Cha Tae Hyun and CNBLUE's Jung Yong Hwa have been offered lead roles in the upcoming drama "Brain Collaboration."

On May 13th several media outlets shared that Cha Tae Hyun and Jung Yong Hwa will be the main leads of the upcoming KBS drama "Brain Collaboration." The series is set to begin filming in July 2022 and it is expected to premier in  January 2023. 

"Brain Collaboration" will depict the process of police officers cooperating against the backdrop of a fierce brain battle. 

The upcoming series will be directed by Lee Jin Seo who also helmed other KBS dramas such as "Revolutionary Sisters," "Heaven's Order," "Baby-faced Beauty," "Becoming a Billionaire," and more. 

If Cha Tae Hyun and Jung Yong Hwa confirm their casting, this will be their first time working together in a drama. Last year, the two received awards after starring in KBS dramas "Sell Your Haunted House" and "Police University."

The production team of "Brain Collaboration" is currently in the casting process and expect to begin filming in the next two months. 

If Cha Tae Hyun confirms his casting, this will be his first confirmed project for 2023. The actor will be part of the 2022 drama "Moving" with Ryu Seung Ryong, Han Hyo Joo, Jo In Sung, Lee Jung Ha, Go Yoon Jung, and Kim Do Hoon. He will also join the upcoming film "Puppy" with Yoo Yeon Seok, Park Ji Hyun, Ryu Soo Young, and Kim Yoo Jung.

Before Jung Yong Hwa stars in the upcoming drama "Brain Collaboration," he will first join the new series "It’s You, Out of the Blue" with Hong Seung Hee, Lee Yi Kyung, Han Chae Ah, and Park Yoo Na. The idol-actor last starred in the 2021 KBS series "Sell Your Haunted House."
