GMMTV 2024, the anual event where they announce their upcoming projects, was confirmed for October 17th, 5pm Bangkok time!

This year's theme is "Up & Above". One difference from previous years is that they announced this year's event as "Part 1". So maybe they will announce more shows later, at "Part 2". 

Anyway, some of the actresses confirmed were Milk, View, June, Lookjun, Janhae, Ciize, Aye, Film, Jane, Earn, Piploy and Godji. Weirdly, some actresses like Love, Prim, Tu and Jane were not announced for the event so far... maybe their projects will be announced during Part 2? 

Gap's author, Chao Planoy, retweeted the announcement. People are speculating that it might mean that one of the shows will be based off one of her books, specifically Us. There have been rumors about GMM acquiring the rights for the novel since the book was seen in the background of a picture posted by a GMM writer/director (I don't remeber who it was), early this year. And the best bet for the leads is View and June. Apparently the author is kinda problematic, I don't know the details, and people aren't huge fans of her novels. I personally would like to see different authors getting a chance to see their work on screen, but I will take any GL i can get. I hope we get more than one this year!

i had been wanting to read R4Y, so thank you!! i didn't get too far in and found it's unexpectedly racist?! ? anyone else check it out? i still want to see the show but i guess i'm gonna drop the novel. ?

btw: hiiiiii!! i've been lurking for *so long* but never got around to posting. thanks to everyone who shares news and such, and thanks especially to @AthenaTheStorierX for organizing this much needed club! ?

Havent gotten around to trying it yet, but i can attest that racism and colorism is not uncommon in thai novels, especially less than recent ones. So i cant say it surprises, nor would i blame you if R4Y is like that.
