Romance dramas with unique & interesting love triangles or love squares?

Would prefer if the love triangle is amongst people who actually stand a chance of ending up with the lead. I really enjoy love triangles when they aren't too predictable.  

Examples of the more unique love triangles I can think of are sadly ones where it's not actually between three physical people: 

  • The Secret Life of My Secretary He thinks he's in love with two different people but they're actually both the FL.  
  • Healer He's involved in a love triangle against himself (his alter-ego)  
  • Oh My Ghostess ML falls for two women inhabiting the same body.

I'll be honest, I really hate love trinagles in my dramas, but by mistake, I did watch some love triangles. 


Kill me, Heal Me (He's in a love triangle with his own alter-ego)

Another Miss Oh (She's in a love triangle because she has the same name as the girl the male lead loves)

Bride of Century (She's pretending to be the fiancee of the male lead, while in reality, that fiancee is someone else)

Mask (Here again, she's pretending to be someone else)

Smile, you (He's in love with her sister first, but later falls in love with her, I know it sounds too cliche but if you liked the love triangle of The secret life of my secretary as much as I did, chances are you'll definitely like this one too!)

Which Star are you from? (Male lead falls in love with a girl who looks same as his girlfriend who dies in an accident)

City Hunter (Same as Healer)

For love sqaures (Birth of Beauty, Prime Minister and I, Warm and Cozy, Ugly Alert)

I love exactly same thing, real triangles not predictable and this is best show I've seen,

both ML are good, interesting, both have chance, you can't be 100% sure who she will choose until later. but the one she chooses is soo charismatic, they have such chemistry, I don't remember when I was shipping couple like them. there are no other cliche things, no amnesias or unrealistic slow motions. all characters are interesting and multilayered (no one is just bad or just good)

Also Check out these, though soke are not so strong love triangles. 

  • Meloholic - the girl has dual personality, though its a very different triangle that you would imagine
  • Hyena (2006) - guy helps girl to make moves on his guy bestfriend, he falls for her. Bestfriend guy is gay
  • Hospital Playlist - gyeol and jungwon story - its a guy - girl - God/Priesthood love triangle 
  • Love in sandstorm - Haoyang and yishan - not a very strong love triangle but still an interesting set up, boyish-Girl gets drunk and has a drunken encounter with playboy-guy who happens to be the guys her girly-girl bestfriend is in love with (and thinks in a relationship with) though he is just playing. Playboy-guy kinda becomes obsessed with boyish-girl after that encounter
  • Extraordinary you - the set up itself is pretty interesting in this one of manga world and manga characters having a world of their own. So its manga world love interest vs non manga world love interest. 
  • Bhoop Phae Saniwat - girl's soul transmigrates from the present to the past, and souls goes into girl/body who is super mean. Original girl/body has a fiancee which girl/body is obssessed with. though guy/fiancee hates the girl/body. 
  • Story of a man - a bit of love square between a guy who was imprisoned and ends  up breaking up with GF. GF ends up with a psychopath who amde guy went to prison. Pychopath isobssessed with his (psychopaths) sister (yup some kinda incest bit but he is a psychopath). Psychopaths sister becomed friends with guy cause she feel ls guilty with what her brother does.
  • The Devil/Lucifer - a serial crimes happens. a police officer is trying to solve it. A lawyer who looks so mysterious and kind, helps people. A pyschic (psychometric person) is asked to help solce the case. They are in a love triangle
  • Another miss oh 
  • Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms
  • Sweet munchies

I just watched "Sound of desert" and it's perfect triangle and really good drama (good production quality, only few scenes was with bad cgi but it's not fantasy so cgi isn't important and often)

she really really loved both and both loved her sooooo much, she is great badass and also lovely and boys are so different but bot very charismatic. wasn't sure about end until the end ))))

also great historical drama "Legend", so high level production/quality couldn't believe it's 2007, really epic! and has real unpredictable love triangle between ML and 2 female leads, both had great chances...

  • The Eternal Love 2 - The ML from the original timeline and the ML from the new timeline exist at the same time and both love the FL, and for part of the drama they act like romantic rivals But eventually one version of the ML is combined with the other version of the ML.
  • The Romance of Hua Rong - Similar to Healer. The FL admires / has a crush on the ML's alter ego without knowing that the ML is the same person as his alter ego.
