So.

Everyone has their own idea, on how things play out, after the 'end'.
We know where the core went, as we were told towards the end, rather neatly, where everyone was going, more or less.

But, sometimes your imagination runs away with you.
You need to share, where your mind goes, because there's not much on TLB, in English, as of yet.

So everyone is encouraged to pick up a character, or a scene, expand on it, or write as In Character, as you can manage, on what took place AFTER.

Great Khan

Although, the Great Khan's life is no longer in immediate danger,
he never regains the ability to speak.

He has good days,
he has bad days.

He sometimes can take a few steps unaided, but he uses a wheelchair often.
Although he's been working hard to regain some mobility,

His arms work just fine! Thank you!

Chang Ge insists on spoon feeding him oxtail soup, on the days he's bed ridden.

She enjoys that he cannot snap back at her, and completely ignores vicious looks cast her way,
because they're for show.

It's all in their daily repertoire,
she is a woman after all, and Khan learned the hard way,
all women are vicious!

When he finishes his soup, which he could have fed himself, really.
She turns away momentarily, to place the bowl on the small table, next to his bed.

In the dark
His eyes soften, considerably, and the corners of his mouth twitch upwards, ever so slightly.

He hears she's vicious,
a real killer.
From the look on his child's face, she must be a truly glorious,
stunning creature to behold,
plotting the demise of enemies.

~His child isn't smitten

There are certain battles, a man cannot win.

~His child is instead; lost

Because women, hold up half the sky.

He scoffs under his breath,
This causes him to cough slightly, and lucky is that,
because Chang Ge is just about to turn back towards him.

He feels, he won't be able to hide his fondness of her, from her, for much longer.

Chang Ge is happy,
if the old Wolf is happy.

She'll continue this game of charades that he enjoys.

She enjoys talking at him,
while he pretends to detest her presence by his bedside.

She enjoys feeding him soup, while he clearly exaggerates his condition, just so

These are the roles they play.
This is the quiet corner of the evening,

Just two people enjoying each other's company, as moments stretch on.

The darkness of the night softens shadows, softens white little lies further.
What they do is harmless.

They are building a family.

Chang Ge reduces the soup further.
Is this how Mimi used to do this?

She'd ask the old women, but they've been raising their eyebrows at her,
a little too often lately.

Truthfully, gazing in to those glittering, knowing eyes of that Old Wolf,
transports her to another time, another old Apex male,
who hunts in Chang'An and not in the Grasslands.

Her eyes become unfocussed, hypnotized by the licking fire.

Leyan and Princess Yongning spend their formative years together.
Best of friends, cousins, more like sisters.
At some point their paths deviate slightly, Leyan has nimble fingers, can stitch the most complex patterns.
She's the very picture of Royal elegance and refinery.

Princess Yongning has an affinity for Warcraft.
She has thumbs for shooting arrows,
hands and limbs too big and long for needlepoint craftsmanship, but just right to breach the gap between her and an opponent.

The Astronomer observes, an unusual astrological event on the horizon.

This means change,
Catastrophic change.

The Princess Yongning doesn't know she's woken up in a different world.

Her mother as never lied to her, so she doesn't catch the pretext.

The fire spits an ember, the moment the spell is broken

The Old Khan's tent, is just up ahead now.
Her pace quickens considerably.

Tonight, it's under the pretext that the soup mustn't go cold.

Really, she wants the relief of glittering eyes, that scold her in a familiar manner.
A stern mouth, that would bark out harsh orders, welcomed familiarity.

His eyes don't contain kindness

He knows, she cannot take that from him too

So they play a game, that comforts them both.

Between them, the weight of all their mistakes.
These things can just hang in the air, in the open
before it's time to square them away.

She enters.

He looks sullen.

Her soup still looks watery.

He eats it anyway.

This is super interesting, loved your continuation and the relationship with Great Khan and Chang Ge.

This  is mainly about Yuan Niang and Chang Ge, and Great Khan.

6 years later....

Yuan Niang is practicing Martial Arts with her godmother and teacher, Chang Ge.

Chang Ge smiles at Yuan Niang practicing reminiscing about her childhood with Second Uncle. She feels bittersweet because The Emperor has come down with a severe illness and even Elder Qin can not find a remedy. Only time will tell if he will survive.

Yuan Niang is so tired out, she collapses but gets back up. "Chang Ge, can you tell me more about how you defeated the evil Princess Yi Cheng?" Yuan Niang almost out of breath asks. " I practiced really well, please?" Chang Ge smiles and replies, " Ok, only a little bit though because later Si Tu Lang Lang will come back from his errands and we don't want to get into trouble, right?" Chang Ge says playfully.

Yuan Niang sits beside Chang Ge on a bench

"Where was I? Oh yes, so Princess Yi Cheng and Ashile Sher came to disturb the alliance-making. Princess Yi Cheng announced that Tang and Ashile had a marriage agreement and said that was probably what everyone came for. Every one started murmuring.  Princess Yong An was supposed to marry Ashile Sher. " Chang Ge closely her eyes telling Yuan Niang as her mind went back to the events.

" So, Princess Yong An was gonna marry The Ashile Sher?? Wow. But isn't Princess Yong An married to Commander Hao?  then what happened?" Yuan Niang curiously asked.

Just then, Si Ti Lang Lang came back. " How are my 2 disciples doing? Chang Ge, you have been doing a great job teaching Yuan Niang, her father would be proud," he said looking up at the sky as if he was looking for Gong Sun Heng.

"Well you guys can keep talking, I have to go back to Ashile for some important issues and to care for Great Khan. " Chang Ge yells as she gets up and gets on a horse riding off into a distance.

Nowadays, Chang Ge rotates from living in Chang An and living with Ah Sun every few weeks. She helps with state affairs and is a trainer at the Martial Arts Academy in Chang An. Over the years, she has helped solve many issues of the state. Her well-thought-out plans and strategies always wow the elder officers as she takes into consideration everyone affected.

She also helps Ashile with its problems since it's her husband's homeland. After several years, they are still trying to cure Great Khan to no avail. Although a doctor said Great Khan would be able to recover and talk, Great Khan, got sick again when he was just starting to recover.  Chang Ge and Ah Sun investigated and found it was Lei Meng secretly attempting to kill Great Khan as revenge for Yi Cheng's plans all falling apart. Lei Meng was then killed for years of betrayal to Ashile. Luckily, Elder Qin was able to quickly cure Great Khan of the disease Lei Meng planted.

Although Great Khan never fully accepts Chang Ge, he must admit she is well-matched with Ah Sun. She is smart, brave, thoughtful and if she had never ruined his plans to assassinate Li Shi Min, he might have welcomed her with open arms. Now that Ashile has slowly weakened over the years, he has given up on his fighting spirit and has decided to live out his life peacefully on the grasslands.

Because of Chang Ge, now girls and women alike can learn martial arts and shooting arrows. Because of Chang Ge, the world lives at peace with war being a thought buried in everyone's minds. No one wants war and everyone hopes for a peaceful world forever except for the select few. She has forever changed the course of history.

There are still hundreds of loyal Sui people lurking in the shadows planning a rebellion. They cling to all of Ashile Sun, Ashile Sher, Chang Ge, Great Khan, and Li Shi Min's actions and figure out all their weaknesses but how will they be able to bring back a Sui that not even their powerful Princess Yi Cheng could revitalize? And could Chang Ge still be able to keep the world at peace?
