Διάφανα Κρίνα [Diafana Krina] - Μέρες Αργίας [Meres Argias] (=Leisure Days) 


Meres Argias's lyrics come from a poem from a Greek poet, Διονύσης Καψάλης, that was set to music from the Greek rock band Diafana Krina. 

Here's the poem, in Greek: 

Μέρες Αργίας
Ξέρω πως θα 'ρθει και δεν θα' μαι όπως είμαι,
να τον δεχτώ με το καλύτερο παλτό μου·
μήτε σκυμμένος στις σελίδες κάποιου τόμου,
εκεί που υψώνομαι να μάθω ότι κείμαι.

Δεν θα προσεύχομαι σε σύμπαν που θαμπώνει,
δεν θα ρωτήσω αναιδώς, που το κεντρί σου;
γονιός δεν θα 'ναι να μου πει, σήκω και ντύσου,
καιρός να ζήσουμε, παιδί μου, ξημερώνει.

Θα 'ρθει την ώρα που σπαράσσεται το φως μου,
κι εκλιπαρώ φανατικά λίγη γαλήνη,
θα 'ρθει σαν πύρινο παράγγελμα που λύνει

όρους ζωής και την αδρή χαρά του κόσμου·
δεν θα μαζεύει ουρανό για να με πλύνει,
δεν θα κρατά βασιλικό ή φύλλα δυόσμου.


The poem according to some alludes to death, while a more optimistic side claims it refers to a whole-redeeming love. (sources: 1, 2)
