I am getting tired of the Han SeKyung role, she NEVER smiles. I like how smart she is. But there is no comic relief in what I thought was a romantic comedy. It is a total melodrama complete with crying.

Same. I haven't watched the recent eps which came out cause I don't really feel like it. When I was watching it last it was boring me and I felt like I had to force myself through it. In fact I had Kpop playing in the background, without that I don't think I could have finished watching the episode.
And the snores and predictability level get set to warp speed. GAHHHHHHHHHH!! *bangs head on desk*
TheHugMonster wrote: After she said that I kept thinking about it. She's totally right! Those arranged marriages between companies are essentially the same thing that she was doing: going after someone for materialistic reasons. Hope things don't get too messy in the upcoming episodes. The sister in law designer lady (I think her name was Shin In Hwa??) looks like she'll make a formidable enemy.

I also hope that Tommy Hung doesn't fall in love with Se Kyong. That'd be so cliche

thx for name correction. (m bad @ rem names)

Me too don want Tommy Hong to fall over her

Yes i agree that its become more n more predictable .... but truly liking that serious look on cha seung joo's face ^^
I've caught up to the most recent episode and all I can think is, "Can't this just be over already?" I mean seriously, this drama is horrible, it's almost as bad as "Big", and the deciding factor will be the last episode. Moon Geun Young has pretty much made sure that I never watch a drama with her ever again because of how much of a horrible actress she is. She has had the same facial expression since episode one and it does not change. Her character has no depth whatsoever, and rather then looking anyone in the face, she is constantly staring at their neck, am I the only one who sees this!? You can't give your character the passion they need by staring intently at someones neck, you have to look them in the eyes! Just about every single thing she does drives me insane, and she has absolutely no chemistry with Park Shi Hoo whatsoever, and hasn't had it through the whole thing. As for the rest of the cast I have no problems with them, and I think the ones who have done the best job at acting have been Shi hoo and Ji Suk, they actually have the passion it takes to be a good actor. And on one last note......The writers did an absolutely terrible job. There was potential in the beginning, and they have already butchered it and i'm afraid it's too late to fix anything they've done in these last two episodes. /End Rant.
I think the reason I'm so furious about this is because of my love of Park Shi Hoo, I was really hoping for something fresh, new and amazing for him to star in, I guess he got unlucky on this one.
i could listen to Shin In Hwa talk i day i love her voice.
Hmmm, this drama started strong but faded away later on when Seung Jo's character changed and I really didn't like Se Kyun's character at all. No regrets anyway.

This rant made me smile. I liked the idea of how Se Kyung was a strong female role. What i didn't like was how she always had a pitiful look on her face. I wished there was more chemistry between her and Park Shi Hoon. I mean there was so much potential there. I seriously loved his character in the beginning. He was so adorable. That being said, I didn't absolutely hate the actress that played the Se Kyung. Frankly speaking I've seen worse so she didn't really bother me that much.

As far as the ending goes. It was okay. I felt like something was missing though. Maybe it's because I'm a fan of the guy that plays Tommy Hung, but I wanted to see more from Tommy Hung and the other gold digger friend.

Oh yea I'm all for the strong female rolls over a pitiful drama queen anyday, I totally agree with that pitiful look on her face through the whole thing! So much potential.....Yea the ending was alright but not the best for sure, it feels like they could of done more with it.

I LOVED Tommy Hong! He was probably my second favorite out of the whole thing, Park Shi Hoo being my number 1 of course. :3
I sort of feel like I may be one of the only ones, but I actually liked Se Kyung's character. Sure, I started watching because it seemed like a cute rom-com, and it had PSH (who has saved many a dud drama). But maybe C.Alice just found a separate niche in my current drama watching season between the melo-ish type of drama one side and the stereotypical cuteness overload type, that seeing a character who didn't seem to fit either role entirely was a refreshing change. Once I got over the fact that we would probably not have too many completely hilarious episodes left (somewhere around ep 10ish), I actually began to like how blunt a character she was. Poor but not chirpy, practical but still full of doubt, and so honest about herself and her motivations. My husband watched this with me, and he said what he liked about her was how she didn't act like a princess, or try and pretend like she was getting the perfect fairy tale ending (and Kdrama fairy tale ending especially!) as a reward, just because she happens to be the main character in this drama. I also like how after all the secrets are revealed, they release that little twist where instead of Se Kyung having to hang around him every day in hopes he'd change his mind, Seung Jo is in fact the one who won't leave her alone! Seemed very in character for him to do that - though I won't deny that the plot had some really weird things going for his overall personality (or split personality..) At least it was once again kind of funny to watch.
I was disappointed with this drama whether it was because of Se Kyun's one facial expression or her stupid character or because of the plot who kept on dragging ever since ep 8. I know they wanted her to be a different strong female lead (not like those stupid female leads in other rom-com) but I suppose they failed to do so. As for Seung Jo's character, it was better at the beginning which made the drama loose its funny concept when he changed. They tried to wrap up the drama with Alice's concept but again they failed to do so, the ending seemed nice but it wasn't that great and made the drama look more disappointing. On a side note: I really hated the way they speak French, I felt like I couldn't understand my own language! Even the easy words were spelled in a wrong way. Every time they spoke French, my ears were bleeding.
