Ahn Sun Young is a South Korean actress, host, and comedienne. She graduated from Seongmo Girls' High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree in Theater and Film from Kyungsung University and a master's degree in Journalism and Broadcasting from Chung-Ang University.

She had a tumultuous childhood as he father died when she was 4 but her mother did not tell the family until several years later. She went to study in England but, the IMF Crisis hit her family hard financially, so she quit her studies abroad and returned to South Korea.

Before officially debuting, she worked as an announcer for cable TV but was forced to resign after accusing the CEO of harassment. She then turned to comedy and made her official debut in 2000 as part of the 11th open recruitment for comedians at MBC, winning the Rookie of the Year Award at the MBC Comedy Awards.

She started acting shortly after debuting and also became a home shopping show host, doing both activities much more often than comedy shows. In mid-2025, she moved to Canada as her son wants to become a professional ice hockey player. She hast quit her live broadcasting activities and now spends time traveling between both countries.
