MDL's 2023 Watch Challenge F.A.Q and Discussion Thread

Glad to rea your positive feedback first ting in the morning, it is nice to wake up to a monday morning 

I know this is to late for most but this is a far fetched solution to copying the challenge application... But I have tried it in  2 browsers/accounts and so far it worked so if you try it please tell me if it works. 

1. copy the code pasted on to this document linked below: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1i2XN-F87gaAEJZcRFpdGhMiAQH7L3uNB7bjX6FbU4Bs/edit?usp=sharing

2. Go to your own  Settings 

3. Switch to code mode (right corner of tool bar looks like this 

4. Paste the code you just copied at the top 

5. Switch back to viewing mode (same icon) 

6. Look it should have appeared like magic ... 

7. Mark the application make sure you have some type of letters in the beginning and end of the section you have marked. 

8. Go to your application post 

9. Paste

10. Did the format follow? 

11.Save 

Done

I understand NOW.

So a total of 625 + 7 tiger + 15 treats do I get that right?

Nope if you finish that we will add another stage... this year the treats are pure substitutes, nothing you need to use to get to the next stage.  And the tiger is a pure bonus badge for completing titles from all the countries on MDL ❤️

Hi! The tools of the tables are already clear to me, thank you very much! Last year I did not do the challenge, and previously no table was used, that is why I am completely unaware. Thank you very much for explaining to me about the colors, it's a good piece of information!

Yes, sorry, I skipped a page where someone else also helped you with the tables. It took me a while to understand it as well. Just did a lot of clicking around to figure it out. Glad I could help with the colours.

I know a lot of people prefer to use a colour theme for their challenge and make it uniform but what I did for 2022 is assign different colours for the categories so I can look for the colours instead of the words when scrolling quickly. It worked great last year since we had very long posts.

Another  one for the 7 countries do I need to have 1 title from each country per route? so at the end of Black Hole do I need say 5 HK, China etc??

You always have the option of using treats, but  all habitats must be completed (each choice of route must have one essential) for the stage to count as completed.. 

Having titles from all the countries on MDL only affects the Tiger badge, and it is enough to have those once. 

That said, there is nothing to stop the tiger from going off in to the forest  mountains... but it is nothing we have provided or that is included in the hall of fame.

Hi! It happens that the tag for Winter/summer has nothing added, it is also the same for both, and it is a tag with a strange name "Bad/Wrong Tag" I think it doesn't fit the theme. There seems to be an error there. See for yourself:
