MyAnimeList windows app have been around for ages now and it works great.
It got awesome features such as auto-updating the episode or telling me the episode is out of range,shows the airing times and much more!
Wouldn't that be a really great concept? it's not like it's patented or something, the devs could get in touch with the people at Mal if they are willing to share the source code and then alter it to make it compatible which would reduce allot of work on the dev side (If it's possible anyway, don't know much about coding)
