I have to say the female lead in Coffee Prince was more convincing as a boy/man.

I do agree with you, but I also think... it's not something that would ever cross the mind of the men, especially during that time. Why would a girl be pretending to be a guy? And you do get very girly men. So it's not really that much of a stretch to just accept that premise.

But yeah, Yoon Eun Hye was very much a boy in Coffee Prince, she did an amazing job with it.

same here
So, after over a year of watching the first episode (twice), it only took me three hours to finish the second episode *waits for the applause* :p

I was talking to RF and she made the same remark I had made to Jeanie, basically that I wish there was a well done compilation of Song Joong Ki's scenes (subbed...yes, I know I'm asking for too much...lol), so I can just watch that since in a total of around 2 hours 14 minutes (first two episodes), I've only truly enjoyed the parts where Song Joong Ki appears (he brings a smile to my face...lol)

Isn't he awesome? He needs his own main role....I'll never get tired of repeating this (hopefully the drama gods will please me w/o punishing me at the same time.)
lol it was ME that created the thread & then forgot all about it LOOOOL well as i already said to Lis SJK is the only good think about S Scandal Im just gonna rewatch that clip again...sigh
Ah! And the third one has been on pause for almost an hour....lol

Jajaja, I forgot to mention that to you.

And Rain, it's been soooo long since we agreed on a drama...lol Actually nevermind, you liked Padam Padam, right?
I loved that montage! and I agree with you and RF. He needs his own lead role in a drama...Hopefully with a charismatic and different character type so he can shine. and...I'm going to watch that video again.
cant have too much of a good thing...

Thank You! Thank you! LOL

So, I'm watching ep. 3 and I'm more interested in trying to remember where I've seen Cho Seon before. She looks and sounds familiar (She's the Queen in The Moon Huggles the Sun)
So I'm a little confused now. Did you complete the drama? And if so, I infer you didn't like it. Sure, Goo Yong Ha IS the best thing, absolutely delectable with his mannerism and his fantastic wardrobe. However, I thought the drama was very well done, never boring, entertaining and although it failed on the realism department, I loved it. I usually don't like historical dramas because I can't stand long political intrigues and the like, so I was very happy to find out the intrigue here is more of a literary kind.
Who? Me? No, I'm barely making it through episode 3, I was just playing the drama version of "Guess Who?" with the actress who plays Cho Seun. I'm that bored and I'm only watching so I can see the Song Joong Ki parts ( don't know how much longer my love for him will be enough to get through this though).

It just doesn't have the saeguk drama feel I like. I like political intrigue in historical dramas, which is maybe the reason I find this snooze worthy since I feel like nothing is happening. Plus, I can't seem to like the music. I'm 14 minutes into the third episode and she's still hasn't asked for the stupid undies. And I've barely seen Song Joong Ki. (That's the worst part of all...lol)

Edit: The 1st best part of ep. 3 -->when Song Joong Ki explained the lesson of the seniors to conceited, arrogant boy....jejeje Loved it! Song Joong Ki! <3

I really need to search for that compilation. There must be a fan out there dedicated enough to do it...lol
LOL, Lis, I must say you're very brave - or perhaps you're just masochistic - if you keep on trying something you clearly don't like. If it were me, I'd have dropped it at episode 1. If you are hoping for a lot of SJK's screen time, I'm afraid you will be more and more disappointed since - ALAS!!! - he has got less than he deserves.

As for my post, I was actually referring to RF. She forgot about this thread and then came back to say the only good thing about is SJK. Which implies she either dropped the drama or completed it without liking it - which would make her an even bigger masochist than you. ;);)
Song Jung Ki captured my heart in this. He is the reason I gave it a 10. And no I don't think she looks much like a boy but just go with it. It's a fun story.
