Caesar Wu's eyes--surgery?

i am watching Egg and Stone (it's not very good)....but what is puzzling me is how different Caesar Wu's eyes appear here vs in prior dramas.  Is it face CGI?  Is it surgery?  I am not I appreciate the change as he was already handsome to me.  Anybody know the scoop?

I noticed this in Blossoms in Adversity and was wondering the same thing! I thought surgery or potentially simply eye training. I know there are exercises that can strengthen eye tracking muscles so they are more aligned.
