please do! and when you do, dm me  and we can talk about it

Defo will do!

Does anyone know who the composer is for Flourished Peony's instrumental OST? I thought it sounded like Tan Xuan (I'm only in the first 5 minutes of the first episode so maybe I'm jumping the gun) but I haven't found credits for him yet, just the usual "various artists."

my bad I confused the composers, but it sounds like Liu Xuan Dou (Story of Ming Lan)

Hey everyone! I just found this club and thought I’d drop in to say hi. I’m Simi, and I’m totally obsessed with music. It’s a huge part of my daily life. If you see me around, I’m probably rocking my headphones. My music taste is all over the place! Lately, I’ve been really into covers and original tracks by VTUBERS.

My favorite soundtracks come from all over the globe since I enjoy dramas from different countries. My playlist is a fun mix of various styles. When I discover a song I really vibe with, I can’t help but play it on repeat—sometimes up to 20 times a day for months! It usually makes it onto my Spotify wrap-up at the end of the year.

It’s tough to narrow it down to three, but here’s one from each country, haha:

Above The Sunset is a great song. I also listen to it multiple times. Liu Yu Ning sings a lot of OST, I never listen to You Are My Everything before, but he has a great voice. As for Bii, Back in Time is great but I really like Someone Like You OST I'm Still Missing You where he make a brief appearance as ML's car race competitor at the beginning of the drama.

My recent favorite Chinese OST singer is Hu Xia (mainland China) and Eric Chou (Taiwan) but I'm currently trying to catch up with Zhou Shen (male singer, when I first know it back then, I can't believe it) who sang the ending song of Moonlight Mystique and Zhang Bichen whose duet song with Aska Yang used as Eternal Love OST. Both have beautiful voices.

As for recent Chinese OST I really like:

When You Missed Me - Eric Chou (OST of Love Song in Winter) At first it's not a OST. I posted the previous MV version in this forum on Nov 16 which still can be played but I can't no longer find it on youtube. You should check on him if you haven't

Willful - Mayday (OST of upcoming C-drama The First Frost) Mayday also sing a lot of OST, and Ashin has some duet with various singers including the Mandopop king: Jay Chou in Won't Cry. You should also check the latest Jay Chou release Six Degrees (a duet with Patrick Brasca).

I'm sorry for the lengthy post.

I could use some helpf from the smart MDLers in The Soundrack Lover's Club.  Can someone please tell me details about the opening song pf the 2018 Chinese series, riginal Sin:

  • singer - at first I thought it was Chen Xueran, but on further listening, I realizedd it wasn't, so please please help.
  • song title - ?????

I've tried to find the song and artist with no luck :)  If you could direct me to the entire OST, Iwill be most grateful.

i've never seen the drama, so i've never heard it.  but i looked it up.  the spotify link for the ost:  https://open.spotify.com/album/3oBCzKkeqYuanBcOdOXlWh

the 2nd song says it's the opening song.  it's translated to original sin 原罪 for the title and it's by a guy named geng sihan 耿斯漢.  his wiki looks to be only in chinese.

Going through my old offline music files and its kind of amazing how many of these are OSTs. Honestly forgot how good the White Christmas soundtrack was until now. Lots of gems in here :')

Does anyone else have non-streamable music? Whether they're digital downloads or CDs? I still have I think two of my Joe Hisaishi CDs from Princess Mononoke and Howl's Moving Castle

T___T that sounds painful. sending you a hug

I don't have a single CD or DVD. I burned what I wanted on my hard drive and gave every CD away before I moved overseas. When I moved back I didn't bother to buy any cuz I move around too much. Well, and my laptop doesn't take CDs anyways. I don't have many books either for the same reason.

Streaming and digital all the way for me, lol. So much lighter and less space needed!

I see! Very practical. Yeah I had to get an external DVD drive to play my CDs. Not super convenient but it's nice to know I still have a way to listen to old mix CDs my friends burned for me one upon a time.

Moon River, Taiwanese drama, OST

Loved the main couple, they had a great chemistry and  the song is so beautiful and  sad.
