Lighthearted, likeable characters

My first BL short film. Not bad.

One person is honest with themselves and others. One person pretends and is partial deceptive with other and deceptive with themselves, until he falls in love.

Thought provoking story. A little too vanilla for me.

The relationship is not as intense as the book due to Chinese restrictions. I recommend the two book series by Chai Jidan, which provides a sequel to the story. Warning, the books deal with 18+ issues.

I sometimes get disappointed with being shown a bromance when I’ve read the novel of a gay romance. This is worth a watch; although it could have been so much better with a bit of skinship.

Lovely surprise … would love to see a session 2. A favourite.

One for an adult audience. Sleeping around, obsession, murder, rape. Leaves a bitter taste.

Another lovely drama, about the awkwardness of falling in love; with the added difficulty, of being gay in a  predominantly homophobic society. 

Unique storyline ... showcased the insecurity a persons has, about their partners feelings and thoughts.

There short stories are hit and miss in my opinion.

This contradicted the previous episode. The issues that where newly raised could and should have been resolved in the last episode.

Thank god for the two couples acting ability … especially given they where required to repeat  the same dialogue over and over.This drama had some promise, yet badly needed better editing, a tighter script and more development of the romances.

One of the worst storylines I seen. But I like the lead actors.

Felt unfinished

Our leads play their usual cutesy couple. The storyline is mature and more interesting than usual, however it’s not polished.

If you enjoyed main series, I’d skip this. Way too ambiguous.

Enjoyed this mini mini series for what it was. Would like to this concept fleshed out to a proper series.

I’m mixed about this. Really didn’t like parts of the plot line. Made some interesting points though.

A more realistic and mature approach than most.

Good acting (for the most part). Bones of story were good. Needed another episode before the last showing the growing feelings of the  two couples … who seemed to jump from potential feelings to love, in the blink of an eye. Potential here for this to have been so much better. Credit to the main couple and a few of the supporting cast who saved this one.

Loved this entertaining offbeat romance … it pulled me into a world that felt like destiny.

Enjoyed the Kit & Mark and Pok & Tong couples. Frustrating. Too vanilla with main two couples.

I had read most of the Magna so I knew the storyline … probably helped my enjoyment of this drama … although it only covered the first books, not the series.

Recommend. Since I’ve watched this coupling before I wanted to see different character personalities this time round; unfortunately only Pavel’s character exhibited this somewhat. Really enjoyed the dynamic of the second couple … Michael’s acting in particular.

Better direction would have done wonders. Liked that the friend group/potential lovers was a mixed group and not all male.

Unable to rate this drama; it’s raw, confronting. Not for everyone. But the end made me happy.

Enjoyed this well done drama.

The slightly higher mark is for the commitment to eras demonstrated. Comfusing ending.

This is a 8.5 plus rating. I really enjoyed the quality of acting from the lead couple.

This handled the struggle of coming to terms with falling for a person of the same gender as well as the fear of confronting possible family and society bias (if choosing to move forward), really well.

Sequel to, I told you about sunset. Whilst my heart broke for Oh-aew, I did enjoy this well directed drama.

Lovely surprise, really enjoyed. Good comedy. Well directed.

Another chance. … with an understanding of individual feelings. And forgiveness/compassion of the consequence's of a lack of communication.

I like this cast and the humour in the script. This couple is magnetic to watch. Although the storyline was strange in parts.

Spoiler … I didn’t see the need for death, severely injured  or rescued from the brink of death with anmesia, eventually regaining  his memory, would have sufficed as a ‘separation’. By  the way, Jack, Arun and possibly one of the others should have been hospitalised given their injuries. Wish I hadn’t watched the special … and because of my viewpoint I’m not rating it. I couldn’t be fair.

Not an easy watch, but worth watching… a unique  viewpoint

An adult gay romance, so a breath of fresh air in the genre. Touched on many darker aspects of life. Left loose ends in character relationships  between family members and non main couples. In my top five. Tong Thanayut Thakoonauttaya deserves an award for his portrayal of Tankhun.

Should have been included in the main story.

Focus was more on storyline than romance. Majority of acting was good, but the bad couple of actors were quite awful.

A beautiful, realistic snapshot in the life of of two growing adults.

Ito is one of the luckiest characters ever. Spanning many years, this movie focuses on being brave enough to be honest with yourself AND live your own life.

Adult. Although involves prostitution it is a heartwarming story

Interesting choice for the main characters personality; at first I thought he had a form of autism, as he is genuinely honest. Enjoyed the insightful friend character, who only ever wished everyone happiness. My emotions swayed with this one.

I enjoyed this, however in my opinion it’s unconcluded. The sequel stopped part way through?
