Line delivery is many things but is first and foremost the clear pronunciation of words and when you speak standard mandarin with an accent, the words and phrases will be incomprehensible to many people who are not from your region. And it's also distracting in a historical setting.

CL is a good actor and I really like him but he does need to work on his line delivery according to Chinese fans 🤷🏻♀️
