Yoo Yeon Seok will reportedly join the upcoming movie starring Lee Byung Hun and Son Ye Jin.
On July 2, various media outlets reported that Yoo Yeon Seok will be included in the cast of the upcoming movie The Axe.
Yoo Yeon Seok's agency King Kong by Starship as well as CJ ENM responded to the reports. According to them, "Yoo Yeon Seok did receive the offer and he is currently reviewing it."
The Axe will be the next work of director Park Chan Wook. He is known for creating the films Joint Security Area and Three... Extremes. If Yoo Yeon Seok confirms his casting, this will be his reunion with the director. The two work together on Yoo Yeon Seok's first-ever movie Old Boy.
The upcoming movie will reportedly be led by Lee Byung Hun, Son Ye Jin, Lee Sung Min, and Yeom Hye Ran.
The Axe will reportedly be the remake of the 2005 black comedy film "The Axe" by director Costa-Gavras. According to reports, the production is currently in discussion with the copyright issues of the original film.
According to reports, The Axe will begin filming this year. The release date of the movie is still undecided.
Last year, Yoo Yeon Seok led the film My Heart Puppy with Cha Tae Hyun, Jung In Sun, Kang Shin Il, Park Jin Joo, and Ryu Soo Young. If he decides to join The Axe, this will be his follow-up movie project.
