I liked Dream High, but he wasn't even the one I liked the most. I liked WooYoung, Uhm Ki Joon, and Bae Yong Jun way more. Maybe it is because I'm older. I haven't even watched The Moon that Embraces the Sun yet, because I'm not interested in watching him for 20 episodes.

Guilty Pleasure: Shining Inheritance -- I know that most people think this is an ok drama, but I totally LOVE that drama. I could watch it again right now with no regrets. I'm not even sure why. It isn't an original story and the acting is ok. I like Lee Seung Ki a lot, but it isn't even him that draws me to this drama.

I'm not young, so I don't know why that has anything to do with why I like Kim Soo Hyun. I found him much more engaging than Taecyon as an actor.
Guilty Displeasure: agree about Matsujun.. and another one for me is Kim Hyun Joong.. i can't find him attractive...i also don't really like his acting.. i actually have a lot of guilt displeasures... but those two were what i can think of now... :D Guilty Pleasure: for my own reason, I'll say Oguri Shun...kekeke after Hana Kimi, I hated him for no reasons... I didn't watch any of his drama or movie after that (or tried to watch but then dropped it) I also told my friends that I hate him...when my friends invited me to watch his movie, I rejected them only with the reason that I hate Oguri Shun... but then I watched Arakawa... since I watched the anime before, I already had favorite character; the Kappa...and I thought in the live action, the actor who plays Kappa is really awesome...then I read that it's Oguri Shun...lol so I love him since then, and let my friends laugh at me.. :P
gulity plessure : mary stayed out all night. yea, you dont have to say it, i know. but i think it's funny and i grew up in a place with a really active local music scene. half my friends were musicians. i spent most of my times at clubs bars and concerts. Kang Moo Gyul and his little crew remind me so much of guys i used to hang out with (and date :P) and his apt really puts me in mind of my first apt (which i lived in longer than i've ever lived any where else) so it's got the nostalgia factor.

guilty dislike : well not really a dislike so much as i "i dont get it" Daesung from Big Bang. sure he's got a rockin' body and he's cute in that ugly puppy / little brother kind of way and when you see him on the variety shows he's all sweet and funny and he does seem like a genuinely nice person but i just do not find him attractive AT ALL. i wouldnt go so far as to say ugly but... not attractive.
yankumicho wrote: Guilty Displeasure: Taecyon--I'm not sure why, but I don't go gaga crazy over him like I did with the other male leads in Dream High.
.

i know why. it's the ears. it was cold as all monkey balls during filming and his ears were bright red the ENTIRE show. i dont know if the redness just made them look huge or if they are actually huge but i found it very distracting. you couldnt look at anything else.

You might be right here. That did bother me a bit.

I didn't mean that only young people like him. I just am not sure why I don't like him and I thought it might be the age difference. I tend to like older men.

Okay. That makes more sense. I'm a mix; most of my favorite Japanese actors are older or the same age as me, but most of my favorite Korean actors are younger or very close in age to me.

Maybe I'll one day watch a drama that will change my mind about him.

Egoistically, I'm very glad not to be alone here. ;-)

1. You're Beautiful - still can't understand the popularity of this drama (it's my favourite topic to complain about, actually); for me it was a combination of a weak plot, naive characters and really bad acting;

2. Jang Geun Seok - I know, I know, there are many people who love him and I respect it, but I don't like his hairstyles, they're weird and mostly freak me out; I can't look past that and see him as something more than just a fashion victim;

3. Lee Min Ho - pretty boy, but he doesn't convince me in any of his roles.

Guilty pleasure:
Hana Yori Dango - when I looked at it from the perspective, I asked myself why the heck did I even like this drama, it was really cheesy, naive and all (so mostly all those things I didn't like in YAB); but then I watched it again and remembered: I still think that despite all its faults HYD is one really awesome drama! Don't really know why, but I love it.

Can I agree on every single word?
As for Jang Geun Suk, I truly loved him in Beethoven Virus, the first drama I saw him in. I thought he was really talented and handsome (not surprisingly, he's very short hair there). Then I watched Baby and I and loved him there too: a cute part, well acted, imo. So my disappointment was even bigger when I saw him in YaB - which, I agree, is badly acted by all; in Mary Stayed Out - where I found him bearable, but not so the drama (sorry Cityhunter!!!) and the worst in You're my Pet, a horrible movie from whatever angle I think about it. I'll stay away from Love Rain for a while for fear of rushes.
:p

LMAO!!!! I liked Dream High, but the thing which is engraved in my memory till today is not a scene, or a song, or a character: it's the air puffing. If they had shot the drama open air it would have been warmer, it seems. ;)

I apologize for not quoting everyone. I'm enjoying all your guilty (dis)pleasures a lot! Thank you. :D
my guilty displeasure is MIDAS- a hot No Min Woo but too mexican drama like my guilty pleasure is BOF, is a feast to women eyes.

Uh, this reminded me of another one of my very guilty pleasures: Kim Hyun Joong indeed. I am afraid I don't see him ever becoming a good actor, but there's something about his smile which makes me incredibly tolerant towards his professional flaws.
When I watched BoF (did anyone not watch it, I wonder? A bad drama, and yet I never thought of dropping it :p), possibly because the lead was His Marbleness Lee Min Ho (with curls, no less ), I hoped till the very last second that silly Jan Di would choose Ji Hoo... just because! LOL
Guilty pleasure = good makjangs I love 'em :D Guilty Displeasure = Coffee Prince I just don't love it lol its ok I think I gave it a 7/10 & it was one of my early dramas when I was much more generous with my scores...I know EVERYONE raves about it & I should like it more but I don't ....the only bit that I found at all moving was the beach scene rest of the drama it just left me saying meh. also I dont get the fascination with Lee Min Ho either even in City Hunter I didnt have a single heart flutter lol Hes good looking but leaves me cold. @Rita : Re KHJ - I dont like his acting either & to this day I cannot understand how I managed to finish Playful Kiss when I hated everything about that drama sooooo much I think it must be the smile :) Re JGS - I haven't seen BV but I agree with what you say about the rest of his work ......I actually dropped You Are My Pet cos I found it so abysmal.......Love Rain was good though definitely his best drama/film out of the ones I have seen.

Huh, that is interesting. It's funny how diverse preferences can be.

Hahaha, I too finished Playful Kiss DESPITE ... the drama. And I know that KHJ is the only reason. If this isn't a guilty pleasure, what is? ;)

Love Rain is still on my PTW list. I just need to let some time pass and erase from my memory JGS's yapping... :p
Guilty Displeasures: Kim Hyun Joong, Playful Kiss and Boys Before Barfing. I don't understand the fuss about any of these three things. Also.... Monkey YooChun and Matsumushmouth Jun. To me these two men are the opposite of cute. (sorry lovers of these things...I mean no disrespect.) This is the place where I can voice my displeasure right?! Guilty Pleasure: Any cheesy drama that I liked just because I liked it!!! I know they aren't the best but still...I don't care. Dramas: Lie to Me ~ I know! But Kang Ji Hwan ssi and Yoon Eun Hye had the most amazing chemistry! I want to poor sticky uncomfortable coca cola all over myself and have D chase me around the house! Damn them! My Girl ~ Wookie! My Princess ~ I know! But it was so cute! When it wasn't a little boring. Actor: Song Seung Heon. I mean... I wanna watch Time Slip Dr. Jin but mostly because he's just so hot! I hope his acting has improved but even if it hasn't, I must confess, I don't care. don't judge me!
lol I just noticed that most of the people here have a guilty displeasure against Matsumoto Jun
