SOOOO excited. they haven't announced the Sunday night concert yet but it's sure to be someone really awesome since this is their 20th anniversary. they have a contest going to guess who it is, whoever guesses right goes into a draw to win front of line access to the concert, autograph session and meet and greet session plus swag. How cool is that? I doubt I'll win but I put my guess in anyways.

Also Vamps AND Miyavi have talked about doing a world tour this year. I imagine Miyavi will hit Toronto again so I'm super stoked for that, but if Vamps comes too omg I'll die. I really can't afford to go to a ton of concerts but I can't miss out on either of them so I'll have to find a way to make it happen. (and just hope neither of them come on the same weekend as Otakon)

*praying for both to come Finland*
You know what's funny, my discovery of visual kei and falling into dramaland both happened at the same time for the same reason. I had just finished watching the live action Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon and I was bored out of my skull. Through some research I discovered Endo Yoshito was in a band and I decided to look it up on YouTube. After poking through what I could find and deeming it okay, I wanted to listen to more Japanese music, but the only other band I had in my catalogue was Girugamesh, which I had been getting pretty tired of but I queued it up anyway. As I was listening to them I started side-eyeing the recommendation bar next to the video and next thing I know I'm just clicking on anything that looks interesting.

This playlist was the result of that week. Favorite bands are Phantasmagoria and アンド -Eccentric Agent-
Ah I forgot to come back and update after Otakon.

so TMR was amazing. Not only did I go to the concert, but also to the Q&A panel, and stood in line outside in the heat for a chance to get a ticket to the autograph session. which I GOT! just barely. in the dealers room they were selling a limited Otakon-only pre-release of Geisha Boy, the new compilation cd of all anime themes by TMR. they only had so many and apparently sold out on the first day of the con. I managed to get one, so that's what I got him to autograph.
OMG it was amazing. he recognized my cosplay ^_^ he was really adorable at the panel and autograph session, but on stage he's so sexy. such a good performer.
while in the dealers room I also found a booth selling cd's, it was mostly soundtracks but they had a small selection of actual albums. I managed to find a copy of Undercover 2. it cost me like $45 but totally worth it, I've been listening to it nonstop, it's so good.

also my friends at JRocker FanClub USA got an exclusive interview with TMR at Otakon for JPop Asia, please check it out ^_^

so jealous.

not VK but also got to see Home Made Kazoku at the con, they were great, and then at an afterparty we saw the Akabane Vulgars on Strong Bypass. those girls kick butt!

Ahh~ Malice Mizer vocalists discussion is always fun xD
Mine is Klaha as well, though his voice is so incredible I can't really tell whether he was really singing or not... he sounded exactly like the studio songs and I can hardly find moments on which it sounds at least slightly different.

As for Tetsu, he struggled in lives because he just didn't have voice BUT he sang with such an emotion... it is thrilling.

I actually prefer them in the order they joined, but in reverse XD If that makes any sense haha XD
But you're right, I've never seen Klaha do a live performance at all. Now I never searched really good for one, but I noticed he never sings live.

I also noticed that out of the three he seems really nervous when speaking in public all the time. So it might be related to that. Perhaps he's no good with live performances.

Regardless of all that, I love them all equally and they all had their strengths and weaknesses. ^^
I'm the same actually! Gackt's voice is great, but somehow I like Klaha more. Yes, there's the Bara ni irodorareta live on which he sings but again, I can't decide whether he was singing or not xD He was indeed shy, or maybe that was his personality within the band, which totally matched
Any Inugami Circus Dan fans? :)

^This last one was the first song from this group that I listened too. xD
