 is my rating. This is a 2014 South Korean drama with 16 episodes (65 minutes per episode). Kong Ki-Tae (Yeon Woo-jin) is beyond marriageable age and comes from a wealthy family. Basically the females in the family are like get married to the appropriate female or else. So he strikes up a deal with Joo Jang-mi (Han Groo), the wildest, and, in his mind, most unlikely bride candidate for him - to be his fake intended.

Spoiler 🚨 As the male lead, Kong Ki-tae is not incredibly likable, to me at first. He and his best friend just seem like major players who tromp on women's emotions so I wasn't sure I was going to like either of them enough to be the one for the female lead. Although there were times when I was like – can you say drinking problem – with her. There are twist and turns and love triangles. Some enjoyable side stories. It was predictable in a good way yet very enjoyable and worth the watch.
