gif as profile pic doesn't work

i've noticed that when you open the personal profile of an user whose profile picture is a gif image, the image doesn't "move" (as if it were a jpg image).

throughout the site there are no problems, only the personal profile has this problem.

oh, i thought that before they were "moving", i probably got confused... sorry and thanks for the reply :)
