I've never been to a Korean high school, but I am Korean, and I have visited Korea a few times. I actually went there very recently, and visited one of my family's friend's son at his high school. Here are some facts. You have to wear uniforms, the only exception being elementary schools. It is actually kind of a common practice to hit kids - like rulers on hands and stuff. Or at least it used to be. I'm not sure about now. The education standard is very high. Times magazine rated it the second best education in the world. No homework in the actual school, but most kids go to an after school school program, and that is where you get homework from. The after school programs are on Saturdays too. Also, have you thought about going to a school where they teach in English? Because they do have schools like that there.
