Tsai Yueh Hsun is a director and producer. He was born in a family of directors, since his father is the famous director Tsai Yang Ming, and his sister Tsai Mi Chieh, a director. He has been married to Yu Hsiao Hui since 2000. They have four children.

In 1987, Tsai appeared in the film, Fang Cao Bi Lian Tian, in a supporting role. He made his television debut with Ta Shi Wo Mama in 1994. Tsai performed in several films and television series, before directing 2001's Meteor Garden. He has since directed Meteor Rain (2001), Friends (2003), Mars (2004), The Hospital (2006), Black & White (2009), and Midnight Diner (2017).

In 2007, he founded his production company with his wife, Yu Hsiao Hui (于小惠).
