Lee Joo Bin confirms her next work after "Queen of Tears"
So Ji Sub has confirmed his comeback drama after four years!
According to MBC on July 5th, So Ji Sub will the main lead in the upcoming suspense legal drama titled "Doctor Lawyer." The drama will be penned by writer Jang Hong Chul who also worked for the drama "Class of Lies."
"Doctor Lawyer" will revolve around a genius surgeon who became a lawyer specializing in medical litigation. Someone fabricated the surgery that led him to lose his license due to malpractice. The upcoming drama will air in the first half of 2022.
So Ji Sub will play the character of Han Yi Han, a double-board genius surgeon who graduated from Korea's top medical school. He's labeled as the "Monster Knife" doctor for his excellent skills. One day, a patient died in surgery he thought he had successfully operated on. He was then forced to surrender his license as a doctor. Han Yi Han then decided to become a lawyer and find the truth about the incident.
This will be So Ji Sub's return to the drama world after almost four years of hiatus. This will also his first drama project since his marriage to former TV presenter Jo Eun Jung.
Before his marriage, So Ji Sub led the 2018 drama "Terius Behind Me" with Jung In Sun and Son Ho Jun. He was also part of several hit dramas such as "What Happened in Bali," "I'm Sorry, I Love You," "The Master's Sun," and more.
So JI Sub will also reportedly star in movies aside from "Doctor Lawyer." He will reportedly join the upcoming movies "Alien + People" with Ryu Joon Yeol, Kim Tae Ri, and Kim Woo Bin, and "Confession" with Kim Yoon Jin and After School's Nana.
