A little voice at the back of my mind tells me someone has already opened a similar thread at some point, but I can't find it, so mods bear with me and if I'm redundant, shut me down - this sounds so ominous... :p

I think, hope, the title says it all. Confess! You really loved that very silly drama, and you really don't like that super-popular show/actor.
Drama related, of course. ;)

Here's my first guilty displeasure:
Lee Min Ho. The man sure is handsome, but he leaves me so cold he could be an interesting piece of rock, for all I care. I don't dislike him, mind you, I am just... utterly indifferent.

Guilty pleasure:
Boku to Star no 99 Nichi. The plot is nothing original, the acting is ok at best, the music is... a music. And yet, I'm rewatching it. I loved it, and I don't even know why.

;)
fufu I like this ^^ guilty displeasure (actually there are 2 actors I have no interest in whatsoever) is it okay to mention those 2: first: Matsumoto Jun, I really don't see why people like him, seriously. I was first introduced to him in Hanadan and my friend was only looking at him while I had eyes only for Matsuda Shota :3 Second: Tegoshi Yuya, he's cute alright but every time I see his face I wanna slap him, don't why, I just can't help it. I don't hate the guy, it's just guilty pleasure: One pound no Fukuin: the story is average but it's funny and in bonus you get to see Kame shirtless

*it's just... I don't really
Guilty displeasure : Personal Taste : I really don't know why everyone loves this drama, for me it was okay but not that awesome, it's true that i like Min Ho and i'm telling you, i wouldn't watch it if it was another lead male but the story doesn't deserve this exagerated attention, it's an average story with many blank moments, i really can't see it as one of the greatest dramas. Guilty pleasure: My Princess : The storyline wasn't that great but i've fallen deeply for the drama, it was a great one for me even though it shouldn't have.
Lol, a shirtless Kame is an excellent example of guilty pleasure! ;)

And I agree about PT. ;)

:D
I agree about PT too
I liked it but it wasn't transcending either
Guilty Pleasure: Moyashimon

Totally silly, not much of a plot, over acting, but it was one of the first dramas I watched and it was so cute. It's one of my favorites for no real reason, hehe.

Guilty Displeasure: Matsumoto Jun.

When I watched HYD, I was all about the "tea boy," hehe (i had no idea who he was at the time). I've never understood the buzz around Matsumoto. He's not a great actor, and I don't think he's particularly attractive either. (Sakurai Sho is probably the worst actor in Arashi, but Matsumoto is a close second)

lol I felt exactly the same about Matsumoto
I've just added Moyashimon to my PTW list. Germs... LOL!!! :D
I liked "Muscle Girl" and I seem to be one of very few people who did. I might be biased too because of Hong Ki, but I just liked the show. ;)

I don't understand how "Boys Before Flowers" (and all it's various versions) is so popular. I fought through 21 episodes and I feel like I'm going to be sick even thinking about finishing the last 4. I hated everything about it.

The same goes for Coffee Prince.

I also don't understand the fuss about Oguri Shun. I didn't like even one of the roles he had in any drama, yet. :P
Chen Qiao En/Joe Chen - loved her in Fated to Love You, but only because her character had growth and development! Every other drama I've seen with her has her playing the same character - loud and slightly obnoxious girl who is poor/cares about money and with her pure/kind heart wins over the guy. With no variation :(

Wu Zun [used to be part of Fahrenheit, TW boy band] - people rave about him, but honestly? I think they only watch because of his looks.

Goo Hye Sun - watched her in BOF. Meh, but okay. Didn't feel much chemistry. Watched her in Absolute Boyfriend. BLEGH. There's one particular kissy face she makes which bugs me. Probably because it happened every other scene.

I really liked Curse of the Golden Flower I know I know, pretty packaging with a weak story...but I honestly enjoyed it a lot. :P
Took the words right out of my mouth. I feel the exact same way about Lee Min Ho. It's like...meh...*shrug* Maybe I'll one day watch a drama that will change my mind about him.
I have few guilty displeasures: 1. You're Beautiful - still can't understand the popularity of this drama (it's my favourite topic to complain about, actually); for me it was a combination of a weak plot, naive characters and really bad acting; 2. Jang Geun Seok - I know, I know, there are many people who love him and I respect it, but I don't like his hairstyles, they're weird and mostly freak me out; I can't look past that and see him as something more than just a fashion victim; 3. Lee Min Ho - pretty boy, but he doesn't convince me in any of his roles. Guilty pleasure: Hana Yori Dango - when I looked at it from the perspective, I asked myself why the heck did I even like this drama, it was really cheesy, naive and all (so mostly all those things I didn't like in YAB); but then I watched it again and remembered: I still think that despite all its faults HYD is one really awesome drama! Don't really know why, but I love it.
Guilty Displeasure: Taecyon--I'm not sure why, but I don't go gaga crazy over him like I did with the other male leads in Dream High. Sure, he's handsome, but in my opinion, he has nothing on WooYoung or Kim Soo Hyun. I also think he was the weak male link on that show. Guilty Pleasure: Yokai Ningen Bem--I did not expect much from a drama that involved kind of chessy cgi and changing back and forth from humanoid to monster. However, no matter what I do, I remember everything that happened in that drama and the emotional impact it had on me in the end. Oh, and Kame nearly naked--that, of course, was a bonus! Now I can't wait for the movie version to come out. It's funny how I really defend this drama too.
Guilty Displeasure: Kim Soo Hyun -- I don't get it. I don't think he is that great of an actor. The cute factor isn't there for me either. I liked Dream High, but he wasn't even the one I liked the most. I liked WooYoung, Uhm Ki Joon, and Bae Yong Jun way more. Maybe it is because I'm older. I haven't even watched The Moon that Embraces the Sun yet, because I'm not interested in watching him for 20 episodes. Guilty Pleasure: Shining Inheritance -- I know that most people think this is an ok drama, but I totally LOVE that drama. I could watch it again right now with no regrets. I'm not even sure why. It isn't an original story and the acting is ok. I like Lee Seung Ki a lot, but it isn't even him that draws me to this drama.
