Kim Sae Ron to resume activities after two years of self-reflection
Top actresses of this generation will all release a new drama in the second half of 2021.
In the second half of 2021, top actresses will return to the small screen after a long time! Each of them will be releasing different materials and genres that will surely make viewers anticipate. Jun Ji Hyun, Song Hye Kyo, Jeon Do Yeon, and Shin Min Ah will battle against each other with these upcoming dramas.
Jun Ji Hyun is set to make a return in the drama scene since 2016's "The Legend of the Blue Sea." The top actress will be making her grand return with the upcoming tvN drama "Cliffhanger" together with Joo Ji Hoon, Sung Dong Il, and more. The much anticipated drama will be written by famous writer Kim Eun Hee ("Kingdom"). Jun Ji Hyun is also the main lead of Netflix's "Kingdom: Ashin of the North."
Song Hye Kyo will also return to dramas this year with "Now, We Are Breaking Up" together with Jang Ki Yong. She last starred in the 2018 tvN drama "Encounter" with Park Bo Gum. Aside from the upcoming drama for the second half of the year, Song Hye Kyo will also join hands with top writer Kim Eun Sook ("Goblin" and "Descendants of the Sun") for the future drama "The Glory."
After 5 years, Jeon Do Yeon will finally star in a new drama. She will be working with Ryu Joon Yeol in the JTBC drama "No Longer Human" that is set to air in the second half of the year. She last appeared in the tvN drama "The Good Wife" with Yoo Ji Tae and Yoon Kye Sang.
Meanwhile, Shin Min Ah will return with a romantic comedy drama together with trendy actor Kim Seon Ho. The two are set as the main leads for the upcoming drama remake of 2004 movie "Mr. Hong." The drama remake will be titled "Seashore Village ChaChaCha" which will be helmed by Yoo Je Won ("The King: Eternal Monarch" and "Hi Bye, Mama!") and written by Shin Ha Eun ("The Crowned Clown"). Aside from the upcoming remake, Shin Min Ah will reportedly be part of dramas "Here" and "I am a Nurse, a Human".
