"Hardworking Geum Jan Di attends the exclusive Shinhwa High School by a scholarship she gets because of an incident. She finds her shallow, privileged classmates unbearable, especially the notorious F4. Rich, handsome, and arrogant, Goo Jun Pyo, Yoon Ji Hoo, So Yi Jung, and Song Woo Bin are the kings of the school and no one, not even the teachers, dare challenge them. No one, that is, except Jan Di. Angry at their rudeness, Jan Di tells off F4 leader Jun Pyo, bringing a world of trouble upon herself. Although Jun Pyo persists on bullying her, he begins to find himself attracted to Jan Di."

I know someone is itching to post clips from this drama....
I rated it a 4. Kim Bum was good in it.
I think this is where my love for KHJ started...I did watch PK afterwards because I remembered him from this drama....lol

I love this video. His acting doesn't seem as terrible as I remember it. Ottake?!! LOL

THERE WASN`T ANY THREAD FOR THAT HERE??! Lol unbelieveable..maybe I should check if at least the japanese version is there. I like it a little more. But only a little^^:) Wow and then when here are so many members who have it as their favorite Drama :p

one of my fav scenes from BBF <3 *siiigh*...Gu Jun Pyo kyaaaaaaaa~

i'm going to sleep now..will be back again tomorrow to gush about it more mwahahhahaaaaaaaaaaaa
I gave it a 6. The original Hana Yori Dango is so much better (: This drama did not make me a LMH fan at all....haha. I actually liked Ji Hoo (KHJ) better with his "I have no emotion" attitude

Although I did love the soundtrack for this drama, aside from the terrible "Almost Paraaaaaaaaadise" song

hahaha Didn't like that song either. I remember loving the first few episodes of this drama, but then I just couldn't get past the other episodes. I tried so hard! Eventually, you just gotta move on lol I'm sure I shall survive not finishing this one. XD

Hahaha somehow I'm not surprised :p I liked Kim Bum, too. I thought KHJ got a lot better after he cut his hair....his hair in the beginning....It was just horrible! Hahaha.

And I love that song, too! I like the original version by SS501 and I like the slower version by KHJ. Favorite song from the drama (:

Haha it was my second Korean drama so I made it the whole way through. And in a way I kind of liked it - but I don't count it as part of HYD. The story is too different and too dramatic. I wouldn't be able to watch it more than once. It annoyed me too much :p

Omo, crazy, you've stolen my words from my... fingers and expressed my sentiments exactly.

I gave it a 7 though, because despite all its faults, this drama managed to entertain me for the duration of long 25 episodes, which isn't that little. And although I loved the japanese HYD 1, I thought the second season was a wreck - not to mention the movie, which caused me a serious attack of caries. Saving grace Shota-kun and his great character.

Here, as hard as it is to admit, I endured thanks to Kim Hyun Joong. Although he's not a good actor by any possible criteria, he has this incredible screen presence which I am drawn to. And because the acting of the others wasn't that stellar either, his wooden ways could be easily overlooked. Needless to say, I hoped till the very end that Jan Di would end up with Ji Hoo, although I seriously wonder why, since the girl was downright annoying. Hurrah Makino all the way!!

The paradise song... oh dear. I can easily imagine North Korean using it on prisoners to force them to confess. :P

Same here, and I can't think of a reason why I wanted that hell for him...lol

And jajaja...."Almost Paradise' used as torture device....Now that I can see...LOL

I like the slower version best, but I like the SS501 version too.

Haha I originally gave BOF a higher score...but after a while I lowered my score because it didn't leave me with a good impression. And haha I liked the Japanese version, both seasons - the movie was just okay though, I only liked the part with the wedding. I loved the manga, though, and the Korean version is really far off from it so it was disappointing to me, haha. At least the Jversion stuck close to the manga, even if there were parts that were done differently or a bit exaggerated. Meteor Garden (season 1) was the closest overall, with the exception of a few scenes done differently and the way it ended.

And I do have to agree with that. And also Jan Di had a lot better chemistry with him than she did with LMH, in my opinion. It looked like she had more fun with him in her scenes and they showed a lot of scenes with the two of them, just as many (if not more) than they showed with her and LMH. And she was really annoying =__= I think it's more the actress than anything else, I started Absolute Boyfriend and Jiro (and the other guy) are the only reasons why I'm not dropping it, haha.

And LOL that would be torture!
