There is a good chance that Cha Seung-won will return with the MBC drama "The King".
He is currently looking through their offer. T Entertainment told Sports Dong-A, "He is currently looking through the offer in Japan and will decide soon if he will do it or not".
Cha Seung-won refused to star in "A Gentleman's Dignity" and "The 3rd Hospital". If Cha Seung-won was to choose "The King" he would be returning to MBC a year after "The Greatest Love", which earned him the Best Actor Award.
"The King" is a romantic comedy that deals with a Korean prince who has an arranged marriage with a North Korean special forces sergeant in a world where Korea is under a constitutional monarchy. Producer Lee Jae-gyoo from "Beethoven Virus" is collaborating with writer Hong Jin-ah. Ha Ji-won is likely to become the leading actress.
"The King" will be broadcast after "The Sun and the Moon" ends, and will start filming at the end of this month.
News were running wild today saying Lee Seung Gi is said to have been offered the role though other articles say his management hasn't confirmed anything yet.

I'm not so sure of this one. It sounds like fusion of Goong/Princess Hours and Myung Wol the Spy. While I enjoyed the former, the latter gave me nightmares. I will give it a try for Ha Ji Won though. Had Cha Seung Won taken the role, I would be a lot more excited, but I'm not a big Lee Seung Gi fan.

I think this will be the first drama I'll actually give a try because of the leading lady. I would have also preferred CSW in that role, but it just wasn't meant to be.
