Honestly I think it's sad and just shows how cruel entertainment business can be.
I mean there's narimiya who had to drop out of school to work at 14 to take care for his little brother because they had no parents and then he works hard and becomes someone well known and respected and suddenly after all these years without any scandals, some tabloid releases some black and white pictures which don't show anything at all and some random taped phone conversation he had with a "friend" over alleged drugs.
I totally get that he doesn't want anything to do with this industry anymore especially now that the tabloids are eyeing him more than ever and would probably release everything they get from him from now on. And that he can't even trust his good friends anymore, now that one of them has betrayed him so bad.

But still I'd rather him wash his name clean if he really is innocent and then retire instead of retiring now and people wondering if those allegations were true.

And I don't think he'll make a comeback in a few years, because he's already 34, this time now is crucial for him and his further career but I hope he at least made enough money to live comfortably now and in peace if he doesn't want to come back, he seems like a good person and I liked him as an actor
I saw on the news, and im very sad but maybe he is trying to cover his friend.
He is so handsome and good actor he will come back, because in japan something happenes people will talk about it for one month or two then forget what happened.
I am really sad about this! He might have hurt a lot to make this decision.
I really hope he will comeback again, because he really is a great actor :(
Yesterday I watched old scene of tv show where his brother wrote him a letter and he held his tears listening to the letter being read... It was really sad!!! :(
:cccccccccccccccc  I'm going to miss Yankee-Kun
I can't believe it even now! How can a "best" friend do something like this?! I can't forget such a person ruining other's life like this! I know Hiroki-san never used drugs, because he promised his late mom that he'll be a real actor. And he was true to his word. I will miss him so much, he's too talented. I saw him first in Koukou Kyoushi (2003 version) and he became one of my favourite actors from the first moment I saw him.

Maybe that "friend" was jealous or something, but that's no reason to treason someone who believed in him! If yes, he is not a real friend! A real friend would never to such a thing.
I'm not a huge fan yet I am very saddened by this news. This is how cruel entertainment industry is, it can lead to anxiety, worse, depression. I hope we can get updates from here after this
He can just go on hiatus and be himself for a while. Narimiya will be missed :(
from the sources ive read, hiroki's apparent trusted "friend" is a scorned ex-lover. from what i can get from hiroki's statement, he really felt "betrayed by someone he really trusted from the bottom of his heart" is him being severely heartbroken by that ex-lover that leads him to retiring. i think the impact of the nasty rumor, specially from the one he once loved broke his heart to the point hes determined to quit as far as his promise to his mother became nonexistent. but i guess it blew to him really hard. i hope he recovers soon from this. poor hiroki :(

ps. excuse my language but its just so fcked up to do something like this to hiroki
