Hate the lost potential of a costume design in this drama so much I can write paragraphs about it. And funnily enough, I realized this is the same director who worked on AOS, for which I also wrote paragraphs complaining about the awful costuming and hairstyling lol.

I feel like some ppl don't really understand how these kinds of gender swaps or stuff like this that seem like unimportant non-issues to them connect to a much bigger issue about the industry with the way they dismiss it as "antis being boring haters".
Whether ppl care about the og novel or not, it's dissapointing to see the erasure of women and ppl who are dissapointed aren't tjr antis, they're disappointed bc it's become a very repetitive pattern in the industry.
Like yeah I've been obsessed with tjr since his debut and have been waiting for him to do something non gjm forever but I'm dissapointed bc I'm tired of seeing the industry constantly adapt female centric novels into male centric dramas. Chen duling has told her fans to respect her costars multiple times, but most men don't say a word when their fans harass their female costars and the production team bc gege didn't get enough screentime in a female centric drama.
