They're literally just copy pasting the Thai version with a slight Japanese twist- not changing a thing :0

Yes, that's also my impression. (In this respect, it reminds me of the Korean remake of "Why R U?")

Although I'm enjoying LITA-J, so far it's a pretty direct (but compressed) remake of a good original that doesn't need remaking.

OMG one of my all time favs IFYLITA. Do you know the status on the sequel that goes back further in time where they ended the series with that preview? I last saw the production team and the actors announce on Twitter not long after the series ended that they had plans to start production on it.

I had trouble connecting with it at first, which I have mentioned before so I won't beat a dead horse, but it got better for me around ep 4/5 I think. Been loving it since. You will LOVE Kidnap! Ohm and Leng are just incredible together throughout the entire thing. The entire cast is phenomenal.
