The upcoming second installment of the 2018 film "Believer" is confirmed!

On June 20th Netflix announced that they will be producing "Believer 2," the sequel to the 2018 film "Believer." It was also confirmed that original casts such as Jo Jin Woong, Cha Seung Won, Kim Dong Young, and Lee Joo Young will be returning to the sequel. Han Hyo Joo and Oh Seung Hoon will be added to the cast of the upcoming second installment. 

"Believer" premiered in May 2018 and it garnered over 5 million viewers. It tells the story of how detective Won Ho chases Teacher Lee, the boss of the biggest drug syndicate in South Korea. The second installment of the movie will continue its story. 

The first movie was written and directed by Lee Hae Young. For "Believer 2," Baek Jong Yeol PD who's known for being the mastermind of the film "The Beauty Inside" will direct the movie. 

In the first movie, Ryu Jun Yeol acted as Seo Young Rak, for "Believer 2," Oh Seung Hoon will replace him. Meanwhile, Han Hyo Joo's character will be a new addition to the story. She's a person who knows about Brian Lee's real life. 

There are no confirmed details yet on the premiere of "Believer 2." 

In 2022, Jo Jin Woong is booked and busy with several films. He started the year with the movie "The Policeman's Lineage." He will also be part of the films "The Devil's Deal," "Dead Man," "Boys," and "Mongyudowondo." 

Cha Seung Won on the other hand was recently seen in the drama "Our Blues." "Believer 2" will be his follow-up movie after the 2021 blockbuster film "Sinkhole" with Kim Sung Kyun, Lee Kwang Soo, and Kim Hye Joon

Han Hyo Joo also started the year with a movie. She led the film "The Pirates: The Last Royal Treasure." Aside from "Believer 2," she will also make special participation in the upcoming film "20th Century Girl."  Han Hyo Joo will also return to dramas with the series "Moving" together with Ryu Seung Ryong, Jo In Sung, Lee Jung Ha, Go Yoon Jung, and Kim Do Hoon
