I only ask because I've watched halfway through ep.3 and I'm thisclose to dropping it. I don't particularly like either of the romantic leads (the prince is a jerk, and I hate how the heroine's personality flipflops so quickly between steely professionalism and desperation to get married) and as for the derpy villain... don't get me started. So in a nutshell, if you have the same problems I do with the early episodes did you think it got better? Or would you say the general tone of the series stays how it started out in the first 3 episodes and I should cut my losses (just time spent)?

The only episode I haven't liked is ep. 2, but otherwise I've liked it from the beginning. I have to agree that the more you see of the villain the more useless he is..lol

Well the Prince gets better, especially by the 6th ;), but Hang Ah is still a bit flip-floppy but its understood that because she hasn't ever really been in love before so she doesn't really know what to do when it comes to matters of love, I think you should watch until at least ep 8 because I feel like the tone of the series really changed by episode 5-6. I agree wholesomely about the villain and I just bear through his parts, thank god he's been getting less airtime in the past few episodes though.

Very little...I think the writers should really re-write him. I can't even hate him, I just wanna send him to a psych ward to get some help...lol

At first, I thought it was to set up the character, but what are they aiming for? LOL

Sometimes I wonder if they are trying, and failing miserably, to model him after the Joker...lol

Honestly at this point, I'm just putting blind faith in the writers and hoping he actually has a point in this story and isn't just there for like comic relief.

I had the same thought myself, actually. Then I rolled my eyes and couldn't take him seriously.

I know a lot of Korean dramas start off with the hero acting like a jerk but you get to know him as the writers start showing his other (better) side, so that doesn't bother me so much because I'm presuming it'll change. It's moreso the heroine's flipflopping that's pulling me out of the story. If she were outwardly all-business and inwardly all girlish and excitable that'd be okay, but imo she's just too quick to be vulnerable in front of the prince. He is like the last person she'd want to see her in that state and it seemed from ep.01 that being a career military officer she'd be able to hide her emotions a little better than she did. It felt forced and too rushed and she seems really inconsistent as a character. And that's more than enough to break the story for me.

I suppose I will finish out ep.3 and maybe give 4 a try but I've got other things I actually know I like that I want to watch so we'll see. But thanks for your input/insight, folks! You've been very helpful.

I kind of don't like that either. It seems like it doesn't belong with her character. But I like the story. And it's not that I'm a Lee Seung Ki fan....I'm really not...lol

But I understand the need to not waste time on something you don't like. I already dropped a March drama at ep. 1...lol
I kind of don't want to watch the next episode lol
Ah, I'm so glad the princess finally showed up! <3 Eun Shi Kyung has been one of my favourite characters for a while, and I love Lee Yoon Ji (and she's so adorable as the maknae princess), so I'm really excited for this loveline to start happening.
haha there are still people bearing to watch that idiotic vilain, I tried but just couldn't take it so I just fast forward him everytime he comes on, i do realize that I may be loosing some info , but I just can't take his creepiness, and seriously the actor is just trying way to hard to be insane. I love the king thought I miss seeing him act silly, because I have watched other drama by that actor and he was always acting has the comic relief *
I'll totally miss him thought when he gets killed, because I was dying of laughter at the end of the sixth episode that reaction when he caught them kissing was just straight out of the book. And he's kind of the only one who can handle his brother right now.

I'm still kind of sad that we are getting at the end of just sassy, and funny and that soon we are going to explore the darker side of the drama. But it kind of nice to see how they are going to make Lee Jae Ha mature, I wish that the writers are going to give Kim Han Ah some consistency because she a little too much washy washy. Got to love the princess I hope she gets something going on with that guard, they resemble each other so much.
Since I'm not the only french girl in MDL, I think I'm not the only one rewatching (over and over again) the LSG's french scene. That is just...no that's TOO cute ! "Ca fait vhhhraaiiiiment pohr !"

Yeah, totally agree with you. I also skip parts where the villain appears - I think they wanted to make him a super-bad-creepy-madman or something but for me his character is pathetic. I don't even care if I miss something important - I just can't bear watching his pathetic, ridiculous antics. Ugh...

[The reason why Ep.7&8 of 'Rooftop Prince' and EP. 7&8 of'King 2 hearts' is not going to be aired on Wednesday night is..]--via theyoungestmin

This Wednesday is General Election Day in Korean.. So each broadcast company will have to broadcast an election-night special on television..

There are 6 kinds of terrestrial channels in Korea.
MBC, KBS, SBS are some of them.. KBS has 2 terrestrial channels. One(we called KBS1) is a public channel operating by tax.. the other(we called KBS2) is an entertainment channel operating by tax and ad rates.
Most of KBS' drama is aired on the KBS2. And most of news is aired on the KBS1. So KBS' drama doesn't care about an election-night special.

But MBC and SBS are distinct from KBS ; MBC and SBS have just 1 terrestrial channel. They have duties that have to report about the general election.. One of Korean.. I'm also they'll have to do it.. I'm so sad because I won't be able to watch RP on Wednesday...

But this general election is very important to Korea, perhaps more than the drama.. I think they'll have to do it.. So please understand if you can't watch RP on Wednesday.

(So sorry, but it's true..
As a Korean and a person who care about the future of Korea, I can't say it's not important than one episode of the drama)

Anyway, for this reason.. EP.7&8 of RP and K2H will be aired on Thursday..
