Using this as a template:

  • How did you [everyone] learn English?
  • Did you learn it as a child?
  •  From your family? School?
  •  How did you practice?
  • Do most people in your country speak English as a second language?

  • I learned English through (TV) shows and books.
  • I somehow learned it as a child, together with my other native language because it also has the same script (or alphabet), Latin.
  • I am still practicing it now, but not often orally.
  • Learned it by myself with the Internet, books and school.
  • Yes, they do but speak informally because it is pretty much diverse in here. (not the U.S lol)

Hence getting an ability of translating from language A to B quick. (like when I hear something from language A, my brain/mind quickly translates it to B and vice versa (even though it isn't required)).

I learned French in Canada.

Yes learned it as a child.

I learned it in school and some of the TV was in French.

A large percentage of all my classes until university (post-secondary) were in French so that was the main source of practice.

Yeahhh....I'm a german potato, we had to learn English in 3rd Grade.
