Lim Soo Jung will reportedly join the new Disney+ K-drama titled The Hooligans.
On March 5, media outlets reported that Lim Soo Jung would be joining Ryu Seung Ryong and Yang Se Jong in the upcoming K-drama The Hooligans. According to reports, the main leads will be attending the script reading and Lim Soo Jung will also be there.
The upcoming K-drama will base its story on the webtoon of the same name by Yoon Tae Ho. It will tell the story of an uncle and his nephews who went to the West Sea after receiving an offer to be treasure diggers. The K-drama is set in the 1970s.
The Hooligans will be helmed by director Kang Yoon Sung who also created the hit K-drama Big Bet and the blockbuster films The Roundup, The Outlaws, and more.
The upcoming K-drama will reportedly premiere within the year and it will exclusively air on Disney+. It will have a total of 10 episodes.
If Lim Soo Jung decides to join The Hooligans, this will be her first ever K-drama on an OTT platform.
This will also be her grand comeback to K-dramas. She was last seen on the small screen through the 2021 series Melancholia alongside Lee Do Hyun, Jin Kyung, Choi Dae Hoon, Oh Gwang Rok, and Woo Da Vi.
Lim Soo Jung is also set to lead the upcoming K-drama Love Me with Yoo Jae Myung.
Last year, the actress became busy with two movies. She was part of the films Cobweb and Single in Seoul.
Lim Soo Jung made her acting debut in 2001 through the KBS K-drama School 4. She starred in various K-dramas such as Search: WWW, Chicago Typewriter, I'm Sorry, I Love You, and more.
